Episode description

A recent story published by Best Colleges sheds light on the alarming amount of student loans owed by Black people in the U.S. Not only do Black people owe the highest amounts of student loans, but they are also more likely to take out loans, take longer to pay them back, and have higher rates of default. It is a staggering and disheartening fact that Black people, who represent only 13% of the American population of 340 million, disproportionately bear the burden of student loan debt. In this episode I discuss the student loan crisis and its effect on Black People in America.
