When a new EMT or rookie EMT starts at an ambulance service for the first time, there is a TON of pressure on them to perform. As their should be EMS deals with people in their worst moments. 

With that being said, I had an exact training program, I would put all EMT students and new EMT partners through to make sure they were comfortable with their new equipment and EMT skills. 

I share with you a story of a new EMT partner I had and how I got him from extremely uncomfortable to confident professional, he later went on to become a Paramedic himself.
