¶ Intro / Opening
Welcome to the show that gives you the tools to break through into all you were created to be.
¶ Welcome to The Pam Ramey Show
It's the Pam Ramey Show and Jesus Girls and Guys, let's find our roar. Hey, hey, hey, Jesus Girls and Guys, it is so good to have you back with us today and Happy New Year. Here we are in 2025, and we are going to thrive in 2025. And we're going to kick off this year with a very, very special guest who is also a very, very special friend, Mindy Woosley. Hey, girl. It's good to have you here in the studio. Thank you, Pam. Happy to be here. Boy, you look beautiful today. Thank you. You do, too.
Why, thank you so much. You know, good lighting is such a blessing, isn't it? We just love it. So Mindy, you and I go to the same church for right now. And that's where we met. We did years ago, maybe five years ago. I think about five years ago. And tell us a little bit about yourself. Well, I'm a mom. I have a teenage daughter. Very beautiful teenage daughter. Thank you. She's amazing. I love her so much. She is. She is truly amazing.
Yeah. She makes me a better person, for real. Oh, that's awesome. Yes, I am an accountant, so I work in the finance field, and I'm a child of God, so I'm constantly learning and growing and just digging into the Word and learning everything I can. And what's better than that? Being a daughter of the most high king. Absolutely. And digging into the Word. Yes. Yeah, yeah. Well, you are a fire starter. I know that about you. You are, I've seen you involved in ministry, Mindy.
I've seen you, you have such a heart and a passion for, for people. And I see you very much operating in that gifting. And I've seen you really just in the way you relate to teenagers. And I'm sure that has a lot to do with having a teenage daughter. But you have such a way with the teenagers. Tell us a little bit about just your heart and your passion. I mean, I love the kids. I love hanging out with them. I'm the cool mom of the group.
I like to be the cool mom and I like to get involved with them and go to places with them take them out, shopping What do you do as a cool mom? Give us a little So cool moms, if you want to be a cool mom I'd like to know Our listeners, get a pencil and paper because she knows what she's talking about So you're still the parent You're still the authoritarian You're still the one in charge but you can still be fun and you can still do things with your kids and you can take them out.
And my daughter loves shopping. That's the way to her heart. So you find what they like to do and you involve them. And my stepson, he loves sushi. So for his birthday, I'm like, what do you want to do? Let's do what you want to do. Get on their level and find out what they love and what makes their heart happy. And then involve their friends. I think a lot of times we're in our own little bubbles and we don't focus on our kids' friends and their lives together and getting them together.
So I try to make opportunities for them to get together. Do you guys want to go to a movie? Do you want to go out? Let's go take a car ride to Bucky's. What can we do that would be fun? And this summer, we're going to have a lot of pool parties. So we're definitely planning ahead. You are already segwaying into the very next thing I'm going to bring up.
¶ Mindy's Journey to Kansas
And that is that you are embarking upon a huge move, a huge shift in your life and in your season. And you know that you know that you know that God is directing your steps. Absolutely. So... And that's what I want our listeners. We're going to camp here for a second, Mindy. So we're in Atlanta. Yes. And this Friday, you're going to be moving to? To Kansas. Right by Wichita, you say, yeah? Little small town where all my family is.
Where I grew up when I was in elementary school. Did you love it when you were in elementary school? I don't know if I really, I don't remember. It was good. I went to school. I was one of those kids that really liked school. I loved school. I just loved it. I remember the science fairs. I had fun in the science fairs. Oh, I loved the science fairs. Doing arts and crafts and stuff when I was that age. Yeah, that's fun.
And because you got to grow up there, you got to really experience a sense of community, that community of being in a small town. I also spent my childhood in a small town in Northern California, and there is nothing quite like that. Oh, yeah. And I think when you get to a certain age, like for me, out of high school, I was ready to move on. Oh, absolutely. But of course, as I look back on those roots of being in a small town, boy, I wouldn't give that up for anything.
Oh, my gosh. We spent nights in the yard catching tadpoles. We were running around the high school skating. We were on bikes. We lived outside when I was growing up. And we walked to school. It was back in the day when you could walk to school. By yourselves, just the kids, you know, so it's just got that small time feel.
And I'm excited to go back and to be able to raise my child in that type of environment where you can just stop by grandma's house on the way home and you're five and 10 minutes away from everything. And I'm just really excited to be able for her to experience that. Well, and you had mentioned to me that Ava has a lot of cousins in the area that she She hasn't been able to really spend a lot of time with. And so she must be very excited.
We went down there this summer for Fourth of July. And I had a surprise birthday party for her. She didn't know anything about it. And I invited my whole family to come over and surprise her. And we had like 45 people in the front yard waiting for her to drive up. You have 45 families? Oh, that was only half. Only half could make it. Oh, my. Oh, you do have a lot of family. So she was actually shocked. She was actually shocked about how many people showed up for her.
I bet that meant the world to her. Yes. So, yeah, there's a lot of family that we have there that she really hasn't gotten to hang out with and get to know. Well, you know, before we go into what God has really done, because it's quite a miraculous story of what God has done in bringing you to this place where you are going to. you and Ava's already there and you're going to be moving on Friday.
We kind of speed bumped over the why and what God was really doing in you to let you know that you could know that this was Him bringing you back to this small town. First, I'd like to say that I always said I would never move back. That's the first part. You really know when you start having a heart change. Now, I'd like to say sometimes God will speak to you in visions and dreams and thoughts, and it's very clear.
But also sometimes He speaks when He changes the desires of your heart. That's very good. And that's how you know it's Him, where you would say, I would never do that. I would never be there. I would never do these things. But then your heart changes and you start yearning for those things. And you're like, what's going on? I don't understand. Why is my desire changing? But the more we get closer to the Lord and the more we're with Him, our desires align with His desires.
And we start making decisions based off of that. And there's even a scripture, you may know the address, but that God wants to give us the desires of our heart. His desire is to give us the desires of our heart, but the desires of our heart really need to be lined up with His Word. A hundred percent. A hundred percent. That's hard to grasp sometimes. That's a very hard thing to grasp. When we think we know what we want. Yeah. But when we're not close to Him and we're not spending time with Him,
then we might be a little led astray. Oh, absolutely. When did you notice that the desires of your heart had begun to shift, Mindy? Probably in the last year, year and a half. I started thinking, you know, I'd like to maybe be in this area. I'd like to maybe make a change. Now, at first I said, hey, Ava, how do you feel about moving to Hawaii? And she was like, no. And I was like, are you kidding me? What kid would say no to that?
¶ A Heart Change
But that was not at all on her radar. I was like, okay, well, if it's not Hawaii, where else would we go? But I started wanting a change. I started wanting something different. Something was stirring in you. And you knew it was the Holy Spirit that was just, he was doing a shift. The season was shifting. There was a yearning for a community and a closeness that – I do have a community here. I do. But there was a yearning for an even more intimate setting.
Here, it's very hard. Everyone gets busy. Everybody has their kids in sports, and they've got a lot to do because we're all spread out, and there's a lot of traffic around here. Imagine that. Just a little. Yeah, there's a lot of traffic in it. It's a little harder to just pop by and to have community with people. You have to really be intentional. And my heart started yearning for that. And so this is one of the ways I think the Lord is leading me.
That is just so amazing. And He's given you significant confirmation throughout this journey, has He not? Talk to us a little bit about that. So I think when we make big decisions like this, we definitely pray for clarity, and we pray for those open doors. And there are things that lined up that I couldn't have done by myself.
We already have a house there. We already have things planned out for us in a school, a private Christian school, and And things that might take someone a while to line up were done in like the matter of months, days. It was definitely a supernatural. There was a supernatural speed to everything that all of those pieces of the puzzle that had to get pulled together. They just like they just came together, didn't they? And you think I'm on a single income. It's just me and my daughter.
And you would think you would have to be part of a double income home or I'm not going to make these big decisions until I have A, B, C, D lined up. But that's not how God works. And he doesn't work in the natural realm where you only have, let's say, $1,000 in your bank. It doesn't matter to God. If he told you to go do something, he's going to open those doors to do that.
And that's exactly what he's done. That's so good. I remember when you first decided to make the move, you fell in love with a home. And I think, were you going to initially get the first home? Tell us a little bit how God just changed that because he had something, he had an upgrade for you. He had an upgrade for his little girls. Do you remember that image where it's like a little girl standing in front of Jesus and she has a little tiny teddy bear?
And Jesus is like, hand me the teddy bear. And she's like, no, I don't want to give it away. But behind his back, he has a huge teddy bear. That is like my situation. Tell us about that. So we had a heart set on this house. We were going to, I was going to buy it as an investment property and rent it out until we were ready to get down there. Because I thought in my head, in the natural realm, oh, we'll move at this date and time, right, later down the line.
But that house fell through after inspections and things didn't go through right. And I was like, God, I thought this was the home. I thought this is what you're telling me to do. I thought all of these things were lining up. And why did we lose that? You know, we couldn't get it because they weren't willing to fix something on it. And so it wasn't a good investment at that point.
¶ The House That Fell Through
So when that happened, Mindy, did you feel that you had not heard from God about making this big move? You definitely question it, for sure. Okay, so you question the whole move. Maybe this is not the right time. Maybe this isn't the right situation. Maybe, I don't know. Did that feel confusing to you? A little bit, but then I was only for like maybe a few seconds, right? So you can't stay in that place because the enemy will come.
That's a great word right there. He will come and try to steal the word. Yes, he will. So if you knew that it was God, but then you started hearing and thinking differently, you got to quickly jump out of that mindset. It's like digging up in unbelief what you've already planted in faith. Yep. Okay. Yep. Yeah. So we already knew we were going. So the house fell through. You know you're going. It shook you up a little bit at first, but instantly we're like, no, I know this was God.
God, I know that I know that I know that you told me this is where you're moving. So where did you go from there? So a couple months later, we got a postcard in the mail from a school that we were looking at there. and a postcard to a football game. And my daughter's like, Mom, I really want to go see a football game to know if I'm going to like this school. And I thought, well, the house fell through. We had a little money set aside for that. Let's just fly down there and check
out the football game. Okay, like so random. So random. There was another house that we had wanted to see. So I said, okay, let's go look at the house. It's out of our price range. It's more than what I thought I could handle. And I said, well, let's just go look at it. Well, funny thing is, it was already had an offer on it. And so it did. I was like, I asked my realtor, I said, hey, can we just look at it just in
case something happens? She's like, I doubt they're going to let you look at it. But I'll ask. She asked. She said, oh, wait a second. The offer is falling through as we speak. They will let you look at the house. I said, OK, let's go look at it quick. She said, actually, there's a second offer already on the house right now. And I said, what?
Let's still look at it. OK, so we go look at it. But they're waiting for us to make an offer to see if they want to give us the house or the other people that had a standing offer. They waited for us to look at the house, and I fell in love when I saw it. What was different about this house? What did the big teddy bear look like? Oh my gosh. Compared to the little teddy bear. It's a lot more square footage, a beautiful pool, a beautiful hot tub, just all the amenities.
And my daughter's like, Mom, we can have full parties. But what she said though, she didn't even say that. She said, Mom, we can have Bible studies in this home. I can host them. Oh, my goodness. That's what my 14-year-old said. She was so excited to host Bible events with her new friends. How wonderful. And her family. Ministry-minded. Ministry-minded. Spirit of evangelism right there. Oh, my goodness. So, now you have fallen in love with this new home. Oh, my goodness.
You get to see the big teddy bear, but you don't know if you're going to get it yet. I said, it's out of my range. There's no way. What happened next? Literally 30 days later, that house was mine. Oh my goodness. Everything lined up. Everything lined up. Everything lined up. Did you hear that, listeners? Everything lined up because this was supernatural. This was God. This was God's plan. And He opens doors that nobody else can close.
That no man can close, and he closes doors that no man can open, and you had a door closed, and immediately another door opened right where you were supposed to be. Yep. Amazing. Wow, what a story.
¶ God's Supernatural Provision
God is so good. He is. You know, it reminds me of Matthew 7-11, that he delights in giving good gifts to his children. Absolutely. And a verse that he gave me, which is so awesome. He said, this was probably a year ago, he gave me this verse. And it says... Oh, I got to find it. Yes, indeed. It's from Isaiah. It said, it won't be long now. Things are going to go so fast, your head is going to spin. You're going to be blessed beyond measure.
And I heard that and I was like, wait a second. And he's just like, you're going to be blessed beyond measure. Everything that the enemy has taken is going to come back to you. You're going to be blessed. Your head is going to spin. You're going to be blessed beyond measure. And that verse just is Amos 913. Amos 913. Yes. It's the message version. I love that. The message version, but it's incredible. Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim. One thing fast on the
heels of the other. You won't be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once. And everywhere you look, blessings. Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I'll make everything right again for my people, Israel. Wow. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Wow. That is a wow verse. That is a wow verse. You know, as you're, as you're, I'm just going, that is a wow verse. I love that verse. I've got to. When he gives that to you, though, you stand on it. You do. That's Rhema.
You're like, nobody's taken this word away from me. You know, I'll have to, I have to tell you for years, I have been declaring that God is restoring the years that the locusts have eaten in my life. And I have been standing on that. It's one of my scriptures that I've been standing on for years. But it wasn't until a few years ago when I was reading Joel that I realized that that verse is Joel 2.25, and my birthday is 2.25. So here I was declaring my verse, really my numbers, my verse.
And then the Holy Spirit It said to me, and I'm speaking this over you right now. Joel 2, 2, 5. We are in the year 2, 2, 5. He is restoring the years that the locusts have eaten in your life. Listeners, Abba Daddy loves you. Your Heavenly Father is so in love with you. This is the year that God is restoring the years that the locusts have eaten in your life. And in order to receive that, what do you have to do, Mindy?
Got to believe it. We've got to believe that we serve a good, good God who loves us, who adores us. Because if we don't know that, we can't receive everything that he has for us. Boy, this has been quite... So how are you feeling right now about the mood? I mean, are you all packed up? Abe is already there. You're leaving on front. Are you driving? I'm driving. You're driving. I'm ready. I'm excited. It's a new chapter.
It's a great chapter. It's exciting. You could either be just sitting here in fear of all the things that could have been or what's going to happen when you get there and how's everything going to work out and what could be. And God has just given me life. He's like, it's fine. You're going to be great. Actually, this is how I needed to move. And I had some people pray over me yesterday, and they were like confirming it. This is exactly where he has you, and this is your promised land.
And he's made it so obvious. I mean, his fingerprints are all over that house. He made it so obvious that he wanted to take you back.
¶ Receiving God's Good Gifts
So in one of those moments, I got to say, when I was having a little doubt, when I had a few doubt cream in, And I got this envelope in the mail and it didn't even have a stamp on it. So somebody dropped it off and someone put a bunch of cash in a card and wrote a Bible verse in it. And the Bible verse was Isaiah 54. And she highlighted, it looked like a she in her handwriting.
She highlighted, for your creator will be your husband, the Lord of heaven's armies is his name, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. But what I did is I went and I looked at that verse a little further. I think she knew that I was a mom and I was just doing things on my own with my daughter. And so she wrote that verse that the Lord gave her, that the Creator is my husband. Jesus is my husband. Yes, He is. What I did is I went and studied that verse and I went further up.
And it says, enlarge your house, build an addition, spread out your home and spare no expense, for you soon will be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy the nations and resettle the ruined cities. Fear not. you'll no longer live in shame don't be afraid and I was just in awe that God did that for me, Incredible. So good. I just feel such a joy over that word. Such a joy over that word.
Mindy, could you share with our listeners, just give them, could I ask you to give somebody who might feel discouraged about maybe the season that they're in and not like listening to your testimony and saying, wow, that's so great for her, but things like that don't happen to me, which I think we've all felt that way before. What advice would you give to our listeners that might be feeling that way? I would say get to know your father. If you don't know him, ask him to be your
Lord and Savior, number one. Number one. Number two, get in the Word and actually read to know who he is, because all of these things that are given to me, to you, all of the blessings that you see other people have, they're inheritance. We're kids of our father, and he only wants to give us good things. So once we understand that, and like you said, we're able to receive it, because there are people that don't receive the goodness of God. They don't receive the gifts of God.
And so they miss out on a lot of those things. And they have the mindset because they let the devil talk to them constantly, and they don't understand that good things are coming to them. And so they might be blocked because they don't understand that that's their inheritance.
¶ Advice for the Discouraged
And so I would just say, get in the Word. Get in the Word. And as you get into the Word, even know that you're reading, invite the Holy Spirit to read the Word with you. And Holy Spirit will, He will have the words leaping off the pages. Will He? Absolutely. It's amazing reading the Word. The best thing that I ever could have done was to actually read my Bible to get to know God. So many people, they'll do a Bible study based off someone's written study.
And I understand that. I mean, do that as an extra thing. But. Get in the Word to know who God is. I love that you said that, Mindy. And I remember a Facebook post that you made like a long few years ago. And you said, it's time to get over doing our little one paragraph daily devotion. We need to get into the Word. Do you remember that post? And dig in. And I was really impacted by that post.
I'm like, yeah, we just need to be in the Word. We've got to saturate our mind in the Word, and it transforms the way we think, and it transforms the way we receive from God. Absolutely. Absolutely. And if you don't know where to start, just get in the Word and ask God to help you. And I actually went to Bible college to get deeper. I remember when you did that. Yes. Changed my life. Changed my life. I learned about miracles. I learned about the authority that we have, that we carry.
I learned about the mind. I learned about just how God works. And it gave me such a solid faith that I know if he tells me to do something, he's going to back me up. He told me to put my daughter in private school. And I was like, Lord, I'm about to send you this bill because you know how much it costs to go to private school. Like, I'm on one income. I don't know how I'm going to do this. But he told me to do it, and he provided a way.
Wow. He made a way. He makes a way. He makes a way where there seems to be no way. That is our God. That is our God. He makes the crooked ways straight. He levels the mountains and raises the valleys. He does that in our lives, in all of our lives, because He loves us. And what He craves most with us is the relationship. Just like you're talking about, Mindy, He's our Daddy. We need to get to know our Father. I think that was great advice to our listeners. Get to know your Father.
And as Mindy said, and if you don't know Jesus as your personal Savior, He loves you. Yes. That's the first step. Invite Him in. And I think if you're listening to this, He's already pulling you. He's pulling you. You're already questioning. You're already wondering. You're already interested. You want to know more. This is the time. That's why you're listening, because He's pulling you to Him. And that's how He works. He pulls you towards Him.
Yes, He does. I feel right now, we don't always do this on the show, but I feel like you are supposed to pray over somebody. This is a word for somebody right here. And Mindy, could you please just pray over our audience that they can receive what is being said right now? Because I agree, there's a pull.
There's a pull. There's a pull. Yeah. If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and He's pulling you, and you're wondering, and you're having these thoughts about there's got to be something more. There's something I'm missing. I'm missing something in my heart. There might be a hole in your heart. There might be something that you've never really felt complete. Well, that's Jesus. That's Jesus. And so all you have to do, it's so simple. You can say it in your own words.
There's nothing that you have to repeat after me, but you can just say it in your own words. And you just ask him, like, Lord, I want you. I want to know you. I want to know who you are. I want you to be my Lord and my Savior. I realize that I've got sins in my life. I've messed up and I need forgiveness because I know that he died on that cross for me to cover my sins so that I can come into right relationship with God.
And that I can be in his presence now because Jesus died on that cross for me. So that's all you have to do is just ask him to come into your heart and forgive your sins and then just have a relationship with him. He's a person. He's a person and he comes and he dwells within you, within us, and we have relationship. Yeah, and that's all it is. And you know what? He'll show you who he is. He sure will. You ask him, show me who you are. Show me who I am, even.
Who am I? What am I made for? Why am I here? What's my purpose? Those are great questions. They lie with Jesus. He's got them. And he created you for a time and a purpose such as this. You're here not by accident. You're listening on purpose. And there's a reason.
¶ Final Thoughts and Farewell
Because he wants to reach you. Because he loves you. Because he loves you. He's planned a life for you. He's got more for you. He's got more. Defeat is not who you are. Defeat is not who you're defined by. It's a great word. That's a great word, Mindy. Defeat is not what you were made for. You were made for more. As daughters and sons of the Most High King, you were made for more. You were created with gifts that nobody else can do what God created you to do better than you can do it.
Because God created it for you to do. And you are his masterpiece You are his masterpiece Right Mindy?
