We're kicking this Season off with a LIVE throwback from 2023, with special guest, Gerry Maguire, the CEO of SBHI (Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus Ireland).
In this Episode, Gerry shares a bit about growing up to become the CEO of Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus Ireland, and his own WHY behind his role.
He gets vulnerable with some of the challenges that he's faced, and how some of those challenges have continued to inform who he is today.
Gerry talks more about the many of the different ways that SBHI continues to serve Ireland, like Open Opportunity, as well as some of the things that he does within his role.
'See our ability, and not our disability'. Gerry talks about the message that SBHI worked to get across during Awareness Week 2023, and into the future, and how important it is to see ourselves, and to get it across to society.
