The right to an independence referendum is like the right to divorce: you don’t have to support separation to accept it as a right. The Scottish people voted for parties which back a referendum: denying them that right is an attack on democracy itself. I don't support independence - but I do support democracy, and the Scottish people must have their decision respected.
