But no single person is more responsible for the mess this country is in than Osborne: his cruel ideologically-driven austerity agenda whipped up a whirlwind of discontent which helps explain our current plight. This rehabilitation of monsters - and the failure to hold the powerful to account - is why we will keep suffering over and over again.
