We are the Heroes Network, an information and action-focused platform dedicated to fighting violence against solo travelers. Founded as a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit by seasoned travelers Melanie Rohr, Tena Overacker, Bruce Dorn, and Scott Brady—and our amazing advisory board— this will be the place to seek training and peer wisdom when planning adventures. In addition to education, our goal is to recruit and train volunteers to assist travelers in emergencies—a Heroes Network for when the best-laid plans go awry.
