The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) states that, on average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. These statistics only worsen over the holiday period. On average, police interventions related to domestic violence rise by 20% in December, compared to other months of the year.
