Episode description

Ten years on from Seve Ballesteros' passing, we celebrate the happiest moment in the great Spaniard's sporting life, with The Story of 1984.

Seve's incredible victory at St Andrews in The 113th Open, beating five-time Open Champion Tom Watson over the final two holes, became the stuff of legend, and helped immortalise Ballesteros as one of the greatest Open Champions, and one of the most beloved golfers in history.

With contributions from Seve himself, speaking in 2005, alongside Tom Watson, Bernhard Langer, Ian Baker-Finch and narrator Sam Torrance, relive The Story of 1984 in this Original Documentary from The Open.

This episode has been a co-production from The R&A and IMG.
