Episode description

Hello and welcome to this meditation practice that is centred on grounding and re-centring your entire being. Do you ever get those moments when overwhelm, stress or anxiety hits you from out of nowhere and surges through your entire body leaving you feeling extremely off-balanced and triggered?

For those of us living within the templates of modern culture our lives are busier and our minds are more stimulated than ever. This way of living causes more stress, overwhelm and anxiety on both a conscious and subconscious level.

When the energy from this stress, overwhelm and anxiety takes over our body it often shows up in looping and damaging behaviours or thoughts.

The key to managing stress, overwhelm and anxiety is to begin to notice these feelings and this energy within your body as the oscillations happen and then bring the energy back into balance with a grounding practice.

Whether the negative energy comes directly from your own thoughts and actions or is the energy from outside influences – it is important to take some time out to ground, centre and reconnect back to a deep state of presence and wholeness.

It is about balancing the breath and coming back into the present moment to calm your nervous system. By actively choosing to manage and prioritise your grounding practice you will deepen your ability to tune into the frequency of your own body and be able to come back to the present moment over and over again, giving you the awareness of when you need to ground in your everyday life as triggers appear.

Presence and Wholeness is a great place to reside. Grounding is a practice that is very important to me – and it is something I try and do with intention every day. It is something I think a lot about – and for me personally I find the best ways to alchemize and ground the erratic energy that can overtake my mind and body from time to time is to either meditate or spend time in nature, taking a swim in the ocean or lake, taking a walk, hugging a tree, listening to the birds sing or sitting outside under the warmth of the sun.

This is one of my favourite meditations to do – so I hope you enjoy it and it brings you a sense of grounding, peace and harmony

So let us begin and connect in by finding a comfortable place to sit or lie. Somewhere you can relax and won't be disturbed.

Grounding and Re-centering

Hello and welcome to this meditation practice that is centered on grounding and re-centering your entire being. Our lives are busier and our minds are more stimulated than ever and this way of living it causes more stress, more overwhelm and more anxiety on both a conscious and subconscious conscious level.

The key to managing stress, overwhelm and anxiety is to begin to notice these feelings and this energy within your body as the oscillations happen and then bring the energy back into balance with a grounding practice or ritual. Now whether the energy comes directly from your own thoughts and actions or is the energy from outside influences it is important to take some time out to ground to center and to reconnect back to a deep state of presence and wholeness.

It is about balancing the breath and coming back into the present moment to calm your nervous system and by actively choosing to manage and to prioritize your own grounding practice you will deepen your ability of tuning into the frequency of your own body and of being able to come back to the present moment over and over again giving you the awareness of when you need to ground in your everyday life. Presence and wholeness is a great place to reside.

It is something that I think a lot about and for me personally I find the best ways to alchemize and to ground the erratic energy that can overtake my mind and body from time to time is to either meditate or to spend some time in nature, either taking a swim in the ocean or the lake, taking a walk, maybe hugging a tree, listening to the birds sing or sitting outside under the warmth of the sun.

This is one of my favorite meditations to do so i hope that you enjoy it and that it brings you a sense of grounding peace and harmony so let us begin and connect in by finding a comfortable place to sit or lay somewhere you can relax and won't be disturbed disturbed. Close your eyes, take a deep breath in through the nose and in your own time exhale Exhale through either the nose or the mouth. On the inhale, invite yourself to let go. Let go of tension, thoughts, pain, stress.

Let go of anxiety, of worry, of overwhelm. Music. On the inhale we find nourishment vitality energy and replenishment on the On the exhale, we find release, space, surrender and freedom. On the entire cycle of breath, we find healing, connection and wholeness. Music. Breathing in deeply and exhaling completely. Let your body become heavy. Softening, surrendering, releasing. Melting into the surface below. Connecting with the surface or the earth below you.

Supporting you and holding you, your arms are relaxed at your side with palms facing up or if you're seated you can place your palms on your knees or in your lap, soften the temples the cheeks and the jaw, the neck is soft as you begin to release any tension that is held in your neck shoulders or upper back. Music. We are now going to deepen our breath by drawing it in deeper and slower. So on the next inhale draw the breath all the way down to the belly to the count of four.

So inhale two three four four exhale two three four. Inhale two three four, and exhale two three four four. Inhale, two, three, four, and exhale, two, three, four. Four quietening the mind tapping into the ever-present moment and your own deep presence that sacred space where divine energy resides sides. Breathing deeply, breathing slowly. Music.

Take it a little deeper by inviting yourself to tune more deeply inwards notice the subtle rise and fall of your belly with each cycle of breath notice how the breath feels internally as it moves in in and out of your body, do you feel its warmth do you feel nourished do you feel relaxed. Music. Breathing in deeply and exhaling completely connect to the stillness for. Music.

Breath and Prana Connection

Breathing in, imagine a beautiful golden light traveling from the crown of the head all the way down to the belly. The breath is drawing in this beautiful golden light. This golden light is prana or your life force energy. energy this is the energy that connects you to all that is and to all that you divinely are. Music. The breath manifests the energy of the entire universe the energy of the entire universe It exists in your inhale, in your exhale and all the space in between.

This notion is both deeply profound yet ever so simple. Music. Breathing in deeply drawing deeply into the body both the breath and the prana, Exhaling, releasing, surrendering, finding freedom. Music. The breath and prana, they move in harmony with each other, dancing together up and down the spine, flooding the entire body with healing, with energy, with light and with stillness.

Without the breath the prana would not be able to move through the body the breath is essential to life the breath is life and some would say the breath is the purpose of all life. Music. The breath it is your vital life force the breath it is your healing it is your sacred power the breath is what connects you to the present moment your own divine presence and to all that is. Music.

Breathing in deeply, invite yourself to fall more deeply into your body, using the breath to create space and stillness within the body using the breath to connect with that deep sacred presence within the presence that is your entire existence. Music. Breathing in deeply, drawing the breath deep down through the heart space, opening up and expanding the heart. Breathing through your heart space, opening up your heart chakra, opening up your connection to your own divine I am presence. Music.

By actively connecting with the harmonious flow and dance of the breath and the prana within your body it is your own holistic tool in keeping you grounded. Amongst the chaos the the uncertainty, the fear, and the unpredictability of life. Music. The space that the breath and the prana create within the body, it helps us to cultivate a sense of oneness, acceptance, and freedom to all that comes our way. Inhaling deeply, drawing the breath deep down through the heart space and down to the belly.

Slowly and mindfully falling into the stillness connecting more deeply to this present and sacred moment.

Immersed in Nature

Now visualise yourself sitting or laying somewhere in nature. Choose somewhere that brings you joy, calm and peace. Take a moment to get familiar with your surroundings. Notice the trees, the plants. Notice the colour of the landscape. Notice what time of day it is. Is it early morning? Maybe it's a beautiful sunset. What is the weather like? Is it warm and sunny? Maybe it's cold and snowing. Or is there a gentle breeze? Or maybe a little soft summer rain? Music.

Now take your left palm and place it on the ground beside you connecting into Mother Earth placing the hand on the ground in the spot that you visualized a few moments ago. As you feel your heart beat and attune to its rhythm, remind yourself that Mother Gaia, she also holds this same heartbeat within her core.

Remembering that you are connected, connected to everything and everyone that has life force energy flowing through them. Music. Inhaling deeply, say thank you, showing gratitude for the oxygen that has been gifted to you by Mother Nature.
