Following his first youth tournament, He said he just wanted to come home and take a shower. What he experienced was not the basketball that he recognized. It was dirty and slimy and unnatural and over-organized. Common sense told Bob Taylor(OMG) that the over-organization of organized sports was bad. It also told him that the emphasis on winning at grade level over player development was not good. So now he has committed to taking the road less traveled, in order to take the non-sense out of youth basketball.
