Speaker 1

It's taught. Were there any other injuries that came out after the last time, No, not that I know of right now. Some people saw it, but no other injuries are reported. What happened with Kemball Tompkins as far as and being tired off the fields? What would the injury? He had a lower leg injury. It turned out to be more of a muscle spas and type of deals and a major injury. That's why I came back. It

looked worse than it was. Some of your players talked yesterday about your your speech to them after the Texas game kind of being a turning point. What do you remember about that and what what was your message? And you were trying to get across at that point when you guys were five and fives. Just remember we weren't playing well, and you know, there's a point we were going back and forth. It can't be a five hundred team.

Either have to get better and tread water. You have to tread water and get worse so you can get better as a team. And you know, we started playing better after that. I don't know if that was the reason, but we started playing better after that. Todd, we were just talking to Calvin Pace and he said at that moment of the season, he got the feeling that he was either the team was going to come together or the ship was gonna sink. Those were his pretty much

his exact words. Did you get the feeling that that was a cross roads as well? No, I didn't. I don't think the ship was gonna think. That's not on cow And I'm sorry he didn't mean it that way. Uh, And we were going to do anything from a playoff standpoint in the season standpoint, and that was the time to come together. But we were still growing and building then, so it wasn't a problem of wearing about the ships thinking,

just a matter of play more consistent. So I hid the Bills look different than the team you saw in early November. I mean the same team. They're running the football pretty well, they played great defense, and they got a big play receiver. So there's gonna be another tough game going in there plays playing the football game. We just gotta making us play to win. Scott, how do you think you guys are different from when you were

when you lost to the build. Hopefully we've grown from a mental standpoint, you know, we we guys trust each other a lot more. They're playing together a lot better. So from that point we're a little bit bit different. Do you think your team has grown enough to handle the pressure of what basically is a playoff game? Well, the last couple of weeks of the playoffs games, they're really have no pressure. They just played together and we have fun and we try to get better better at

the team. There's no pressure on us, and we know we have to win. We've been having to win the past four weeks, five weeks, so it's no different going in the Sunday tod Do you expect that Rex Ryan, will you know, be probing these guys up to try and knock you out of the playoffs? I don't know. I mean, I'm sure they're trying to win the game as well. It would be something you probably to ask him. I just gotta worry about my team. But do you But do you believe in that in that concept though?

Can he can he coach he's on something like that and explain it to his players in a way we're motivating them in a way that there would be a different come Sunday. I don't know. You would have to ask a coach that would do that that that's that's just not me. I'm trying to win every game. I'll share every coach in the league is trying to win every game, and everybody has different methods. So whatever works for that team will works for us, works for us.

Whatever works for everybody else works for everybody else. God, you've taken the approach the last few weeks of you know, you guys just have to take care of business and then the playoffs will take care of themselves. But now this one is winning, you're in. Will you talk about the playoffs this week with your team? Will you address that the situation that you know what you're playing for Sunday? Or will you try to treat this like, you know,

just another game? Kind of tree is the same? I mean we I mean we understand what we're going up against, and we understand what happens this week, so they know that fully well, but we've got to continue to do the things we've been doing. We try to do anything else and we won't have a chance to win. So

why why do you prefer that approach? Well, it depends on how you are when you get a new team together, and you've got to have a pulse for your team and see where they are, and there will be a time when it changes when the team takes over and takes that approach until you can get to that team and you have enough time to put your imprint on things and they see how you want to do things and how the coaches when things done. Sometimes they take it over, They take it over early in the season,

sometimes they take it over later. But you've got to have a post to your team and make sure they always ground it and understand what's going on around them and not let the game get too big for him. What are the something that you would look for in that in that case, well, it can go both ways. You can hear a lot of complaining if you're losing. You can hear a lot of bravotto if you're winning.

And when you do those things, sometimes you let the little fundamentals and things slip by, and we just need to make sure we don't let anything slipped by and we continue to do the things that got us to this point. Calen Pates was saying, Um, you know he can sense the point this season where the players bought in, bought into you and the way you were preaching. Did you get a sense of that at all at any point this year that you you know your message was

getting through and you're buying in. Well, it's still a work in progress. I mean, I think we're playing better and they're coming together themselves. And as a coach, all you try to do is make them see what the vision is and then work towards getting there. And a lot of that has to do with them trusting each other.

Obviously they have to know what you're talking about from a coaching standpoint as a player, but them trusting each other and then believing in each other and getting that type of camaraderie and chemistry takes a while, and I do see some that coming together. Did you hear anything from Parsala's last night He's just sick congrats. Did you always see this team as a playoff team? Well, we gotta get to the playoffs for me to answer that. H
