What was your reaction when you've heard uh that that subjects we're gonna cut Cole Um. I didn't actually hear anything. I found out a little bit later in the locker room that he had been released. So um, I mean in this league, I mean, no, nobody's really safe. You gotta be able to come in and uh be prepared for anything in this league. So I mean, I don't want to say I was shocked or anything, because I've seen a lot playing eight years in this game. Did
you have a chance to see him or talk to him? Uh? Since I think the move was named no No. I had had a workout before that, and we had team meetings. When I came out of workouts, I guess that had already happened. I didn't really get to talk to him. Why do you think you guys have not been able to create as much pressure up front it Maybe you would help. I think it's been a mixture of things,
Um quarterbacks. The first couple of weeks, you know, we were getting a lot of hits and uh saxon turnovers, So you know, the game plan has been to get the ball out and the ball has been coming out of a lot faster or they've been max protecting when the ball isn't coming out fast. So either way, we have to work a little better to you know, get that pressure on the quarterback and create those turnovers and get sex. So you know, uh, do you feel like cold?
I think people were surprised by that. Um. I mean you've seen a lot, but still he was the first round pick. Do you think that they were spending a message, um and cutting him? I can't really stink on that. That's a that's a person that decision. And I've told you before you always have to be ready in this game. You never know when it's gonna be your last own or when, uh when when you be released or traded
or anything. So, um, I don't know them cutting him put anybody on notice, as I think that's just the business of the NFL. Hey brick, Um, when you look at the slow start the offense has gotten off to the last few weeks, what what do you think has contributed to act? Oh? You know, it's hard to say. I think, um, you know a lot of times, just trying to put together some positive plays usually helps out
fast start and it gets things rolling. But um, I think we've just have to try to stream together that a little bit better than we've been doing. I mean, here and there, there'll be some some nice things, but just consistently putting together drives and putting together or getting you know, into the red zone and ultimately getting into the end zone. That's something we just need to just do a little bit more consistently than what we've had
been doing. What do you got what do you feel like you guys have to do better in the run game breaks? Uh? You know, execution is always key, you know, focusing on the details. Um, you know the one thing that you know that uh, we always need to know the one thing that's you know, letting guys always have to make sure that we're all on the same page. You know, one guy messes up on offense, that can it can be Uh, it can really detract from what
we're trying to get accomplished. So just making sure that all eleven are executing. Uh, what's what's going to be most important for us to get back on track. What's the confidence level with the team right now? And then the confidence this time and you know there's a lot of teams in our situation right now, we just have to know, Um, we we just realized the situation we're in. You know, we definitely know that these games coming up
means that much more. Uh. And if we're gonna you know, separate ourselves from the path, we need to start putting together someone. Does the team still believe Ryan he's the guy a quarterback? Oh? I mean that's that's never been a question. Um, you know, he's definitely our leader, I think, uh,
you know, he definitely does great things for us. And again it's not any one position or any one person, it's really the collective that has has really caused us to to you know, not uh function at our when when we all are on the same plage and when we all are executing at a high level, I think, and that's when we can really reach the benefits of everybody. But I don't think that's a lay now.
