David, you guys played pretty well as a defense last year's you know, statistically based on all the rankings. What are your expectations for this year? UM, I only need to improve. Um, obviously we didn't us. My goal was

to make a playoffs. So I think as a defense and had a team with thinking we all need to take it one step further and you do a little bit better, David, when you come off a year like that where you almost get a chance to get in and who knows what kind of noise you would have made, and you know at this stage of your career you've

been very close a few times. What is sort of your mindset knowing that you know, even though you know you still have some time left for those years, and those chances are kind of getting fewer and fewer obviously every year. UM, I mean this is the NFL. You can't take anything for granted. UM, you got to try to win every year. UM, there's a last thing as a reboot a year in the NFL, because that each years is valuable and or god myself who's been in

it ten years. Um, these these opportunities may not come around to me sometimes, so I can take advantage off and when you can, David, how much does that does that loss to the Bills at the end of the season still stay with you and some of the other guys. I mean, you think about it here and there, but obviously we did it. We didn't do enough to win

the game and to to reach the playoffs. But you can't use it as as fuel and motivation coming into this year, UM, knowing how poor in every game is and don't you know you hate to be on that side of of the of the loss, David. That's something that that creeps in your mind today, especially just giving that you know the first day you guys are getting back at it a little bit, but there's more about um seeing everybody again and meet the new new guys

in the room. Um, there's a lot of phases this year, so it's a lot of names to be to be should be known and just uh again, you say right again, and it's gonna be back. It's kind of like the war their school. I guess, uh, come up, come up with a long break. UM. I know a lot of guys who have been anxious to get back. Um, I have to take it through and a half months off, so starts a fun time of a year. David, what do you believe or I guess because your partner there

in the middle of the defense. What are you expecting from Aaron Henderson this season in a full time starting role? He went to that position battle I think, I think he has higher expectations than anyone else. Um, he's a guy who has been the starting to leave U for many years and and I started for him to continue

play a high level. Um, he's getting an opportunity to to be started this year, and and I think he's gonna do do it a phenomenal loom job at say next to me, what are your thoughts on on not all opting to not come to the start of the ontary words. I mean everybody else talks Terry more. It's more of the one of the best deers in this league. And we all noticed the business is part of part of the game. And hopefully he'll be here. But you guys, he has to do with the best for him. David

is a strange in that linebacker room right now. He had a lot a lot of turnover in your room this year. Uh, just on the defense on the team period. Um. Uh, Like I said, it's letting to face this, Um, but uh it's the first day. We all just trying to get get to know each other and and uh like it's pretty much like this every year, the turnover, um with the sadder gap in the NFL. It just you get used to it after so many What do you like not having Calvin there? I'm not gonna it's kind

of weird. Um he's been here, uh eight of my nine tees and and uh he was like my big brother. Not to my thing about it, but yeah, a little strange. And I seen him in his room. David. Doesn't concern you that Fitzpatrick hasn't been signed yet? Um, yeah, especially um after the good year you had last year for us. Um. Hopefully, um, they'll be back. And that's all I can say about it. Um, but uh, like I said, hopefully be back.
