Can you talk a little bit about just, you know, the advancement you guys made yesterday with that win and trying to you know, inching a little you know, further into the playoff picture and just kind of the significance of that and where you guys feel you're at right now. No, honestly, just getting to win yesterday. It's not the two games looking street that we was on. It was big for its Honestly, we're not even look at and thinking about
the playoffs, you know. I think that the whole thing is for us to just I'm trying to get to snop the two games the street that we had and trying to get one of the books you know, at home, and that was that was that was our biggest concern. You get a little bit more you stuff for playing against the Giants, even though they're not in your division,
they are in your same city. Um. Now, I mean, I'm I'm getting the juice I'm getting I'm getting ready as any other week, um, playing against the team, But it's the Giant, you know. I don't think there's a reason to get up for a team any any different for any of the week, you know, I think I look at it as there our next opponent, and I
got to get prepared myself. Uh, and we have to prepare our stuff the right way to go out and try to get another win, try to get a two game win, Street going and Tonio, we've talked to you a lot about your performance. When did you feel like yesterday you played better than you had that? Yeah, I mean I felt like if I'm not I've said before, I think the biggest thing, Uh, these pretty past two weeks, I'm having a lot of fun. I'm playing a lot looser, um,
and just wanting to go play football. Um, and then trying to let everything come to me and not let's takes trying to force thanks to come to me. I'm just letting the playofut and go from there. Yesterday after the game, Ryan Tannehill was referring to the Calvin Pryor head and you know you probably read what you say that it was classless because he thought you guys were celebrating that was shard was it was injured? Um? What what is your perception of that? What do you think
that was a fair statement by him? No, I mean, honestly, for me, that's that's all. That's his opinion. I think the biggest thing I think I think we're celebrating uh as as a team and as a unit, just because of what kind of hit it was. It was a big hit. Uh, it's we kind of set the tone early on for the game, and I don't we don't
wish anything. We don't wish any injury on anybody. Uh, you know, it's the game that we play, and uh, you know, bus celebrating it, were just celebrating, you know, the big hit, and that's something in the tone that except for our defense for the rest of the day. Uh, you know what I said, We're not gonna to celebrate
someone's being injured at all. Antonio, you mentioned last month at that point you you kind of you Beckham as a one year wonder, um, considering you know, he had not accomplished the full you know, career's worth of accomplishments. I guess what is your perspective on him now? Do you feel like he's a guy who's proved he's a legit long term player in this league or do you think there's more out there for him to show than
he can kind of stick for longer. No, honestly, list Um, I haven't watched him at all this until probably this week, so I don't know anything that's going on with him. I don't know. Um, that's know nothing, you know, I won't know anything until tonight when I started studying things, and tomorrow on over things. But overall, I mean, I mean I still feel like he's death. Still feel so much wrong for him to go. He's young, He's so young, athletic guy that can go out and make plays and
make unbelievable cutches. Uh, and he's proving that over and over. So I mean, I think the biggest thing is for me, it's not it's not appoint to saying uh, yeah, he does have a lot of room to grow because he's he's so young. He's on man second years, so I mean he's only he only get involved in that offensive me around the guys like the Eli mann is to make him involve more. So, I mean, yes, I mean he's us still has he has a lot of room to to grow to be the guy uh that everyone
knows he can be. Did you mean he is yesterday crust? No? No, I didn't. Honestly, only honestly is the past this whole I started season I haven't even been focused on any other games up on this step we play. Um, I haven't even had a chance to look at anything on him and see what what he has done. So no, I mean, I know I haven't seen the catch at all. Crow in what way? Is just just just the dynamic Giffer with with Darrell out you know in your defensive
backfield there can you talk a bit about that? You know? Honestly, Um, I just think that his play when he brings to the field and when he's what he can uh and what Todd loves loves from this horns do with gout of a playing man and that defense. But honestly, I think the way that Coach Bowls and Coach Ks and those guys called the game, it didn't nothing different, you know.
I think the biggest thing is guys just stepped up and just went out to play football half fun, they actuality, and we have the depth in the secondary room and the trust of each other to go out and go play the game without having Coach Bowls, Coach Dame or anyone else. Coach Kate, so that don't worry about anything falling off, you know, I think that's what it's really
all about you. We have the depth something that we I felt like we haven't had in New York for a while, and we have the depth now to go out into the play football halifun and make the place that we need to go out and meet. Nick Ryan pit Patrick was just telling us that you guys talked a little earlier today. He gave him, got him up to speed on his whole Jet Giants thing. What kind
of thoughts did you share with him? I think the biggest one that it's an away game for us, even though we're at our own stadium, so UM, you know, the tickets are like every other way uh team you know, they're usually in the upper deck, and UM we park in a different parking lot. And I think guys got a good experience of that, UM this preseason since we were away, UM kind of get an idea of what to expect. Nick Ryan said that you talked to him
also about just the passion of the Giant rivalry. UM. Yeah, I mean we talked about the game. Obviously it's different having UM a team in your same hometown. Uh. You know there's UM it's something until you experience it, you know, you don't really understand it. UM and I think it's just it goes into um how um. You know, sharing a city and sharing a stadium is obviously a different experience than let's say, somewhere like Tennessee, UM or Cincinnati,
where you know you're the only team, uh there. Obviously, the last time you guys played them in the regular season it turned out to be a pretty significant game. Is that in the back of your mind this week that that he lost them in two thousand eleven? No, I mean that's so long ago. And shoot, I assume there's only a handful of guys left, um that actually played that game. So, um, you know that's so long ago.
I don't think it has any bearing on this game. Um, this is just the next step uh in our season here. What do you remember about from that game? Shoot, was a long time ago. I remember being cold. Um. Other than that, you know, who's a while ago? If what went so well for for you guys as an offensive line yesterday and Brian in particular in sort of neutral hyping so and and and keeping the pocket plan for
Ryan and opening up things for the playing game. Yeah, you know, Brian played a heck of the game, just as I think Brick had a heck of a game as well. You know, guys were fighting. Um. Brian came in with a great plan going against you know, one of the best defense tackles in the league, and UM, he did a great job for us. And you know, I think we're just clicking. Uh. We had a good week of being able to really zero in on what we wanted to do. UM, and you know, I think
it helped. It's having um, you know, our running backs back there and really hitting the holes helped us out a lot. Nick. We just talked to Ryan and he's clearly you know, happy about having had his his hundredth career start as a guy that's been in the league for a long time. You know, can you are you proud of a guy like like this Patrons with the seventh round pick, to you know, have a career this
long and still be producing. Yeah. You know, I think it just shows his work ethic and the way that he carries as himself. Uh, to be able to be in this league for that long, um, and to be effective. Uh. You know, it's a great testament to the work that he's done. UM. And you know, I'm excited for him, uh, because that's a special milestone to come across as an
NFL player. What was your thoughts at the time and after watching it again of Chris Irey's thirty one yard touchdown room, Um, you know, at first, the first thoughts were, uh, you know that, shoot, how is that even possible? Um? And then seeing again, you know, you see a guy who just had uh determination to you know, to get the job done, and it was exciting to be a part of it, and then it was exciting to watch it again. Nichols was in the obvious impact on the
standings this weekend. Is there something more to Jets Giants? Because the Giants have always been perceived as as the you know, the older, more established, you know, the team in New York? Is there something to that that's Jets trying to you know, get to where they've been. Obviously we're in the same city. Um, so it heads a little bit to it. But again it's just the next game, uh, in our season, uh that you know, we're trying to win,
