So, uh, Jim Trusby, Wall Street Journal, Um So, I guess talk about the challenges and preparing for the Jets. Yeah, they you know, the Jets are versus the team they do a lot with their different blitz packages and different fronts. Um So, I mean there's a lot that you've got to look at. And you know, being the first game, you've got a whole season to watch, and so you see all the different things that that they did last year, You watch the preseason, You try to get as prepared

as you can for the stuff that they do. But I mean they are versatile, They do a lot of different things. Um, up front, end, in the back end. Is it tough because it's the first game to play a team that's a little bit tricky on defense. Yeah, I mean I wouldn't say it's tough. It's just you just got a you got a lot to look at, You've got a lot to prepare for, and um, you

don't know what their personality is gonna be. I think that's if there's gonna be something that's tough about it, that's that's the big thing is, Um you know, you don't know what they're gonna be this year and so you can only you can you only see so much

during the preseason. Um. So, I mean I think that's the biggest thing is you've got a lot that a lot to watch, a lot to prepare for, and you don't know what you're gonna get and and what's your experience in terms of the games you've played against the Jets? Like what what if? What have you seen? Um? Well, when I played against him, it was you know, a different head coach, different coordinator and so um no, uh

it was obviously a little bit different. But you know, they're a really good team up front, They've got guys in the back end that can play really well. They have one of the you know, the top corners with Revis and so, um, you know, he's gotta be prepared for the different stuff that through about you now is that you know with Revus Obviously a few years ago a lot was made of you know, the Revus Island thing.

As a quarterback, do you not go in with the mindset I am going to avoid this side of the field. Unfortunately for we've got you know, a j Green and we um, you know, we we feel like, uh, we gotta trust our guys to win and so, um, you know, it's one of those things you go in obviously depending on certain plays and different reads and different things. But um president, when we we gotta we trust our guys

to win again against you know, whoever's out there. And so how so, how has the Bengals offense looked this so far in preseason? Yeah? We feel confident with what we have. You know, I think that's the um something big for us is, you know, we've got to get into a rhythm and umho, I think we've we've shown that through the preseason. Now it's time to do it when it when it counts. So you know, obviously the last season didn't end so great when you got hurt.

How's that? How's the thumb rehabing all that is? Are you completely undercent? Yeah, I'm I've got no set back from the phone. And um so what what is your what is your expectation for the season. Yeah, we like to have a good year. I think you know everybody's saying that right now, but I think with you know, with a team that we have, we've got high expectations for ourselves. So we expect to play well. And um it starts on Sunday. Um the final thing for me.

I guess, um, you know, you guys are one of the few teams that have made the playoffs five consecutive years, I believe, M. Do you feel sometimes that you guys are a little underrated in that in that respect where you know, people talk about the New England's and the Denver's, but sometimes, you know, don't really talk about the Cincinnatis. I mean, that's one thing that we're not we're not

worried about. I mean for us, it's especially right now, our focuses, you know, the first game of the year, and um, that's all you can worry about is what you're doing right now, and so um, you know we're not We're not worried about any of that other stuff. We're trying to do whatever we can to win this week.
