This week, I offer a tale that weaves together spiritualism, Harry Houdini, and a detective named Rose Mackenberg. As you may remember from a past episode, Houdini wasn’t a fan of spiritualists. He saw them as charlatans who took impressionable and grieving individuals for their money.
