This three-part story tells of one of my earliest encounters with the Night Floaters, malignant beings who can detach their heads from the trunks of their bodies, the heads then being able to fly or float thru the night in order to feed upon the blood, the flesh and the sanity of potential victims...and they don't like it when you steal from them.
