What is it?

1. Interpretation: Giving a Guarantee for someone else’s loan can land you in a pile of garbage. Words may be held against you. Humble yourself and beg to be free of it.
2. Entrepreneurial Application: Don’t sign contracts or get into business with people where you have to carry their weight. Also, make sure the contracts are fair. Every party involved should come from a position of strength so nobody is left holding a bag they can’t handle and you have to cover for them.

Where has it shown up in my life?

1. It hasn’t really. People have guaranteed loans for me and I feel obligated to make sure they’re not left holding the bag. Slipped up once with being a little late on a payment and it felt horrible.

Where do I want it to show up in my life?

1. Help people get to that place of strength so holding loans for people isn’t catastrophic for them.

How can you apply it to your life?

1. Don’t Guarantee loans for people. Let people stand on their own two feet while assisting them to do so.
