Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening everybody. Welcome to today's episode of the Never Peak Project Podcast. I'm your host, Coach Ranger, and in today's episode I'm going to kind of use this as a self -employment update, a little bit of a dumping of ideas, and just kind of going through things that I've been thinking about when it comes to the podcast and the coaching business the last few months. really just kind
of jump into it. If you haven't noticed, I've been a little bit more lax on uploads lately. Still very consistent, still at least doing weekly posts, but I have been having a bit of a harder time finding guests that I want to have on the podcast. I don't think it's for a lack of amazing
people out there. I mean, I do have a list of folks that I have reached out to or kind of have in the chamber, but I think what I want to start doing moving forward is aligning it more so with the lessons learned from my walk across the country. Right now, there are 39 things that I learned
from the walk across the country. I think that a lot of them kind of align with various business and self -development topics, and while I have been talking a lot about business and self -development, I do think that the frame of going through the walk across America lessons learned those metaphors and combining that with The mindset and business topics I'm already talking about I think that that would align my content a lot more And when it comes to guests why I bought that up specifically
is finding guests that can speak on those specific topics Again, I have had fantastic guests on I'm so glad and lucky to have had people I've had on on I just think that It would be more aligning, more specific with the content that I'm posting. I have a couple more guest episodes that I do want to work on getting on the podcast and get on, just because I do personally want
to speak with them. But I think that my goal moving forward is to start doing these solo episodes starting next week based off of the various concepts from my walk across the country, what I learned. and then start aligning guests with those specific topics. And all that is really just to honestly make the most use of my time. As I've mentioned before, there are a few different books that I want to write about my walk across the country.
The very first one is the Walk Across America Journal, where it is basically just a day -by -day update of thoughts, things that happened, or... events from the walk as a whole. That is still a work in progress. I am slowly chipping away at it. It is kind of hard to remember everything and you know come through the notes that I took on those days, the text messages I sent, photos,
pictures, videos. Just really trying to make sure that I flesh it out as much as possible so that it's as unabridged and fantastic as I can make it. Right now in the journal I am about
halfway through Texas. So I only have a little bit left of Texas New Mexico, Arizona and California and I took quite a bit of time off in California as well as Arizona Really hoping that those three ish almost four weeks that I took off Make the writing the rest of the journal a lot easier since some of those days I kind of just vegged out or When I take multiple days off in a row, I've been kind of combining them into just general things that happen since not a ton happened during
that time. The second book that I want to write is more so like a lesson slash self -development slash business development book. I recently read a book by a gentleman named Sean Patel called
Self Made Success. Ivy leads shark tank entrepreneur reveals 48 secret strategies to live happier healthier and wealthier and I really enjoyed it was written in a way that is very easy to read and he separate out these 48 secrets of success into Eight or nine different categories Just based off of you know, universal success mental success productivity marketing academic social entrepreneurship It was just a very easy read and I just really loved the way that he
put it together. I would I kind of want to think about a way of using that style for my book and my content. So something similar to, you know, man walked across country reveals secrets to success. I think that that would be a interesting and unique way to present this information. Where the guests come in specifically is I want them to have some kind of knowledge, expertise, background
in these specific topics. So that when I go to write the book I can say, just like in my conversation with blah blah blah blah blah, this is what this looks like. This is why this happens. So things that I might have noticed on the walk, kind of like the idea of objects in mirror are closer than they appear. One of the last episodes that I did, the idea that pain in the background causes issues in the foreground or kind of subconsciously
controls your life. I would really love to have someone on that can explain a little bit deeper why our past affects our future, how our past makes us to be who we are today, and how we're able to actually let go, change, fix, saunter around, and make those changes so that things that happened in the past are no longer controlling
your future. Just understanding deeper why that happened, because just because I experienced something similar while I was on my walk doesn't mean that I really understand why that is actually
happening. So to just kind of recap this brain dump of Ideas what I'm gonna start doing moving forward with these solo episodes as soon as possible is they will all be based off of these Lessons that I've learned on my walk across the United States Once I get through a couple more guests that I'm excited to have on and I want to talk to personally I'm going to start aligning them a lot more specifically with these topics Hopefully I can double up on some triple up even go a little
bit deeper in a way But I think that it would be very useful for me the time that I have and the attention that the listeners give to focus on this stuff in particular rather than the topics that I have laid out right now, which I think are useful. I still think are great. I think there's more to be done specifically with what I've learned from the walk. The other big thing is in terms of updates for within range coaching.
Alongside my one -to -one life coaching and business consulting through the Renaissance Center, I am adding in pesticide safety training. If you don't know anything about me, that would be kind of coming out of left field, but if you do know, you will know that I grew up in ag and farming. I was an FFA, had my American degree. I went to UC Davis for ag economics, worked in farming and ag for a couple years straight out of school. worked for the County of Stanislaus as an Ag
inspector for a couple years. So Ag and farming and all this has really been something that I have really enjoyed and I'm really excited to be getting a little bit more back into it through coaching and consulting by adding pesticide safety training to that. I did get certified last week
as a pesticide safety instructor. So now in the County of San Mateo, my goal is to add that as a part first as my services through the Renaissance Center, doing a little bit of faux or mock inspections for pesticide safety, records, et cetera, but also just doing training for applicators and field workers. So that's fun and exciting and a thing that I am very much looking forward to doing. And there may even be a spin -off podcast where it will be updated. a few times a month.
I don't want to make any promises right now because this is going to be the main podcast. This is the main one I want to put my time, attention, and money and energy into. but I would like to find a way to promote that other part of the business as well. That about wraps it up for the major updates that I want to post about in regards to the podcast and the business. The other main thing is that I am looking for speaking
opportunities. I am a member of Toastmasters and I've made it to the district level competition where I will be competing with the humorous speech contest this upcoming Saturday. And I would really like to find more ways to talk about my walk across the country, the lessons that I learned. So if you're listening right now and you're in a company that does lunch and learns, monthly meetings, you bring in guest speakers, keynote, etc. I would really appreciate the opportunity
if you could reach out to me. My email and contact information will be down in the description. I can talk about the walk specifically, lessons that I learned, apply all that information to your specific organization, nonprofit club, etc. to make it more tailored and customized to you. So please just let me know. And other than that, Those are the main updates that I have right now. I super appreciate I know this is a little bit of a weird episode I hope that you still
got something out of it. I would really say that the biggest lesson here for me is to not be afraid of changing things up Like staying focused on the mission, but understanding that the road can kind of shift over time I Felt a little bit weird about making a post talking about how I'm gonna be changing a whole bunch of things when something that I preach is being consistent.
But I think that what separates this out from just straight up stopping something is I've been doing a lot of posting, a lot of the podcast, posting consistently, doing the work, putting in the hours. And now I'm just trying to find a way to make it more effective and useful for my brand, for my listeners. And then just kind of differentiate my content from every other 27 year old white guy with a podcast. So thank you so much for your time, attention, and energy.
I super appreciate it. If you could take just a few seconds to leave a review down in the description, I would super appreciate that. That'll help the content out to more people so that we can help more individuals live the best life possible. Thank you as always and remember the best is yet to come as long as you are willing to make the decision to never settle, never quit, and never peak. I'll see you guys in the next one.
