Cut through the noise, ask the real questions and help you stay healthy, strong. Let's go, Nanny Nation. The new era starts now. Remember those things your parents used to say, like don't make that weird face or it'll stay that way. Or don't swim after eating or you'll drown. Yeah, but how many of those are actually true? Let's find out. This is fact or fiction. Sean, it's guessing time. Are you ready? I was born ready. Alright, Shawn, does cracking your knuckles cause arthritis?
Fact or fiction? Uh, fact. Fiction. It's just gas bubbles popping in your joint fluid. Annoying. Yeah. Dangerous? Not so much. Oh, okay, that makes more sense. Up next, you only use 10% of your brain. Fact or fiction? Fiction. Correct. That myth's been around forever. Brain scans show us that we use all of it, just not all at the same time. Next up, carrots improve your vision. Fact or fiction? Fact. It's probably why I don't see a lot of rabbits wearing glasses. Yep, that's right.
Carrots have tons of vitamin A, which helps your eyes and it massively improves your vision. Okay, Shawn, what do you think microwaves kill nutrients in food? Fact or fiction? Fact. I heard that one in school. Fiction. Microwaving is actually one of the best ways to preserve nutrients. And boiling them actually kills them up. But don't be fooled. The radiation from these microwaves can really affect your health. We're going to cover that in another video.
Wait, so I can keep using the microwave and my teachers were wrong? Yeah, they were. And you're safe. But try not to use it too often. Alright, last one. You need at least eight glasses of water every day. Fact or fiction? Fiction. Correct. You do need water, but the amount depends on your body, your activities and your food. It's not like Victor Wembanyama at 73 needs the same amount of water as Simone Biles at 4 8. That's the end of this list. Comment? If you want us to debunk any more myths.
