American Symbolism
Episode description
An episode best represented visually, however we talk about it anyway. With the story a few weeks ago of the school teacher who thought she was smart by punishing a student with the Gadsden Flag because it's racist making the rounds, we thought it'd be fun to pile on. America's history is filled with incredible symbolism that is reflected in many things we continue to use and practice today. However, the meaning of such symbols or even the symbols themselves are being lost to progressive rewriting of history. Join us on this Slice of History as we look at everything from the first flag banned in the Colonies to the Medal of Honor and a lot of things in between. We need to learn the lessons left behind so we don't repeat the mistakes that scar our history.
