Hey, what up? What up? My friends? Welcome to the Daily Drip here on the Growthcast with me, Dallas Pruitt, and like some of you, I've been following up with the Phillies run in the playoffs this year. Yeah. I'm gonna hit it straight outta the gate last. I had the opportunity to watch Harper "Go Yard" in the eighth, and it was...
...wow. Inspirational. So amazing. It's quite the story, really. Last seed, last team to make it into the playoffs and they've ran a hot streak all the way to their first World Series bid since 2009. They are great examples, individually and collectively as a team. Great examples of. Many of the principles we hit on regularly here on the Growthcast.
These playoffs have reminded me of the important lessons sports taught me as a young child and a teenager growing up. I'm grateful for the lessons that I learned then, and that I'm relearning now through their examples. And I'd like to hone in on one of those very important lessons. Today. One of the greatest lessons sports taught me was the importance of learning to fail in public.
If you can't learn to fail in public, it's going to be harder, a much harder, longer road, and dare I say, even impossible road to travel down to growth and betterment, if that is what you are seeking people. Out there, never go to the gym because they are scared of not knowing how to use the equipment when they get there.
Amazing. And gifted writers and other artists alike never share their work because they are afraid of the public's judgment. People never put themselves out there, they never give their hearts and keep those hearts closed off because they're scared of reject., Let's face it. Going public with something you want and care about deeply, it's a difficult thing to do.
It's also a necessary thing to do. Today's reminder, public failure is a necessity. This is one of the many reasons why I am so grateful for my experiences in sports Growing up, sports served as an awesome platform to., so many wonderful lessons about life. One of the most important being if you want to accomplish anything great in life, you must train to face your fears.
Learn to film in public. That is today's invitation, my friends, and once you do raise the stakes as you get better and better. Yeah, it's scary to take your true self and your true passions to the public, but how selfish would it be if you kept them all to yourself? You have gifts for a reason. Aspire to be great and work for more for the right reasons.
And you'll find that failing isn't really all that bad. That same public you fear is the same public yearning for your guidance. Example, motivation and inspiration. Have a great day everybody, and we'll see you guys back here again tomorrow.
