Hey everyone. Good morning and welcome to the Daily Drip here on the Growthcast  with me Dallas Pruitt. A better question, I came across the other day, went something like this. What is your reason for being. Look as humans, meaning is something we strive and sometimes struggle to find in our journey in life.

The Japanese have a word that represents answers to this question of what is your reason for being on today's drip? What I wanted to do is share this Japanese philosophy to a long and happy life, much like Frankel and his work with logo therapy, which is something that we've referenced in the past here on the Daily Drip.

Within the work that I do, e Key guy is an answer to this timeless, better question of what is your reason for being your E key guy is your reason for getting up in the morning. It's your reason for being it's hidden deep inside each of us and finding it isn. Doesn't come at a free price, right? The price has to be paid, and that price looks like patient.

A patient search and ongoing discovery. Your EK guy is found at the heart of all of the following. Listen closely what you love, what you are good at, what you can be paid for, and what the world needs. In shorter, simpler terms. EK Guy is a combination of your passion, your mission, your profession, your vocation.

This type of philosophy isn't one that includes a future destination of retirement, which is something that so many strive for here in Western culture, but rather, It's a search for a lifelong journey of purposeful, happy busyness. It's actually quite interesting. The Japanese language doesn't even include a word for retirement in the sense that we do here in America.

Instead, the life philosophy is to remain active and work at what you enjoy and find real purpose. In life, you could call this the happiness of being busy. Today's invite is to open up your perspective and invite this idea in of EK guy. It's worth noting that the origin of this philosophy is Okinawa, Japan.

This is one of the Blue Zones. People live longer here than most any other place on Earth. Yes, that's due to diet and climate and other factors, but one of the strongest factors. Believed to be their emphasis on this philosophy of E Key. Live a life of doing something purposeful. That's today's invite work to weave the thread between what you love, what you are good at, what you can be paid for, and what the world needs.

The art of doing something worthwhile and doing it with supreme focus and joy. That's what life is all about. If you'd love to learn more and dive deeper into this topic, grab yourself a copy of the book e Key Guide by Hector Garcia and France Morales. It's a great one. All right, everybody. Make it a great day and we'll see you guys back here again tomorrow.
