All right, everybody. Welcome. My name is Dallas Pruitt and this is The Growth Cast. This is the Daily Drip here on the Growthcast.

Look, a modern world equates. Modern problems. So many times we think that by tending to an important task that pops up on our cell phone, via email, and addressing these issues regarding important tasks, actions that we are needing to take on a project or whatever it is to accomplish our goal.

We believe that we. Doing good or making an increase. And although at times that may be true, oftentimes what is happening is we are creating the habit or feeding into a bad habit of not being where our feet. Need to be or where they are. We're living outside of where our feet are. This is an issue, right?

You have priorities. Your business is a priority. Your family is a priority, but two priorities can't live in that same space, meaning your time, attention, and action. . This is tough. This is a tough strategic path to navigate, but what I wanted to do here today is give you some principles to live by what I like to call the principle of disconnect.

To reconnect regularly principles to live by so that you can continue to grow on purpose, with purpose in all aspects of your life. Yes, this includes your business. Yes. This includes life as a whole. So, four of these principles are...Be intentional with technology. Design your environment....spend time in nature and make alternatives easily accessible rather than break all four down.

Today on the Daily Drip, I wanted to home in on one, and that is spend time in nature. I am a nature enthusiast. I love the outdoors. Look. Here's a quote from. Rob Jordan, who is a professor at Stanford University, and what Rob Jordan said was just as urbanization and disconnection from nature have grown dramatically, so have mental disorders such as depression.

In fact, city dwellers have a 20% higher risk of anxiety disorders and a 40% higher risk of mood disorders as compared to people in rural areas. Look, you don't have to get in a car and drive to the nearest national park every day. That's not what today's actionable is. Nature is easily accessible.

Today's actionable is to simply create a system to disconnect, to reconnect every single day. You can head to the nearest park in your community or just escape to your own backyard. This same Stanford study that I just referenced. That I just referenced also stated that walking in nature could lead to a local, can lead to a lower risk of depression, as well as that walking in nature when studied, when these participants were when the data was extracted, it resulted in neurological changes in the brain, specifically a de decrease in the area of the brain active during rumination or repetitive negative thinking.

The benefits are huge to creating a system of disconnecting, to reconnect. So, today's actionable: Whatever you do to get outside every day, do it. Get outside every single day, even if it is for only 15 minutes, my other actionable, leave that phone behind, whether it's a coffee break for a walk around the building, a walk with your dog early in the morning, a strenuous hike to kick the day.

Or simply putting on your walking shoes when you get done at the office and clearing your mind for 30 minutes. Whatever it is, get out and do it. Pictures aren't always needed. The reason you should do it is for your brain, for you, not for the likes. Do it so that you can grow on purpose. With purpose, disconnect to reconnect.

That is today's actionable. All right, everybody, hopefully you're able to grab something of high value today with today's Drip. As always here on the Growthcast.

Have a great day and we'll see you guys back here again tomorrow...
