Una Noche tells the
harrowing and heartbreaking story of three teenagers who attempt the
treacherous 90 mile, shark-infested trek from Cuba to Miami in nothing
but a shoddy raft. Based on a true story, it’s a gritty and gripping
tale about what situations and circumstances can drive a person to do.
Brian was fortunate to speak with the film’s writer and director, Lucy
Mulloy, and you can find the entire interview embedded below. Mulloy
talks about her own time spent in Cuba, the inspiration for the film, as
well as the unique complications that can arise filming in a country
where film unions and regulations aren’t really a “thing.”
Una Noche is currently available on iTunes and will be playing theatrical in Los Angeles beginning September 13th.
