In that movie, Kittridge was a governmental company man who wrongly accused Ethan Hunt of being a mole, and got a fish tank blown up on him for his troubles. In the intervening years, he has risen to become director of the CIA, reappearing to urge his old adversary to “pick a side” in the war that potentially lies ahead. Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One releases exclusively in theatres July 12, 2023 by Paramount Pictures.
