Episode description
Leanne put her money where her mouth is and bought a large 6 acre property in rural North Carolina where she could be away from her misophonia triggers. We talk about all her challenges that finally led her to buy some isolation, we talk a lot about the challenges she has had at work as a nurse. She has had to deal with a surprising amount of pushback, mockery, and gaslighting for her misophonia, sometimes from the most unlikely places. Through it all though Leanne has always taken the high ground (I know many of us would probably have blown a fuse much earlier!) and so I think it’s important to hear how she thinks about the awareness and acceptance void that we face in the world.
