Hey, and welcome back to the Mindset and Growth Project, and today we'll be talking about how to handle stress. Now, people everywhere have... at some point in their life, experience stress. Everyone is going to experience stress in your life. It's a natural thing. It's what makes you human. It's what makes you you. Stress is a natural thing. It's going to happen. And it causes a variety of things in people. For some people it can cause stomach issues. Others it can just be a slight headache.
For some, it's losing sleep at night, and for others, it's self-damaging thoughts. And the thing is, is... Where is this stress coming from? You know? You have to ask yourself, where is this coming from? And, you know, that's when you're going to realize, I know where this is coming from, and I know how to fix that. You know? Like, I'm going to use a own example for my life. I was stressed about school and a big test coming up. But I wasn't really thinking about the test.
Let's think about other points in my life because I was just stressed in general. I wasn't really thinking about why I was stressed. I just was like, oh, I feel like shit. Oh, now look at this part of my life. You know, it's crap. It's not a good... you know, it's not going good. All because I just had this one base, like, this one stressful thing in my life. It caused a whole domino effect of other things.
And you really need to find the source to tackle the situation, you know? You're not gonna stop a leak by putting tape on the wall right next to it. You're gonna stop a leak from the source of where it's coming from, you know? And that's up to you. to find that source. And that's kind of how you're going to handle your stress. You're going to find the source. You're going to identify what can I do to solve this.
What are the steps I'm going to do to carry this out? And then you're going to carry it out. Because just saying you know how to do it, that's half the solution knowing how to do it. Now actually doing it is the other part, you know? So other than that, that's all I have on handling stress. I know this is a short episode, but there'll be more to come. So thank you for listening, and have a wonderful night.
