Reflecting back on situations of the past can help us decide if we want to create similar things in the future or if we want to respond differently in the future. Sometimes we can use reflection as a way to shame our past selves some how believing that we should have handled the situation differently but that is seldom useful as we cannot change the past. But consider reflection from the perspective of informing that future. See what we did in the past and make a decision to practice something different in the future.
