Welcome to the mind school, the classroom for your mind and soul where we design our lives from the inside out. He will find a human first approach to life, business and relationships to create freedom, growth and constant evolution through mindset, emotional intelligence, leadership and connection to self. I'm your host, Breanna Mae, educator, CEO, mindset and business
mentor. And my mission is to teach the things we were never taught at school, so that no dream is left on the pillow and no purpose left unfulfilled. Here, you can expect a lot of laughs and thought provoking conversation as we squeezed every drop of juice from this beautiful, precious, crazy thing called life. This is really big. Actually, this was really big. This is my very first episode as the MindScape podcast completely different to what I've been
doing. For the last three years, it's been three years of having a podcast, which was the MS mindset podcast. And if you're a listener, who has been following me for quite some time, you'll notice today that there is a new title, there is a new name, there is a new intro there is everything is new. And this has been coming for a very, very long time. And I've been working a lot behind the scenes to completely rebrand my business, my podcast, and I'm really, really, really fucking excited.
And it feels like a complete new feels like I've breathed is breathed a word, it feels like there's been a whole new breath of air into my business that I'm so excited about. I'm pumped about where it's going. I'm pumped about everything that's on the agenda. And I'm going to talk about that today. The first thing that you're going to notice, obviously, is the name
change. This is no longer than this mindset podcast and we today are going to talk about why the name change why the rebrand what to expect moving forward and just to really like set the scene for what's to come. So obviously, the first thing is the name change. And the second thing is the fact that I just said Wait, so there is an elephant in the room right now. A blonde sexy chatted up gorgeous elephant. She's already
laughing at me. And I want to joke about that elephant who is man's man does Oh yeah, we're on it's taken. It's taken a lot of laughs to be honest. I've already had so much fun and I have to say like, just the last two hours has confirmed everything that I was wanting and everything that we've been working on. It's confirmed that we've made the right choice because I'm already having the time of my life.
Yep. Tears of tears of laughter is always a good sign tears of laughter I'm having so much we literally I caught myself and you said out loud. How is this even work? And that's, that's how I feel today. And this is I'm so excited. So obviously I want to before we go into like, what's been going on behind the scenes why we're changing what to expect in the podcast moving
forward. I want to introduce to everyone my right hand is that the phrase my right hand, man and man, my right hand will match my main the main page. It's so funny, everyone I had this came up a while ago. I was like, man, so what do we put in your email signature? Because like, I don't know, I hate calling you assistant. I just don't like that word. Yeah. And so I don't want to use the word assistant that doesn't feel right. I hate the word like I hate the word staff. That's just
gross. And I was trying to find the right language and I'm like you just you just my fucking main base my main bit we haven't gone public with it until now till now now it's man's my main beach. So I want to introduce who man's is before we dive into this episode. So from my perspective, my relationship to man's who I also call men does all and that's gonna just hell bent on making that stick. I'm hell bent
on man diesel. I just am because behind this, there's a whole thing there, which we'll get into later. JPJ Yeah, so for now, my relationship demands I want to introduce man's as, I'm not gonna say Assistant, I'm not gonna say VA because there is no
word and and. But how it started how I came across man's was, it feels like Gears ago, it feels like it almost feels like we've had our teens and 20s together because we've lived the same parallel lives and then met a year ago, or literally a year and a half ago, which blows my brain. Yeah. But you were introduced to me through my friend Laura, who at the time
was my VA or OBM. And she was moving on to other things and was like, Look, you could advertise but I already know who you need in your business and she was like, it's just your vibe she's just that's all Laura said to me. She's just your vibe just please trust me on this you too are gonna be like, just just trust me and all that okay, I
didn't interview anyone. I didn't have any other I didn't put it out there to the world we had one interview on Zoom and I was just like yes it cool start like whenever school holidays finish your time. That was a year, nearly a year and a half ago. Yeah. And our relationship has evolved not only inside the business like you started out doing a few hours and increased very quickly and then increased again, you were doing a bit of
admin stuff. And then I discovered pretty quickly that you're actually a bit of a creative and a bit of a fucking who, mainly, mainly, and I was like, this is actually on Chapter gold. Our WhatsApp conversations is gold, I think. So I was like, actually really creative. And I love our conversations. And there was all this stuff happening for me personally behind the scenes where I was starting to feel disconnected and like I needed
to realign myself. And so all of this stuff has been happening behind the scenes as our friendship has also evolved. And yeah, over the last year and a half, we've just become the dynamic duo behind my business and I love it. Yeah, it's been fun. And it does feel like we've known each other for the longest time and yeah, it's been one year and four
months it's not it's crazy. And I think of how you know involved you are in everything that Lola does and just it's really been a special special time and show time so Okay, let's get besides the business stuff so besides your role inside of the mind school PTI Ltd, is that how you say PGY Ltd? Yeah, so by the way, guys, so you're gonna notice the mind school is actually what this podcast is now named, but it's also the name of my company so my company is actually has always been
called the mind school. It's just that most people know me as MS mindset up till now. And so outside of your role inside of the mind school, tell tell listeners a little bit you just obviously mentioned Lola, so it's more like your catalogue. Yeah, it's my cat. It was the Yeah. There we go. Anywhere off we are, or no lollies. My daughter. Yeah, I'm a mom of one beautiful, beautiful girl. She's just turned seven. She is a hoot. I mean, talk about a hoot. She's hilarious. very sassy.
very sure of herself. Which I just absolutely love. But yeah, very empathetic, super sensitive. Yeah, so I'm her mom. I'm a photographer. Um, you've just said, I'm not a VA. But I I. That's how I started, right. It's how we met. Yeah, it's the type of work that I had been doing for a couple of years. When we met. My background is corporate admin, which is how I know Laura. So I'd worked with Laura for years. And that's how she knew 10 years I reckon I worked with Laura. And we always
got on so well. You know, even in the corporate space, we're sort of working alongside each other in that executive support. And yeah, she she joined us together and just matchmade in the stars. It's just been a fucking blast. I agree. Yeah, I agree. So this feels really fun. It feels really exciting to finally be doing it after you very casually broached it with me in a you know, I think it was a voice and you're like, can I just, you know, I, it'll be so
good. If we could, like, do this on the poor, like, what do you think? Why don't you just kind of want to be a co host. And I didn't really know what to think of it was so off the cuff. And it's obviously developed, you know, properly. But yeah, it feels it feels really fun. And it feels really exciting. And yeah, it doesn't feel like work, which is no, it never feels like work. It never feels like work. And I did
say off the cast. But then as I thought about it, I was like actually, and like I was sort of sort of saying like things were starting to feel a little bit flat for me. So there was a lot going on behind the scenes. And every time we'd have a conversation and laugh and like, I felt like my personality would come out more when whenever we
were together. I was like, actually, seriously, will you come on as my co host and there's been a lot going on behind the scenes but here we are, and there's going to be there's going to be lots of exciting and fun new segments to the MindScape podcast there's a lot of cool stuff happening which I'm really excited to bring you along with for the ride well I'm very excited to be coming along for the ride but I'm gonna switch it up a little bit and turn it over okay, it's
my first episode and I'm taking the reins love but I know that people are going to be listening to these and they want to know what's been happening why what's triggered this so why don't you give us a rundown on why the mind school and why the brain rebrand in the brain. brand to bring French oh my god, we were having a pre brand. I love that I'm gonna use, why the BRI brand and why the mine School tell us tell the people?
Well, I feel like there was there was a few things in a row that happened where I was like, Okay, I feel like, I mean, behind the scenes, personally, professionally, all the things, I've grown a lot. And I'd say particularly in the last six months, I've been working a lot on my internal world. And really like at the start of 20, the start of this year, I set an intention to really grow in terms of leadership grow in terms of boundaries grow, grow, in terms of who I really want to
become. And I started looking a lot into like the big vision plan. And then, you know, there was a few little things were like, so I got married in February. And a few people started saying to me, like, you can't be Miss mindset anymore. Haha. Like, you're not a miss anymore. And it was just so interesting that I was like, Yeah, that was starting to come up people were saying things like, are you still going to be Miss mindset? And then I started
to question it all. Because I was looking at the Miss mindset brand and feeling a little bit of EQ. I was just feeling a little bit a little bit off it like, I was looking at the colours, and I was looking at the branding. And I was like, it feels like it's so representative. And this is where it was like a pretty it was a big decision. But it was also a really obvious decision were like, I was looking at it. And I was so it felt so
nostalgic. And I feel so connected to the Miss mindset brand, because it is so reflective of where I was when I started. And I was a fresh, fresh to business, I was a teacher and I still very much identify as an educator. And the Miss is so like, it's a part of my story. And it's a part of my heart, I still have students that message me all the time they miss, like, Miss I am just called Miss to so many people.
But to be honest, it's been so many years since I've been called Miss in the classroom space. And so I was like, Oh, it's just this next evolution. And it started to feel right. And then as like I said, I started to really sit with like, where am I going and I had a few amazing conversations with a particularly someone I interviewed for this podcast, who listeners will hear from next week, I had some really cool conversations with you and
with different people. Everyone was coming into my life and like I was noticing I was getting really like lit up with particular things and particular conversations. And I started to think, Alright, where am I going? Like, where am I going? Where am I evolving to? How do I want my vision to look for the next few years. And there was again all like the universe is
talking to you. It's like I finished the level up retreat to level up retreats we've done now because we man's is at the retreats with me man's as the photographer, so put, you know, level up as know you very well. Yeah, that's true. And every time I get home from a level up retreat, I'm like, Ah, I just love the in person stuff I love
in person. And I always had this vision of building a school like I was like, one day I want to have like this personal development school, like I want to teach about emotional intelligence. And I want to keep that part of me that's always the educator and the learner. But I want to, I just had to
come back to my roots. I'm like, I love being in a room with people and teaching and I love connecting with people and I want to build a school and I want to build this personal development, company and brand where people can come and connect and be in a classroom hugging one another and I can have that whole, like graduation process and take people through a journey and watch them grow and evolve. And I love my
business how it is. But I could see that there was so many pieces that needed to come back in that I had sort of forgotten about, I guess. Yeah. So I started to just sit with that. And yeah, it made me really reconnect with my values. And you know, like, my values is always connection and fun. And I found I was like sitting at home going to record a podcast and you'd be like, hey, bitch, like, yeah, we need a podcast for next
week. And I was like, oh, shit nomination, it was like, okay, but I'm just sitting at home, like, I'm just sitting at home talking to myself, which sometimes I get really fired up and I've got something that I really want to say. But I love people and I love humour and I love some subnets someone to bounce off and just all of this stuff. So when I sat with my values again, in my business, I was like, I love connection. I love fun. How can I bring this back? And that's when I was
like, I need a co host. I actually need to be sitting in a room with someone. And lo and behold me Yeah, and I think that's so such a good point. So much of the content that I like to consume podcast wise Yeah. is listening to Have people converse and just bounce off each other? Nothing scripted. Just shoot the shit. Yeah. And it just Yeah, it's fun to listen to, especially when it's a good dynamic. Yeah, analysis, we had a Larry Ray dynamic. You know if I do say so myself.
That's awesome. So I suppose for the way forward then for the podcast, like what can people expect? Because obviously there's, you know, it's different. So what does that mean moving forward for the pod? There's a lot. So, first of all, a bit of, well, next week as you as you know, next week's guest is like an indicator of the standard and the kinds of humans that I'm just obsessed with the conversations I love having. So I feel like new guests, which is going to be really exciting.
Next week's episode is probably one of my favourites that I've ever had big easter egg. Oh, so forgettable. Yeah. So new guests. Obviously, like, it's, I find it I don't know, if I find it really enjoyable to watch somebody personally evolve and grow. And I feel like I'm bringing a lot more of that on to like, this whole rebrand isn't, is a representation of my
evolution. And there's going to be a lot more of that just might what's going on, for me behind the scenes, a lot more of that personal stuff with the solo episodes. But also, there's a whole new segment coming, which for me, this new segment, which I'm going to actually get you to
talk about in a second. But this new segment is where I get to bring back like, so there's two pieces to this, I see myself and my brand evolving to a place where it is like an authority in the space of emotional intelligence, of personal development, and all the things that I love. And so there's that real, I guess not I want to use the word serious, but there is that piece to it, where I'm up levelling the brand. And the duality, which is me as a human have also, I just want to have a
bit of fucking fun. And I want to bring that back in as well, because I felt like that's what I was missing. So that's where the new segment recess is coming on. And I'm so fucking excited about it. Because I feel like recess this new segment in this podcast in this show, is going to be where I just get to really be me and be fun and bring you and us it's just going to be so much fun. So there's a new segment coming onto the show called recess. And man's tell tell the listeners like what is
our intention for recess? Well, it's to take a break, right needs to take a step back. Think of the feeling you would have when you're at school, you're sitting in a lesson that you're not vibing. And you know that recess is coming, you get to go, you get to find your friends in your spa. Yeah, hang out. Talk about anything other than what the fuck you've been doing in class. Yeah. And that's the whole vibe
for for this segment. We just want people to submit questions once a month to start, right. People submit questions about literally anything, nothing is off the table. No topic is too crazy. No, too personal. We want to we want it all. Yeah, we're going to, we're going to answer the questions. We're going to give unsolicited advice on qualified non qualified, no, it's going to be solicited, but it's going to be qualified. That's right. Yeah. And it's just we want it to be fun. Yeah.
Questions, topics as well, eventually, we'll get to different topics. If people are curious about something, or, you know, they want to our opinion on something that they're going through in their life, you know, we want to feel like were those friends in the school yard that you're, you know, desperate to go and find when the bell rings to break all the shit down? And yeah,
and have fun doing it. And I think like, it's, it feels like a lot more of a collaborative, like for the listeners to like, what, you know, just anything that comes up, we want to be in it with you guys. Because like the listeners of why we're like, you know, obviously I'd probably do this without listeners, it's
so much. To be honest. But it's like this is the part where you can be like, actually, I'm having a bit of, you know, maybe you don't have access right now to have a course or to join any, you know, to have access to or you just want some advice and you're like, it's actually I find it really helpful to get advice from someone who doesn't know you isn't already quite subjective and has an opinion and it's projecting like we can you can just submit anonymously,
and that's what that's for. But also if you just want to be fucking nosy, like if you just want to be nosy, and you want to ask us questions, about business, about life about absolutely anything. That's the place for sure. That sort of reset is what recess is all about. Yeah, it's going to be a lot of fun, and I'm very much looking forward to it. And you did touch on it there. But, you know, people do have the opportunity to remain anonymous. Yeah, nothing's going to be He
put on blast publicly. So yeah, we want people to feel comfortable to come to us with everything, anything in their safe space, safe space will have a safe space. So I'm going to ask you just quickly because you're I don't know the answer to this. What's the process? What's the administrative process? How do people submit questions? So basically, what we're going to be doing is using the question questions box on your stories once a month, cool, we'll be
popping it up there. People can submit their questions that way, we'll also be sending an email out to your mailing list. So if you're not on the mailing list, and you're not following on socials, please do one or either or both. Yeah. And then I'll collate the questions. Yeah, that's it. We'll put a call out every month. And hopefully, if you guys love it, then we'll do it a little bit more often. But we'll start it at once a month for now. And yeah, so make it
really juicy, juicy. Bring the day when that question box gets up there, or we want all of it. To know, we want to want to know like, there's nothing off the top off the tables so far. Is that all we need to touch on today? I feel like we've no, there is one other thing that we need to mention. And I only know because I've just had a quick glance down at the little guys, because actually what you're going to know real quickly, actually, I need man's
in my life. Actually, I forgot to submit my own marriage paperwork recently. Actually, I saw please tell us about that. Because that easily. I have to admit, I have a confession to make. I was working on something on the computer and I had been logged into your Facebook because I was starting something with it. And I could see the chat box between you and Paul. But I I could only see his reaction to whatever it was you were saying it kept popping up and he was like, of course yeah,
I was. I got so curious. I had to go in and have a look. I had to what did you think he was pretty calm and collected? Hey, what's the last What's that? I'm sure he was you know, he not surprised at all. But please, can you explain how that actually happened? Because I was losing it laughing So apparently, it's actually not a big deal. It's okay, so I'm not I don't know how this works. My my wedding celebrants actually fucking legend, I love her so much. And everything's
fine. In terms of like, everything's been submitted, were legally married. But technically, I don't I don't really understand it. You've got to, so the celebrant does their part and like, submits everything. And then I have to go and submit something in order to legally change my name. Right. But I haven't changed my name. Because I haven't changed my name yet. Yeah, because we're gonna go overseas soon. And I might make me fucked with the
paperwork. So I don't know. I was just at the office with the girls. And I'm like, No, you're not until you actually go and do your half and I was like, well, things were married. But then I spoke to my celebrant, and she was like, No, you are like, I've done what you need. It's just when you're ready to change your name. I see. So when I messaged Paul as a hey, I don't think we're legally I don't think we're married. Hey, and he's here to explain. Fucking hell,
like, please. And I was like, oh, let's do another wedding. But yeah, so that's all that was hilarious. Yeah. No, there was one other thing we needed to talk about. And that is their competition. Oh, yeah. Oh, fuck, that's a big one. So. So this is actually the biggest competition I've ever done, ever. And it's a bit of a celebration. It's a bit of like, just excitement over this whole new thing. And we want to bring
you along for it. So what we're asking is that if you can submit a review, if you've already done one, submit another one. That's absolutely fine. Just gold, go for gold, submit a review of the mine school podcast, and then send a screenshot to us show us that you've done it and you are going to go in the drawer to win free entry into any of my courses. Like any you can do level up, you can do True Confidence. You can do money mindset, you can do teach, you
can do whatever you want. You're just going to have your selection from any of the courses and I'm really fucking pumped about that. So good. Such a good calm actually, I will just make a suggestion. When you're entering take a screenshot of your review and share it to your stories and tag Bree in your stories which is going to be a new tag isn't that crazy? So don't look for Miss mindset. Don't look because she won't be there. She did. She goes on she goes have a look. And it will be at I am
Brianna May. And so we'll put all of that in the show notes. But please tag me. And we're going to have a tag for man's to use very soon coming. It's coming. We're getting there. She's been busy doing all this podcast producing stuff. Lady golf. She's very busy. So that's going to be how it's gonna roll from now on. I'm really fucking excited like, this feels. Yeah, like a whole new fresh breath for me and I'm so excited about where it's going. I'm so excited
to have you here. And I really love To know what the listeners think. Yeah, I'm a little bit scared to hear what the listeners think but I need to hear it. Yeah guys, can we give some Mandy's awesome love because man Jesus like what if they hate it and I want man it's not here for me that's fine. Let's give man dudes awesome love guys, you can tag both well actually at the moment
you can just tag me. Yeah. But put your love for Mandy's all because we love her and we want to give her all the positive reinforcement. So she comes back because I don't want to do it alone anymore. This is fun. It feels really fun. And I'm super stoked to be here. I was really grateful that you asked me and just grateful to be in your world as always. And yeah, this this is really exciting. All right, well, I'll see you at recess. See you
