Hi, welcome back to another episode, quick life update before I get into today's episode, so obviously, if you've listened to the last few weeks and months, you know that it's been a very, I was thinking about it yesterday I was like is 2023 already, like, turning out to be the best year of my life. And I don't want to call it because I always say like, the better it

gets, the better it gets. But like, and I've had so many good years, I'm always so hesitant to be like, that was the best day of my life, or that was the best year of my life. Because then I really reflected on my actually, there's just been so much good stuff. But what a year, it has been actually what the last 12 months, the last 12 months cycling around Europe, coming home, getting married, like, just Yeah, business is really good life is feeling really,

really sweet. But equally as transformational as all these big things is that I have given up coffee, ladies and gentlemen, after one false like, false start, I started, I tried to give up coffee. When we got back from Europe, because we were like far out like, every morning, we would want to get up have a coffee, either, like make one in our little campsite with our, because we took a jet boil with us on the back of our bikes. And so it was either wake up and have a coffee or go for a

ride. And God forbid we don't find one for a few 100k. He's very few Ks. And it was just we'd started to talk about how much time it was taking from our day and how much like it was almost controlling us, which we did not like so we got home from Europe. And yeah, Paul gave up coffee, like almost cold turkey, which is so ironic because when we met I didn't even drink coffee. I'd never drank coffee. And then you know, I became a teacher and I needed a bit of caffeine to get me through the

days. And I ended up being a finding it way harder to give it up than Paul did. I'm saying it like it's this massive big bad addiction. And that's not the case at all. So me personally just got a few health things going on. And there's a few underlying reasons why I've given me the choice. But yeah, a false start. And now I'm I've made it through I made it through what felt like the slump, and I'm on the other side, and it feels really bloody

good. And I feel like a new woman and I feel like some it's something worth celebrating. Because until you try to give it up. You don't realise like the first three days. I was so I had to do it on the weekend because I was just like, oh my god, I just want to be on the couch. I was so grumpy. And I had a headache. And I was like, What is this? This is not me this is it was it was really alarming, to be honest. So that's my life update, I gave up coffee. And I just feel like I've all the

accomplishments. I've you know, cycled across the continent. And I've gotten up like fucking huge, scary volcanoes and, you know, built a business that I'm really proud of. But this week, I'm really, really proud of myself for giving up coffee. So

there you go. And sort of on that note, or on that same sort of tone, I guess today's episode, so I want to talk about this because it seems so simple, it seems like what I'm talking about is gonna seem like so simple, but I feel like it's the most missed or like it's the low hanging fruit that people might actually just completely disregard because of how simple it is. And that is like we're every single time I know that I'm about to really up level

either. Like for example, this year coming back from our honeymoon, I was like it is go time and I've said that at New Year's This is a big year for my business on like a business. Like on a business and personal level. I was, like I said there was getting married. And we've got quite a lot of trips and lots of holidays. But we've also got lots going on in my business. Heaps going on behind the scenes, so many different projects, like lots of exciting

things happening. And so I knew coming back from our honeymoon, that it was like right hit the ground running in the best possible way. Because to me, I wouldn't do anything else. Like this is my dream and I love it. But also I have to be really, really like when I'm expanding my capacity, whether that's expanding my capacity to hold more clients or to have more courses on the go or to put out more content or to receive more money if I'm expanding my capacity. What that means is I

need to look at my energy. And every single time I come back to the basics, that's all it takes is for me to really reset and come back to the basics and look at it sounds ridiculous right? But it is my exercise routine.

And it is my morning habits. It sounds so silly but for me to be able to expand my capacity and to give more and not just to give more but to be the best version of myself while I'm doing it so that I can rock up to my clients calls and be so excited to be there and have energy and be creating courses and really getting into you know my study zones and then birthing new courses and being the and I don't want to you know, let any of my relations hips go to the wayside, I want to be present, I

want to spend time with my family, I want to be, I want extraordinary relationships I want to be and I want an extraordinary marriage. And that also requires putting in some time and effort, and being the best version of myself and trying to always make sure that my energy management is the very first thing that I've

prioritise. And so because energy management is always really my number one thing, what I do when I'm going through a reset, or when I just really, really want to hone in and I'm going through that season of growth is that I really get super disciplined with my exercise regime, and with my

morning routine. And I want to talk about why like, it sounds so simple, but even when I think about it from a really like scoped out holistic lens, when I first began, I guess you would say, like a personal development journey, or, you know, I've always been this way, but it was never conscious. So I was always, you know, loving to set goals, I loved setting goals and going for new

things. But before I became quite conscious of this whole world, and personal development, and self growth and mindset, and all of that, my introduction to this world was actually through fitness, I was obsessed, like fitness was the first way that I began to see. And of course, like, it probably started from a place of like, I want to lose weight, I want to feel fit, I want to have a six pack, like it probably started from those really external. Like it started with reasons that were external.

And over the years, the shift that happened became that it actually was nothing to do with the external results and everything to do with what I noticed internally. When I prioritise the my my health and my energy management through my diet, my sleep and my exercise, I noticed the internal shifts change everything for me. And that's not rocket science. Like we all know, this, we really do.

But it's just that reminder, even to myself, God, I had the reminder, after our honeymoon, we spent just a week like making our way back to back home, doing a bit of like lounging by a pool bit of time at the beach, this and that. And you know, we've just gotten married, so everyone's given us bottles of champagne, we've got Molly, and we're having cheese platters and food that we wouldn't

necessarily always eat. And it only took about four or five days for both of us, my husband and I to be like, Yeah, nah, Yeah, nah, like, I can do it for a couple days. And it's great. And it's enjoyable. And there's no problem with that, like, at all. But then we start to notice what it does to our energy levels, what it does to our motivation, what it does to you start to feel like you don't want to do as much or for me, I started to feel like quite

sluggish. And I start to feel like, just not myself, just not myself. And so when we came back from our little staycation slash honeymoon, we got back and we were like, actually, you know what, big reset right back to what I always prioritise. And this has been a consistent for me, for as long as I can remember, I actually, I cannot remember a time in the last 4789 years where I just didn't exercise like it's who I am. And the reason is because of the

internal shifts I notice. And those internal shifts of making me feel like my best self of making me feel like I've already one of making me feel like I can do hard things of making me feel like I'm the kind of person who has discipline. I'm the kind of person who says I'm going to do something and does it. I'm the kind of person who gets a little bit better at something every single week. I'm the kind of person who sets a goal and then does it. I'm the kind of person

who is organised. I'm the kind of person who prioritises health, because all of that is an internal shift. It pays dividends in every area of my life. And so, you know, you've probably heard the quote, a million times how you do anything is how you do everything that has always always like that my anchor, I always anchor into that real energy and statement and quote when I'm in the gym, and I can tell, you know, and you know, I always use discernment, it's

about discernment. If I genuinely am actually wrecked, and tired, I'm not going to push myself and you know, make myself injured or sick. But if I know and I check with myself, and like Brianna, you're being lazy, you're actually taking the easy road here. How you do anything is how you do everything. That's when it's like no, put the weights up, run the extra sprint like you can do it you need to stop giving yourself this free pass because how you do anything

is how you do everything. And so, using my exercise has always been that anchor for me of like helping me to feel like I'm on top of my shit. And it does for me personally and I've spoken about this on another episode about morning routines. I would never prescribe a morning routine because everybody has a different scenario everybody has different situation for me

personally. And what I would say is, you know, just common sense really doing it first thing in the morning pays so many benefits for the rest of the day because it anchors in this energy of like, there is honestly like, there is no better feeling than when you get up and it's still dark outside. I don't know, if I'm alone in this, it's still dark outside, like this morning, I was up at like quarter to five, possibly

even before. And while it was still dark, I had sorted out the most important emails that were in my inbox, I had taken some action that is really moving the needle forward inside of my business. I had gone and done an epic leg session where I really actually challenged myself, I swear, it felt really difficult. I didn't want to put the weights up for the last round. But I did. And by the time I like everybody else's waking up, I feel like I've already won the

day and it hasn't started. So it's like there's so many little rate like there's so many reasons that for me prioritising exercise, and really just centering back to the bare basics is actually the superpower for productivity and for any energy management. Because you never walk away from a gym session or from any exercise session. I'm not saying everybody should do do gym, but like you never walk away from an exercise moment, feeling like I

wish I didn't do that. Now I feel worse, like it doesn't happen and the internal shifts that happen touch every element of your life. Like, there is nothing better for me than when I know I've had a sweaty session. My day is one and then I get to go have a shower, get ready to see my clients and my energy is so high. Because the thing about like, I feel like we've got it twisted, like people, a lot of people say like I don't have any energy and it's like, well, human, we're human beings,

we actually generate energy. We are energy generators, like what are you doing to generate energy? Are you doing heaps of things that drain your lifeforce energy, have a look at those things and then ask yourself what actually gives me in generates energy. For me exercise is literally always the go to and whenever I need to reset, like when we got home, when we got home from our little mini moon, because we're still

deciding where to go. We're still literally we're watching so many YouTube clips last night, like where should we go for our honeymoon, we just cannot decide. So up in the air. Because every time we look, we're like nothing's gonna beat our cycling trip. So we're probably just gonna cycle again, because we just love cycling across across countries, it's the best. So anyway, we got back from our little mini moon. And for us, it was like right back onto our like, for me at the

moment. Again, this is just me personally, and it's for different health reasons. I won't go into that maybe for another episode. But for me personally, and everyone is different. So use this for

whatever works for you. It was like right back on to my active eating meals, which is gluten free, which is dairy free, getting rid of caffeine for other reasons, and making sure that we're in bed at the same time every night so that we can get up at the same time in the morning, get to the gym, prioritise our health, prioritise our fitness, because that just resets me. And it anchors me into like the feeling I want for the day and for this

season of life. And I cannot tell you how helpful it is, from an internal confidence point of view. Like, obviously, there's so many reasons that this is and I'm not saying everybody should be a gym junkie and everybody should do gluten free, dairy free, this should be a diet, that is not the message here. The message here is if you really want to do a bit of a reset if you're feeling like things are a bit funky, if you're feeling like your energy

is a bit low. If you're feeling a bit unmotivated, if you're feeling these internal like this, and internal dialogue that sometimes sounds like I always say I'm going to do something and I never do it, or I don't have the energy or I can't be bothered or whatever, if you're just in a bit of a funk or in a bit of a you know, just a moment for me. And what I would encourage you to do is to go back to the bare basics, like it

really is that simple. If you want energy, which also will help you with productivity helps you to show up as the best version of yourself. Go back to the low hanging fruit Slack. So many of us are like, Oh, what's the secret sauce? Because you know, marketing these days makes us think that there's some secret magic pill. There's not there is actually not it's so simple. It really is like it could be reduced down to words that five and six year olds

could understand. prioritise your sleep, it's really important to sleep that's really important for our emotional regulation that's really important for our stress response. That's really important for our learning and for our consolidation. It's really important for so many things and nutrition is so important for the same reasons for our gut health for our energy and hormone balance for everything we want to come back to the bare basics, go to the

low hanging fruits. And those things are, are you getting enough sleep like are you actually and that requires you to look at your nighttime routine. Like, I just can't say it enough, like the simple things are really the things that create the big shifts, the big, big, big, big shifts, and it really helps on so many levels for your energy for your productivity. And for that internal identity shift of I'm the kind of person who does this

last why I love the gym. Like Like I said, I can tell when I'm slacking off, and I can then make a decision. And it's in that moment when I don't want to do things. It's in that moment when I don't feel like going. It's in that moment when I can tell that I'm taking the easy road that I've got a choice to make. It's like Breanna, who do you want to be in this moment? It's Who do you want to be in this moment? Because these little things are actually the things that creates huge change.

And it just it really does. Like I have so many clients who can say things like, you know, they'll say I'm struggling to get things done. I'm feeling overwhelmed. I feel and I always look at the low hanging fruits. Are you getting enough sleep?

How's your nutrition seriously, like, are you on a sugar crash so sugar high are you like, is like I said in the beginning that like for me caffeine was controlling me and taking up actually quite a lot of my time like, because I'd sit and have my coffee or I got pull and I

would go out. When Paul and I first met God I used to I didn't like I said I didn't drink coffee was like how many hours of the day you lose into going out for a coffee like not to say again, this is not a message that you should give up coffee. But it's just, there's so many little ways that we can actually clean up our productivity, and

my superpower. And the thing that actually is what has helped me so much to create quite a lot of things and to have so many different things on the go and to build a company and to have a team and to have a podcast and multiple courses and clients and an amazing group of friends. And to have it to feel like I get to have it all. It requires me to prioritise my energy. It's that simple. Like there's only so

much energy I have to give. And so for me to, excuse me, for me to really prioritise my energy management so that I can generate energy and show up as my best self, I go back to the simple things. And for me, going back to a morning ritual where exercise is the first thing and like I've spoken about on this podcast, a few episodes back, I have my non negotiables no matter what season of life it is, no matter what I'm making my bed, I'm drinking three litres of water a day and I'm going to

the gym. And when I want to reset I really looking into those things like really has anything slipped that I need to tidy up what needs to be tidied up for me to feel like I've got all the energy to give and that I'm actually showing up as the best version of myself so that I can now expand my capacity. So that's a really quick and Zippy one today, but it was literally on my mind as I was walking home from the gym, I was like God, I feel good, like, feels so good.

I feel like I've won the day, it's only eight o'clock, I've been so productive. And I feel like I've got all the energy left to go. And I just would love it to be that suit. And it's you know, like I understand it's not that simple for everyone. People have got different things on their plate, but find a way that you can make

it work for you. It will pay so many dividends, there's no magic pill, there's no magic potion, there's just doing the things that you know you can do but often avoid, that are so simple. Go back to the simple things and see how it impacts your life. I would love to know, and give it give it like do it with consistency. Everything is about consistency. And that's why I love you know, the gym is just something that is it's not something that goes or exercise is not something that goes,

consistency is the key. But give yourself like while you're forming the habit and creating a new habit. And it's not yet part of your automatic day. It's not part of your automatic identity. It's not part of your automatic habit. Give yourself grace, of course, give yourself grace as this, if this is new, if this is something that you're like shit, I need to really do this, I actually do need to stop effing around and just do it. Give

yourself grace. But seriously, consider giving yourself at least 30 days before you make any calls about I'm not doing it. It's not working Lala law. Give yourself grace. Give yourself time consistency over a long period of time is what matters. It's not, you know, the individual day, it's the majority of your days. How do you show up on the majority of

your days. Prioritise those simple things and I promise you your productivity, your energy and the way you show up in the world will be so so so improved. So that's a quick Zippy one for me today. Just a quick reminder before I go that we start True Confidence literally this week. In fact, if you're listening today, the day that is aired on a Wednesday, we start tomorrow and you still have a little bit of time to join True Confidence.

And there's actually quite a lot of you know, we're touching on things like what are your actual patterns? Where is your self sabotage at? How are you putting on the brakes? Because true confidence is something that is really about who you are when you say that when you say you want to be something, but who are you in the bad moments? Who are you? What's your patterns? Like? What's your cognitive and emotional patterns? Like? Where's your blind spots? Where are you out of integrity in your

life? How do you you know, we're building on skill sets that are in the daily habits, but we're also building on skill sets in potent communication so you can show up in your life as a leader, and you can impact and influence you can hold loving boundaries, like a fucking boss without feeling guilt. And like I said, all of these little bits, they, they really are the part that makes the biggest

difference. So if you're listening, and this sounds like something you want to do, I cannot recommend this course enough. Honestly, it feels like it is my new baby. You've heard me talk about level up so many times, but this is going to be the new signature course I can feel it, because I'm so fucking excited to teach it. And because it's the first time I am teaching it, it's not going this is an introductory price. And it's not going to be this

investment again. Next time it will go up probably by double. So if you're feeling the itch, we've got multiple payment plans and all these different ways that you can join DME. If you have any questions, I would love to answer them. But have a great week and I will see you here next week. Bye
