[SPEAKER_01]: We have today. [SPEAKER_06]: It's the Michael Marasho with Michael Maras. [SPEAKER_06]: And Rob Spiewack.
[SPEAKER_06]: Now here's Mike. [SPEAKER_02]: I heard something at the beginning. [SPEAKER_02]: What was viewer discretion advised? [SPEAKER_02]: It got chopped off. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: Mike here it is one more time. [SPEAKER_02]: Now I can't hear it then. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, hold on because it's on the same paper as the wonderfully produced opening and then it just immediately slides back into what we really are. [SPEAKER_02]: That's so much fun in the morning.
[SPEAKER_02]: What what what what happened? [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, because Go ahead. [SPEAKER_07]: That was because of how Rob drops out and brings back and normally I hit him to bring him back into live and I did not. [SPEAKER_07]: That was on me. [SPEAKER_07]: Okay. [SPEAKER_08]: I know you really hope that was program may contain mature subject matter viewer discretion is advised. [SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I sound creepy or what?
[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like if I don't hear it, I lose my rhythm a little bit. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh well then let's take it from the top. [SPEAKER_08]: The following program may contain mature subject matter. [SPEAKER_08]: Viewer discretion is advised. [SPEAKER_08]: Make sure that's true. [SPEAKER_08]: That's true. [SPEAKER_06]: That's true. [SPEAKER_06]: That's true. [SPEAKER_06]: Make sure that's true. [SPEAKER_06]: Make sure that's true. [SPEAKER_09]: Make sure that's true.
[SPEAKER_09]: Make sure that's true. [SPEAKER_09]: Make sure that's true. [SPEAKER_09]: Make sure that's true. [SPEAKER_03]: Make sure that's true. [SPEAKER_06]: It's the Michael Mery Show with Michael Mery and Rob Spiewack. [SPEAKER_06]: Now here's Mike. [SPEAKER_02]: Hi. [SPEAKER_07]: You got your cruise back? [SPEAKER_02]: No, I just want you to get together and figure it out. [SPEAKER_02]: So when I come in here, we'll be good to go. [SPEAKER_02]: That's that would be appreciated.
[SPEAKER_02]: That would be appreciated. [SPEAKER_07]: We'll do it just like last week. [SPEAKER_07]: You know, it's like, how do we do it last week? [SPEAKER_07]: I'm telling you, during the countdown, Rob leaves that's where he doesn't click. [SPEAKER_07]: Then he comes back and I just have to press the Add the Studio button. [SPEAKER_07]: And instead, I was loading some photos and I missed the Add the Studio button. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, all right.
[SPEAKER_02]: I just, you know, I mean, I only, you know, you asked like you're frustrated with me.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just kind of like figuring out what's going on and I love that opening and that you put together with the graphics that go along with the music and by the way, here is a tease for this week.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't narrow down the day that it's going to happen, right? [SPEAKER_02]: But based on baseball intros and a particular baseball intro that is played continuously down here in little [SPEAKER_02]: that I really, really hope that requires a little more time on my part to narrow it down. [SPEAKER_02]: Is it like a walk-up song? [SPEAKER_02]: No, I mean, well, isn't what we do about a walk-up song really when you think about that. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm just curious.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm just curious. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I know. [SPEAKER_07]: Up here. [SPEAKER_07]: The popular song with the kids is an artist named Forest Frank. [SPEAKER_02]: Which is a give me a gist of what because there's one down here that I hear he's got all the time He's got a lemonade song. [SPEAKER_07]: He's got like a Like a jump song.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll give you it's like a happy positive like hip hop I will give you the the because I think the one that I hear all the time is an oldy Okay, I will give you I can probably give you the sound Because it's a it's a it's a horn of some kind of like a trumpet right and what I hear is
[SPEAKER_02]: And then Carlos said you should do a thing with that and I said yeah, and I said now if I give it away then people are going to do it people don't touch that don't do it Please you can't touch this I can't and he's back on TV by the way [SPEAKER_02]: How you know, thank God, right? [SPEAKER_09]: I mean that you notice how things went to crap when he was away. [SPEAKER_02]: Somebody said great clients had fun Monday already. [SPEAKER_02]: I can't help it. [SPEAKER_02]: God damn it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I just wanted to start the right way. [SPEAKER_02]: That's all, but that is it really Timmy Trump it. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I think it is really he's the guy that does some of like the walk-up songs for like uh there's a closer I think in New York that uses him and stuff. [SPEAKER_07]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: All right. [SPEAKER_09]: All right. [SPEAKER_09]: So like it's actually Timothy Trumpet is given. [SPEAKER_02]: Have you ever heard of to me Trump?
[SPEAKER_09]: I have not, but you've intrigued me. [SPEAKER_07]: Well his proper name would be Timothy Smith. [SPEAKER_07]: But Timothy Smith is way better in name. [SPEAKER_02]: But that's not it. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a variation on that, and as soon as I heard it, I said this is great. [SPEAKER_02]: Isn't this great? [SPEAKER_02]: So, now over the weekend, the guys go kind of crazy. [SPEAKER_02]: It's like, they're free of this.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't pay a lot of attention to social during the week, but occasionally I will pop it on. [SPEAKER_02]: And I noticed that there was something, I guess Josh has done in the past. [SPEAKER_02]: that he's doing now. [SPEAKER_02]: And I suddenly said, this is this it, Josh. [SPEAKER_09]: No, no, no, no. [SPEAKER_09]: That's to me Trump. [SPEAKER_09]: It's biggest hit. [SPEAKER_07]: By the way, um, getting back to the, the, the whole, that's in a great one.
[SPEAKER_07]: Like monitors are socials. [SPEAKER_07]: I love it. [SPEAKER_07]: It makes you feel like 1984. [SPEAKER_02]: This is, uh, it's something I monitor your socials. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just something you [SPEAKER_02]: This is something I would really, I liked the price point. [SPEAKER_02]: I liked the style, and it was poker, and I didn't realize that Josh ran a poker game. [SPEAKER_02]: So illegal, and illegal? [SPEAKER_07]: Riverboats, we're poker, yes.
[SPEAKER_07]: So don't have any pandemic in the lockdowns and everything. [SPEAKER_07]: Everyone was stuck in their house. [SPEAKER_07]: So me and somebody started playing poker online. [SPEAKER_07]: and there's an app on your phone that makes it really easy to play with friends. [SPEAKER_07]: Let's go. [SPEAKER_07]: We would just then use PayPal and Venmo and everyone tossed 20 bucks in and then do a poker tournament for that night and winner gets it all. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
[SPEAKER_07]: So it's a lot of work so you wouldn't get the pot you would just get. [SPEAKER_07]: Throw the winner. [SPEAKER_07]: Winner gets everything at the end. [SPEAKER_02]: So, and, and you based that on winning hands is that how it's done. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, everyone gets the same number of chips to start, okay. [SPEAKER_02]: And then whoever has the most chips. [SPEAKER_07]: Like a world series of poker. [SPEAKER_07]: They play until you knock someone out or you split the pot.
[SPEAKER_07]: So it's like the blackjack tournament we did on the boat. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, but it's poker except now you see I saw and I was I was all in but I have never played hold them proper and I know there's like finesse in ways to do it. [SPEAKER_09]: It's like a weird deal. [SPEAKER_09]: I think it's actually easier than regular poker I just don't want to look stupid.
[SPEAKER_02]: You have lemma you know you've got the the dealer is and by the way, is that a robot dealer that we use do we get a robot dealer? [SPEAKER_07]: No, it's just a [SPEAKER_02]: That's even better, so you get your two cards, and then on the flop, there's three cards come out, and then the [SPEAKER_02]: then there's a fourth and then one down. [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's a name for it. [SPEAKER_02]: What's the uh, the river river? [SPEAKER_02]: Well, the river is the last card.
[SPEAKER_07]: The river is the last one. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, so you get a total of no the terms. [SPEAKER_07]: I just play. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, then I guess you have you run the poker game. [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I guess I won't. [SPEAKER_07]: I go into the app. [SPEAKER_07]: I say start tournament. [SPEAKER_07]: Here's our set points. [SPEAKER_07]: Here's the link that I send it out to everyone who paid. [SPEAKER_02]: I am so all in.
[SPEAKER_02]: When are you thinking about doing the first one? [SPEAKER_07]: I mean we could do it any time. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm I'm what I love about it. [SPEAKER_07]: Mike is hoping you would say 9 a.m He's we don't It's just an apple. [SPEAKER_07]: It's just an apple in your phone. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, so many times I've played like you know while watching TV or And you can play we don't have to play with buddies. [SPEAKER_07]: You can play with anybody, right?
[SPEAKER_07]: You can play with anyone So I would download the app poker. [SPEAKER_07]: It's got like four R's Fine if you just search poker. [SPEAKER_07]: That would be it's okay. [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know the [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, poker. [SPEAKER_07]: My love when you play, you're cat woman. [SPEAKER_07]: I can play free games in there to get a handle of the app. [SPEAKER_07]: And then we can play, well, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_07]: We can do it like a Friday night or Saturday night or something. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: Be fun. [SPEAKER_02]: I'd love to do that. [SPEAKER_02]: That would be a, I just got intrigued by that. [SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, it's just did something cool to do it. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: During the pandemic, I had probably a year straight where every Saturday night there were 10 of us on this app plan. [SPEAKER_07]: That's a nice pot.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that's that's that's that's that's you win more than you lost probably not Okay, that's no the flop the turn in the river. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you 1439 and by the way more and more people coming to visit us on the YouTube chat group and we welcome you we welcome you we welcome you [SPEAKER_02]: Fantastic. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for sharing your comments. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a big part of the show now The video channel.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just go to YouTube and type in Michael Marin. [SPEAKER_09]: You'll get us and we we'd love to have you If you want to remember the rules, Mike, it's the same process of me going tubing in the river.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's flop turn river Yes, and then at the end of the day a horrible sunburn Yeah, horrible sunburn and also leaches [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, leaches just like they had well now see you and I would get that joke, but then nobody else would I was going to say leaches like the African Queen. [SPEAKER_09]: I'll make Josh watch it on here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Would you agree that as far as leaches go rob even as old a movie is that is that is a [SPEAKER_09]: because he wasn't you know what he can draw a sort of a line although it's a comedic line from that to Indiana Jones and snakes because it's the only thing that scares boggard in the whole movie and it's something organic. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, I think we should we make that movie. [SPEAKER_09]: I'll play the Robert Morley part. [SPEAKER_09]: The crazy the crazy preacher.
[SPEAKER_02]: Robert Morley was not a sea captain. [SPEAKER_02]: He was a preacher that was, uh, yeah, I believe in Africa. [SPEAKER_09]: Why he might have been like brothers with Katherine Hepburn in the movie. [SPEAKER_09]: She was a associate. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: So she's she originates at this, uh, missionary outpost. [SPEAKER_09]: She has a missionary position.
[SPEAKER_02]: And if you're not tracking with us right now, it is truly, if you were to take a film history course, this would probably be required, feeling one of the great movies directed by John Houston of all time. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's in color Josh and it is in color and it's, you know, the thing about [SPEAKER_02]: that was great about movies like the African Queen up. [SPEAKER_02]: I can do a Hicks Nick's for a second here. [SPEAKER_09]: And you're always welcome to come on.
[SPEAKER_09]: If we did African Queen, would you panel with us? [SPEAKER_02]: A hundred percent. [SPEAKER_02]: A hundred percent. [SPEAKER_02]: We'd be an excuse for me to go back and watch it again. [SPEAKER_02]: Here it is.
[SPEAKER_02]: This was long shots and like the boat, up going up the river from a decent horrible dated, just, it looks like you're just taking a look at a toy floating on the river, but when you would see the, you know, the back lot stuff and you would see the acting, it was just, the acting was great.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think if you were to look at it again, you would find the effects which were mostly practical and I think they did some location shooting I'd have to I'd have to research they did do location shooting, but a lot of the real, you know, in the weed stuff was was that studio, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
[SPEAKER_07]: Well, he still photos look like they shot it on the jungle crews at Disney World. [SPEAKER_07]: Let's get it. [SPEAKER_07]: No, dear. [SPEAKER_07]: There's no picture specific that stands out. [SPEAKER_07]: Just very close up. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's take a look. [SPEAKER_02]: But the people might in my jog some memories in some of our 25-year-olds. [SPEAKER_02]: No, it won't. [SPEAKER_02]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: But John Houston was a big one for going on location and putting his injuries.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's probably the end also mother of Angelica Houston. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: He was an apple. [SPEAKER_02]: John Houston was an apple. [SPEAKER_09]: Yes, father was Walter Houston. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: What are the biggest stars of the thirties and forties? [SPEAKER_09]: He directed him in Sierra Madre. [SPEAKER_02]: Just click on any of those to see a large version of There we go.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: Well, not really, but um, and that really is a Katherine Hepburn at her most vulnerable. [SPEAKER_02]: It's so gross. [SPEAKER_07]: So the offer you're a queen was the vote. [SPEAKER_07]: Not an A to the first. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, the A to the point. [SPEAKER_07]: What you thought we were talking about little Richard? [SPEAKER_07]: No, it's a vote. [SPEAKER_07]: Talk about a queen in Africa. [SPEAKER_02]: So racist, what you just said, that is so good.
[SPEAKER_02]: I just, just a joke. [SPEAKER_02]: So check it out. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how we got talking about the, the African Queen. [SPEAKER_09]: Leaches, leaches, how? [SPEAKER_09]: It's someone brought up leaches and stand by me. [SPEAKER_02]: Also great. [SPEAKER_02]: Leaches. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, I hate the leaches. [SPEAKER_02]: So I thought that maybe that was a side hustle for Josh, because he's always doing side hustles. [SPEAKER_02]: Is I think everybody in that good?
[SPEAKER_02]: everybody is you know looking for different things and then so you intrigued me and moved to the front of the food chain today when you mentioned a new business that you and your wife are we did starting because everybody's looking for side us we did have a lot of looking for side hustles and we got we allowed to guess sure can we guess what it is is it have anything to do with massage no no I can't do [SPEAKER_07]: Um, no. [SPEAKER_07]: Jim, jams and jellies.
[SPEAKER_07]: Nope, I'll really try that. [SPEAKER_02]: Not working. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Let me see. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, maybe it's you. [SPEAKER_02]: It's your wife. [SPEAKER_02]: It's something that's that's related to assisting people with Disney. [SPEAKER_02]: It is. [SPEAKER_09]: It's a good guess. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_09]: Is it like something to do with prayer? [SPEAKER_09]: Where you cash in on the Bible?
[SPEAKER_09]: it is not like the right just gemstones or something exactly yeah then I give up is oh wait is it something to do with electronics because you're very handy with that uh it has to do with the internet [SPEAKER_07]: Okay. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, of course. [SPEAKER_07]: So, in this standing. [SPEAKER_07]: So, Kelly and I did a bunch of research and Kelly used to own boutique store, so I'll close it. [SPEAKER_07]: So, we've been doing a lot of research on one side business to go.
[SPEAKER_07]: Clothing. [SPEAKER_07]: Close. [SPEAKER_07]: Come on. [UNKNOWN]: Come on. [SPEAKER_07]: Come on. [SPEAKER_07]: If you're talking to your business, just try it. [SPEAKER_07]: No, no, just try it. [SPEAKER_02]: Just try it. [SPEAKER_02]: Just close. [SPEAKER_02]: Clothing. [SPEAKER_07]: Clothing. [SPEAKER_07]: Come on. [SPEAKER_07]: How about this? [SPEAKER_07]: Is that what you want? [SPEAKER_07]: We're at the G-clothes.
[SPEAKER_10]: This is my favorite part of the show right there. [SPEAKER_09]: Clothing gear. [SPEAKER_09]: What about if you have a close, okay? [SPEAKER_09]: A mystical thing called a close. [SPEAKER_09]: And you wanted to describe it as a close thing. [SPEAKER_02]: We're done. [SPEAKER_02]: We're done doing it. [SPEAKER_02]: He can't. [SPEAKER_02]: He can't improve upon that. [SPEAKER_02]: What he just did. [SPEAKER_02]: I suppose you're right. [SPEAKER_02]: I suppose you're right.
[SPEAKER_02]: You want to live by, right? [SPEAKER_02]: Don't think you need to finish it. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, it was right there. [SPEAKER_02]: It worked really, really well, you don't, you don't need to one up it. [SPEAKER_02]: That's a rule. [SPEAKER_02]: My thumb. [SPEAKER_02]: It was a tiny one-up like your father got rest his soul used to say the quiet game sometimes right right really good by the way I'm writing his eulogy and that comes up [SPEAKER_09]: The quiet game.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes, it does. [SPEAKER_07]: It's lovely. [SPEAKER_07]: That is. [SPEAKER_07]: That is lovely. [SPEAKER_07]: That is lovely. [SPEAKER_07]: That is lovely. [SPEAKER_07]: That is lovely. [SPEAKER_07]: That is lovely. [SPEAKER_07]: That is lovely. [SPEAKER_07]: That is lovely. [SPEAKER_07]: That is lovely.
[SPEAKER_07]: That is lovely. [SPEAKER_07]: That is lovely. [SPEAKER_07]: That is lovely. [SPEAKER_07]: That is lovely. [SPEAKER_07]: Um, is that cheaper than regular goodwill? [SPEAKER_07]: It is because you have to go and you have to take through these bins. [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, so it's not pre-organized.
[SPEAKER_07]: No, it is everything, like it sits in goodwill for a few weeks and then they remove it from goodwill and it goes to these bins. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, so this is not pre-inwill. [SPEAKER_07]: This is the cast off. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, this is the cast off. [SPEAKER_07]: Anyway, you choose to see this. [SPEAKER_07]: Stick through them. [SPEAKER_07]: Yes. [SPEAKER_07]: You dig through them and you've got to fill up your cart. [SPEAKER_07]: And then when it's free, no, you pay by the pound.
[SPEAKER_07]: You pay for the pay, they paid in the cafeteria. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, you pay extra, like a salad bar. [SPEAKER_07]: So what Kelly and I did is we went here and we dug through the bins and you look for, you know, brand names or clothes that are in really nice condition that we think we can flip. [SPEAKER_07]: And we got, we spent $200. [SPEAKER_07]: We made actually two trips to the store. [SPEAKER_07]: It's been a total of $200 on the two trips.
[SPEAKER_09]: How many pounds of clothes is that? [SPEAKER_07]: $300, I don't know, a hundred pounds, two dollars a pound. [SPEAKER_07]: We put it on mine, three shopping carts, and we got a hundred and forty pieces of clothing. [SPEAKER_07]: Okay, and we put them all online last night. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_07]: And it's been 12 hours since I listed the first thing online, we've already made $60. [SPEAKER_07]: Like profit, total. [SPEAKER_07]: Like we already invested 20.
[SPEAKER_07]: Now we've got 60 profit. [SPEAKER_07]: So we're 140 negative at the moment. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, so you're talking up. [SPEAKER_02]: We're talking up. [SPEAKER_02]: And you think there's potential for this, then? [SPEAKER_07]: I, yeah, it looks like there's a lot of potential. [SPEAKER_07]: Isn't there like, is it pop? [SPEAKER_09]: Pop. [SPEAKER_09]: That does that. [SPEAKER_09]: I'm trying to think there is a big service.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, Ron, I put it all on poshmark and dpop and e-s. Oh, that's so cool. [SPEAKER_07]: And if you look online, there's people who are quitting their day jobs because they're making six-figure doing this. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, please don't quit. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not. [SPEAKER_02]: Is that a dig? [SPEAKER_02]: You think from, I am always John who says, so goodwill is for people who can't afford to shop at retail stores, right? [SPEAKER_02]: That's a set of all buster, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: That is a buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster buster b
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, like so what does that mean though? [SPEAKER_07]: What does he mean by people don't value their time that I'm wasting my time from money not if it turns into a six-figure side hustle [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: I've invested. [SPEAKER_07]: All right. [SPEAKER_07]: I told Kelly. [SPEAKER_07]: I said, watch, I'll bring this to show because Michael being intrigued because it's a money-making thing.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: But all the people in the, all the listeners are going to hate on it, because it's what they do. [SPEAKER_02]: So you're right. [SPEAKER_02]: See, that's where Josh is super savvy. [SPEAKER_02]: He knows he anticipates that kind of stuff. [SPEAKER_07]: I bought what 150 pieces of clothing for like a dollar 25 of piece. [SPEAKER_07]: I've sold three pieces of clothing so far and made $60. [SPEAKER_07]: Okay, and what about the shipping?
[SPEAKER_09]: How do you handle it? [SPEAKER_07]: The shipping is extra. [SPEAKER_07]: The shipping pays the shipping as well. [SPEAKER_07]: Good. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay, and clothes are easy to ship because you can put them in the envelopes. [SPEAKER_07]: And here's the deal. [SPEAKER_07]: It's taken advantage of millennials. [SPEAKER_07]: Because millennials are very much in the vintage stuff now. [SPEAKER_07]: They're very much into like, they don't want to waste and buy new clothes.
[SPEAKER_07]: Part of it makes me feel bad for us to decide when I see the amount of wasted clothes. [SPEAKER_02]: I love people in the economy and what we're all dealing with right now. [SPEAKER_02]: Do you know how much I love stuff like this? [SPEAKER_02]: I really, I always find it fascinating, I really do. [SPEAKER_07]: Total invested maybe with driving there, chopping, coming back, putting it all online, maybe eight hours invested so far.
[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, all right, and fun, kind of, right, and the beauty of this kind of hustle, because, you know, I love to resell stuff, too, is that once you've listed it, it's listed, right, you don't have to be listing it exactly, so I mean, every moment you put in is a good invested moment. [SPEAKER_09]: And I've got, you know, it's funny, this is going to inspire me. [SPEAKER_09]: I've got to get back on Facebook Marketplace. [SPEAKER_09]: I've got a lot of junk to get rid of.
[SPEAKER_09]: And it's like free money. [SPEAKER_03]: It's great. [SPEAKER_07]: Well, I figured with the math. [SPEAKER_07]: I wish you would hold your breath. [SPEAKER_07]: I picked up 151 times. [SPEAKER_07]: It'll take you nine pieces of clothing. [SPEAKER_07]: That's why I ever robbed to make the money back. [SPEAKER_07]: And then the rest is profit. [SPEAKER_07]: You're such a jerk. [SPEAKER_09]: Why are you doing this? [SPEAKER_09]: What? [SPEAKER_09]: Just telling fun.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_09]: I can't help it. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm glad you are. [SPEAKER_09]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_09]: No, no, no. [SPEAKER_09]: I've done Facebook Marketplace before and it's, you know, I had a busy couple of months. [SPEAKER_09]: Well, you see, but Facebook Marketplace is great because you can make the rules. [SPEAKER_09]: Because there's no shipping because you make them come to your house, you meet them in your driveway.
[SPEAKER_09]: You don't let them in and you say, cash, cash only. [SPEAKER_02]: And they'll say people came to play today, and I'm just enjoying my I'm enjoying this This is I am I'm enjoying my own show. [SPEAKER_02]: That's he go to school, but I'm just saying you're watching people do this Beats me Rob Rob's comment today was a I think I'll think about maybe thinking about doing that again That's not what I said.
[SPEAKER_09]: I said he inspired me to do it again [SPEAKER_02]: I've always thought with your love of retail and grocery stores and the thing that you would be more of an active person online because you like stuff and you like you like horse trading and you love drifting and I would think you would be dying in. [SPEAKER_09]: All I'm saying is caveat-empture. [SPEAKER_09]: Let the buyer be aware of what it is. [SPEAKER_09]: It's not a grift if they want the deal.
[SPEAKER_09]: If they agree to the deal, it's solid as a rock. [SPEAKER_09]: It's not like putting a price tag on a mirror over the crack, which I've seen my uncle do. [SPEAKER_09]: That's grifting. [SPEAKER_09]: But if you're honest, it's just, you know, moving merchandise from place to place. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's what we all do. [SPEAKER_02]: I think then.
[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, the price points you're talking about are offering people something that might be really nice that they wouldn't be able to afford, you know, real time. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: So I think. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: And I'm a competitive person. [SPEAKER_07]: So I like the competition with Kelly on who finds the stuff that makes the most money. [SPEAKER_09]: It's bad if your brother Matthew tried to buy anything. [SPEAKER_09]: Not yet.
[SPEAKER_02]: At the end of the day, is there anything that really, because you're talking about the stuff that stays at the good will that they can't move? [SPEAKER_02]: And then they call, what's it called? [SPEAKER_02]: Goodwill outlet? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Goodwill outlets. [SPEAKER_02]: And then you're talking about going through the bins.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, as far as the was there any particular fine that you got that was like really special anything you wanted to keep No, because it's not my size or anything but I'm sure there are no weird size we found some neat stuff and what I do is Take a picture of it AI scans it tells me everything about it rights the list inform me so that way and it tells me what price it should be part it should be priced at [SPEAKER_07]: And I have it all set to like, I want to flip it fast.
[SPEAKER_07]: So right now, I've sold two pieces of clothing, Kelly has sold one. [SPEAKER_07]: What clothing pieces have you sold? [SPEAKER_09]: I sold a, are you the comments, Rob? [SPEAKER_09]: Well, I'm not. [SPEAKER_09]: That's funny. [SPEAKER_10]: That's the stolen film crusher make you Rob. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, there's enough to buy a pistol. [SPEAKER_09]: Did you sell them? [SPEAKER_09]: No. [SPEAKER_09]: I did not. [SPEAKER_10]: Oh, you took it down.
[SPEAKER_07]: He made it back to Miami. [SPEAKER_02]: I did a list nurse. [SPEAKER_02]: He had it, did you really? [SPEAKER_07]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, he's not even stopping. [SPEAKER_02]: Come on, be honest. [SPEAKER_09]: You're gonna fight the world. [SPEAKER_09]: I think I threw it away.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I think it because I don't I don't think I have it on those the shelf any more No, I think I thought it was a big hospital go ahead and sell it You're like the kid who the cops showing up so he's throwing all his drugs out the window Get rid of that Like what it's like everybody on this show we could all use every little bit that we little bit [SPEAKER_02]: That's the reality that I don't have any problem living in that reality.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I love, that's why I love it when people are doing different stuff. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm fascinated by the show's up on my feet all the time with all these different people. [SPEAKER_02]: Now I'm on some kind of algorithm that's giving me stock recommendations, which is a grift. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and if you start today with $20, is that the one?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah [SPEAKER_07]: Go ahead and keep you updated, but I'll tell you right now.
[SPEAKER_07]: I sold a, I sold a Nike teen Brazil soccer uniform jersey that I bought for a dollar 25. [SPEAKER_07]: Why would that, I think that would go for, let's come on. [SPEAKER_07]: Why sold it, I sold it for $22, and plus they paid shipping after the fees to the market place, I made $17 off of that. [SPEAKER_07]: And they're not bad. [SPEAKER_02]: That's exciting. [SPEAKER_07]: That's really, really exciting. [SPEAKER_07]: This morning, so the Santa Claus T-shirt, and I made $14 profit.
[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, oh, oh. [SPEAKER_07]: And there, it was the classic Coca-Cola Santa, so I said, oh, someone's going to want this. [SPEAKER_07]: And this decent stuff. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: And it's 12, I'm, I had this stuff online for 12 hours. [SPEAKER_07]: Okay. [SPEAKER_07]: Very good. [SPEAKER_09]: And when you get it at the, when you get it at the outlet, is it laundered? [SPEAKER_09]: Uh, like you can, I mean, as a queen, can you just pretty much go from there?
[SPEAKER_02]: If that's coming from good. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, they would have to right don't they, long. [SPEAKER_07]: I was think, yeah, I don't think so. [SPEAKER_07]: We make sure that we laundry it as soon as it comes in the house. [SPEAKER_07]: Londer it. [SPEAKER_07]: Not laundry it. [SPEAKER_07]: Londer it. [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, it's not whatever. [SPEAKER_07]: It's your speaking proper English. [SPEAKER_07]: There's what I'll laundry it.
[SPEAKER_07]: It goes straight into the machine with hot water. [SPEAKER_07]: When it comes in. [SPEAKER_02]: And so if you before you put it up for sale, you have to what it was. [SPEAKER_07]: I don't think he's feeling better up at fun. [SPEAKER_09]: Did you see anything in the outlet that you picked up that just made you shake your head? [SPEAKER_09]: And also are you only doing clothes? [SPEAKER_07]: So far only clothes. [SPEAKER_07]: I look at the others.
[SPEAKER_07]: I've looked at shoes twice I found some nice shoes, but I could only find one side. [SPEAKER_07]: Like, just a like, chill. [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, really? [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: Hi. [SPEAKER_09]: My name is Hoppy, and I have a question about your business. [SPEAKER_07]: Um, no, I see they've got furniture missing for, like, five bucks. [SPEAKER_07]: Okay, designs, and so AI writes the list and for selling clothing. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_10]: Oh, it's a fun Monday.
[SPEAKER_07]: Thoughts. [SPEAKER_07]: It is a fun day. [SPEAKER_07]: I feel good about this one's going to work out really well. [SPEAKER_09]: What's your pick to click right now? [SPEAKER_09]: I'm all this stuff you've listed. [SPEAKER_09]: What's your favorite item that's still available? [SPEAKER_07]: Um, I don't have a favorite. [SPEAKER_07]: I don't have a favorite. [SPEAKER_07]: I don't with one shoe. [SPEAKER_07]: There's a lot of stuff. [SPEAKER_07]: Any hats?
[SPEAKER_07]: I did not touch. [SPEAKER_07]: I did not go into the hats. [SPEAKER_07]: Let me ask this question. [SPEAKER_07]: What was crazy is what? [SPEAKER_07]: There's so there's it's all like 20 year old. [SPEAKER_07]: There's doing it. [SPEAKER_07]: It is so many people doing the same thing.
[SPEAKER_09]: Julia's everyone's got different things they're looking for so there's no fighting over the clothes when Julia goes on a road trip When she's in an area, she's not familiar with she will designate her stops like someone might designate a stop at Bucky's She'll designate a stop at a thrift store because she loves it and all of her friends love it It's big in the artistic community and Richmond has a great artistic community so I mean Julia will come up She came up the other day and she was wearing a hoodie
[SPEAKER_09]: that had the logo for the Mel Brooks Broadway show the producers on it was nice black hoodie that you know you must have gone out of your mind that's your favorite musical and so it's a it was that the merch stand I remember when we went it was like seventy five dollars I said how much did you get that for she says like three dollars I mean I'd pay three dollars for any hoodie so the deals are out there that is cool I now can you do the same thing with the regular goodwill
[SPEAKER_07]: and just maybe with the less of a markup, you pay more at the beginning. [SPEAKER_07]: So, okay, for now we're starting with the bins, and we'll see where it goes. [SPEAKER_02]: And where is the goodwill outlet located? [SPEAKER_02]: Is it next to the regular goodwill or is it in the bulk of the regular goodwill store? [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know, it's its own goodwill store in Jackson. [SPEAKER_09]: The one I know, the famous one is on Rodeo Drive. [SPEAKER_02]: In Los Angeles.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, now you say you make a joke, but I would tell you that when you're talking down here. [SPEAKER_02]: The big thing down here is consignment stores where they take the throw away from the richie ridges and I sell it for practically the same amount of money. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, which is a thrift store. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, that's what my meaning lady did. [SPEAKER_07]: I do research. [SPEAKER_07]: Apparently a collar. [SPEAKER_07]: A collar, a flutter.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, a collar has a great outlet. [SPEAKER_07]: Where you get a lot of nice stuff there. [SPEAKER_07]: It seems like if you go in the richer counties, you get nicer stuff. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, sure. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, congratulations on your job. [SPEAKER_02]: That's really cool. [SPEAKER_02]: I wish you nothing but the success. [SPEAKER_02]: Can I ask you a technical question?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, my light, right, my one light that I, uh, you know, you know how I kind of look ghostly today a little bit just a little bit like I'm kind of fluorescent. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, so this light that I thought was could put is now just looking at me and it's flashing off off off off. [SPEAKER_02]: off. [SPEAKER_02]: Does that mean that little battery pack that I use on this light has to charge up? [SPEAKER_02]: Is that what it is? [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I have that.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was not plugged in properly. [SPEAKER_09]: Are you getting light? [SPEAKER_09]: No, from it. [SPEAKER_09]: No, he's saying just off. [SPEAKER_02]: But it's only flashing in. [SPEAKER_02]: I can't turn it on. [SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm saying. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I would check the connection. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Hold on. [SPEAKER_02]: You're both talking to the same. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm asking you go ahead.
[SPEAKER_07]: It would be connection or it could be a bad bulb. [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_07]: Call the guy that started. [SPEAKER_07]: Okay. [SPEAKER_07]: All right. [SPEAKER_07]: All right. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm not sure, but it's thanks to these soccer shirts. [SPEAKER_10]: If you have soccer, you know, it smells like ribs but you're gross. [SPEAKER_03]: It's like baby back ribs. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, okay.
[SPEAKER_07]: Many times those big complicated lights you have, it might be easier just to replace it. [SPEAKER_07]: This is not an expensive one. [SPEAKER_02]: This didn't come from that guy to the ring light. [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's not even a ring light. [SPEAKER_02]: I think I stole this from my bride and it's not super expensive, but it's also not crap. [SPEAKER_02]: So I just, I'm, I'm kidding.
[SPEAKER_09]: Do you think there's, there would be interest in that light on the secondary market? [SPEAKER_09]: No, I don't think I'm going to connect with you. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think in terms of, you know, retail in a, because this studio that I broadcast from is somewhat of a, has been in the past somewhat of a warehousey little thing. [SPEAKER_02]: And I've got, I have got an absolute S ton, not really, maybe 30, maybe 20.
[SPEAKER_02]: of the don't get happy hats that we are going to have a sale and the summer hats is they're coming up that I call them the beach hats. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're going to have a big a big sale on those coming up. [SPEAKER_02]: So be aware of that. [SPEAKER_02]: That'll be happening. [SPEAKER_09]: And I love the the hand made hats that I really got to go to the store because we have new merch with our new look as well. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: It's going to be a lot of fun.
[SPEAKER_07]: You mentioned the poker app earlier. [SPEAKER_07]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we make that a cocktail hour, maybe we hop on here and place love to I will do that I want to do that sooner than later I love that I've got a how about we do it a week from not this weekend, but the following week and we do Yeah, I want to do it that this weekend's mother's day so that we can after [SPEAKER_02]: Let's do the weekend after Mother's Day that would be, and we'll put it together.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll put it together and have a poker party that'll be really, how many, and we all have to wear hats. [SPEAKER_07]: He maxed like a thousand people or something because we can, it divides you up into tables of like eight people and then you whittle down. [SPEAKER_02]: So he's like a real world series of poke. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I love that. [SPEAKER_09]: I want to do one of the of my Mike. [SPEAKER_09]: Do you want to be at my table.
[SPEAKER_09]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: I knew because you get you mess up. [SPEAKER_02]: When we played poker back in the day, I, Robin, I've done everything together. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, everything only fans porn. [SPEAKER_02]: You've done, but when we played poker back in the day, Rob would bring his little family rules that we're confusing, and we got on him about it because it was something like, they're not that confused.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not that game, there's a variation on hold, and it's called a blow the hippo. [SPEAKER_02]: And you come in and do it that. [SPEAKER_02]: What was one of the games that you, [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we had one. [SPEAKER_09]: There was five card butch. [SPEAKER_09]: There was, well, then there's classics. [SPEAKER_02]: Like Chicago, four doctor books, five card butch was just exactly per or baseball. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: Five card butch was a variant on it was not a high-low game. [SPEAKER_09]: That was the problem with it was a different that way. [SPEAKER_09]: And five card a butch was one of the family members would get on all fours and each card will be put between his butt cheeks and you You're not that that's not true five card butch It was cards in his ass and then you Well, no, Mike you've just went from bad to worse first it was just in the cleft now.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's in the ass [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, not the bad part. [SPEAKER_09]: Well, I should hope not too wide. [SPEAKER_02]: If you could get a if you get a card I do have a deck of things that are brown. [SPEAKER_02]: I think if you folded it with that Bruins rule says he plays poker. [SPEAKER_02]: Jimmy's that's yeah, I ran that at my bar too.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, thank you [SPEAKER_02]: This is my deck of brown cards Mike, you know what, by the way, I'd like to ask Jimmy about this when we talk to Jimmy again, but poker at a bar, you know what I, you know what we call that, but we call that at my bar drink water night. [SPEAKER_02]: What a waste of time that was for me.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's done, you know what, he's done some casino nights that are pretty cool though But when it's a charity thing, but there's no way a poker night's making you money They might be drinking. [SPEAKER_07]: They're not buying any food. [SPEAKER_02]: No, they don't really a that the joke I don't think they was they call a lot. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they didn't drink and they did because they want to focus Yeah, that's pretty good.
[SPEAKER_09]: And those are the drink tend to spill on the table [SPEAKER_02]: Well, it was just really not a raucous rowdy smoke cigars drink whiskey. [SPEAKER_02]: It was not that kind of night. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: It was more like water drinkers and you know, answer me these questions. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: That's it. [SPEAKER_09]: The guy might have was showing a seven. [SPEAKER_02]: But by the way, what are his casino nights?
[SPEAKER_02]: Those are charity functions. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they are charity. [SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, so I'm at a regular, this is a regular, for motion night, you know? [SPEAKER_02]: So I understand, Rob's very protective of Jimmy's because he eats all the drinks for free there. [SPEAKER_02]: So we have to make sure that we don't say, I'm not slamming Jimmy's. [SPEAKER_02]: I know because I know that. [SPEAKER_02]: I know that's what I was doing.
[SPEAKER_07]: So it's a wonderful planet in a minute, Jimmy's. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, you've got the memorial through a dad that's coming up in Jimmy's on Father's Day weekend June Friday, June 20th. [SPEAKER_09]: I think it's two o'clock and we'd love to see all of you there that loved my father. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, that's awesome. [SPEAKER_02]: We will see you take a break when we, what's that? [SPEAKER_02]: See you there. [SPEAKER_02]: Me? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you. [SPEAKER_02]: What?
[SPEAKER_02]: That's horrible. [SPEAKER_02]: He's really viewing a day. [SPEAKER_09]: That's so funny. [SPEAKER_09]: Really, really horrible. [SPEAKER_09]: What if we could get you a second and t-shirt with Santa Claus on it would you come? [SPEAKER_09]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, look, we all, there's nothing wrong with Zoom. [SPEAKER_09]: Or a prepared statement to be read by someone on site. [SPEAKER_09]: Or it's 2026. [SPEAKER_09]: It's not. [SPEAKER_09]: You can send it.
[SPEAKER_10]: Like going back to what I would sign autographs and give away on people's birthdays. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god, you know, you're, you know, though, because he'd appreciate it. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm thinking of, you know, you've got the, you're writing the eulogy, perhaps I could do an HPS thing, you know, whether, you know, I, now I'm completely uncomfortable. [SPEAKER_02]: I am very, it doesn't show. [SPEAKER_02]: All right, we'll be right back after this asses.

[SPEAKER_09]: Hi. [SPEAKER_09]: Hello. [SPEAKER_09]: I'm Frankenstein. [UNKNOWN]: Frankenstein. [SPEAKER_09]: That's good. [SPEAKER_09]: Now you look like Colin Clive. [SPEAKER_09]: That's an even older reference than the African Queen. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's weird. [SPEAKER_02]: I have to say that just because I have to get it out. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, sure. [SPEAKER_02]: Please.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember an incarnation of my career of my show, where Mondays where I look forward to coming in a Mondays. [SPEAKER_02]: that is now different. [SPEAKER_02]: That's all I have to say. [SPEAKER_02]: I like coming on Monday. [SPEAKER_02]: That's how I feel. [SPEAKER_02]: That's how I feel. [SPEAKER_02]: It's fun and then nothing is changed my mind. [SPEAKER_09]: For many months too, to just tack on to that for many months, it's always the favorite hour of my day.
[SPEAKER_09]: So thank you guys. [SPEAKER_02]: It's fun and thank you for our listeners and the people participating. [SPEAKER_02]: That makes that happen too. [SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate that. [SPEAKER_02]: Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani was in critical, but stable condition in a Florida hospital Sunday night. [SPEAKER_02]: That's according to his spokesman, Ted Goodman. [SPEAKER_02]: Please tell me you have a quote from Ted Goodman.
[SPEAKER_02]: OK, back story, because we've been doing the podcast all day. [SPEAKER_02]: We had a general manager named Alan Goodman. [SPEAKER_02]: And anybody that's a long time list to remember is the impression I used to do with that. [SPEAKER_02]: So there it is. [SPEAKER_02]: His spokesman did not offer any details about what led to the hospitalization of the 81-year-old Giuliani, who previously served as President Donald Trump's personal lawyer.
[SPEAKER_10]: Here's the quote, May it Giuliani is a fighter. [SPEAKER_10]: who is faced every challenge in his life with unwavering strength. [SPEAKER_10]: He's fighting with that same level of strength as we speak. [SPEAKER_10]: Good men said in a statement. [SPEAKER_10]: We do ask that you join us in prayer for America's mayor, Rudy Giuliani. [SPEAKER_10]: Mr. Goodman, hello Rob, how are you? [SPEAKER_09]: Hello Rob, do you think that if Rudy gets better that will make people feel good?
[SPEAKER_10]: MPFG, make people feel good. [SPEAKER_10]: I'm Alan Goodman. [SPEAKER_10]: And I approve of this message. [SPEAKER_02]: That's great for out. [SPEAKER_02]: Does anyone have any latest on the Giuliani because I haven't heard anything about what happened to him? [SPEAKER_02]: He's 81, but I mean, in this day and age. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what to say. [SPEAKER_09]: He looks enough like a vampire that I always thought he'd live forever.
[SPEAKER_02]: on his previous podcast that he did apparently there was there was some issue with his voice and coughing and that type of thing. [SPEAKER_02]: So this might be respiratory. [SPEAKER_09]: Doesn't he give a podcast for you eat hot wings? [SPEAKER_09]: Is that is that really funny? [SPEAKER_02]: Not his. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not his. [SPEAKER_02]: He's the guy that goes on. [SPEAKER_10]: I go, [SPEAKER_02]: That's fantastic.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you filled up your tank this weekend, chances are you did a double take at the gas pump, or maybe it was a spit take. [SPEAKER_02]: If you were enjoying some gourmet gas station coffee, according to AAA, the National average gas price yesterday was $4.44. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the the national average. [SPEAKER_02]: Wow. [SPEAKER_02]: That's for regular. [SPEAKER_02]: That's up more than 30 cents from last week and up about $1.30 from last year at this time.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's also at an all-time record price for May. [SPEAKER_02]: Will we set a new record? [SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to save a prices are climbing fast. [SPEAKER_02]: The highest average price ever was set in June of 2022 in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine back then the price hit $5 and 1 cent a gallon.
[SPEAKER_02]: uh... this time around the prices soaring due to the Iran war on friday president trump acknowledged that everyday americans are really feeling it in their wallets at least for gas he said gasoline is high other prices are way down no they're not nothing's down nothing [SPEAKER_02]: But gasoline is high. [SPEAKER_02]: Come on. [SPEAKER_02]: Stop it. [SPEAKER_02]: You can't. [SPEAKER_02]: I know that's the wall. [SPEAKER_02]: Everybody's wanted to know where's the wall with Trump.
[SPEAKER_02]: The wall is lying about prices. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: You can't get it because people aren't going to tolerate that. [SPEAKER_02]: They're not they're not going to tolerate say everything else is down. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not true. [SPEAKER_02]: So you can't lie your way out of that. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_09]: At least my at least diesel is cheap. [SPEAKER_09]: It isn't really. [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's ridiculous. [SPEAKER_07]: It's ridiculous.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's ridiculous. [SPEAKER_07]: You always drive in past gas stations. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, because you got to test learned. [SPEAKER_09]: I enjoy driving past gas stations with my car full of old clothes. [SPEAKER_02]: Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy Promise quote, immediate relief. [SPEAKER_02]: Once the war is over, but it's unclear when that will be. [SPEAKER_07]: I know, I know when it'll be. [SPEAKER_07]: When? [SPEAKER_07]: Right before the midterms.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: I think they're gonna try it. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I'm trying to get it. [SPEAKER_02]: I think we were so excited about that. [SPEAKER_02]: And it gets all one big racket. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_02]: Have you heard of Gen Z being called the Christopher Columbus generation? [SPEAKER_02]: Have either one of you heard that time? [SPEAKER_02]: I've not. [SPEAKER_02]: I know. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't like Christopher Columbus.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's because they keep discovering things [SPEAKER_10]: That's where they call them the Christopher Colleague. [SPEAKER_02]: That is one of the newest one is silent walking, which is just walking without your phone and quiet quitting is a big thing nowadays. [SPEAKER_02]: But they didn't discover it. [SPEAKER_02]: That of course is doing the minimum work. [SPEAKER_02]: And people have been doing it for years. [SPEAKER_02]: They also just discovered Coke floats.
[SPEAKER_02]: which have been around since the 1800s unreal, but to be fair, every generation repackage is old ideas, millennials had life hacks and adulting and Gen X had slacker culture. [SPEAKER_02]: The difference now is TikTok blasts these trends everywhere, instantly one experts summed it up nicely saying Gen Z is inventing things, they're just making them their own. [SPEAKER_02]: And every generation does that come on.
[SPEAKER_09]: my buddy Brad you've met him and we've talked about him on the show he was talking to his son the other day and his son is a musician and makes a lot of songs and he's a he's pretty good on on on Spotify and all that stuff but he said dad I was listening to Michael Jackson because of the movie and it also recommended Prince did you know Prince was really good [SPEAKER_09]: That's funny and Brad's like, yeah, no ass, you know, that's just very good.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, that's the whole generational film. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the way it goes. [SPEAKER_02]: I have been this new incarnation and this most recent incarnation of Charlize the Ron, just everything. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm all about her. [SPEAKER_02]: I think if you watch eight pecs again, I've not watched it a second time.
[SPEAKER_02]: I love the I just I'd love her and I love her attitude and she's making the transition from the it just she still stunning and she's just super model good looking. [SPEAKER_02]: But she's also transitioning into that ballsy kind of Elaine Strich broad with the bad language and everything and I love these stories It's you get older. [SPEAKER_09]: Do you find yourself more attracted to older women? [SPEAKER_09]: Yes [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: 100%.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's unusual. [SPEAKER_02]: She says her latest thing because she's promoting the movie. [SPEAKER_02]: She's doing a lot of interviews and she says her latest thing like a lot of celebrities that her children aren't going to be coddled just because their mother is rich and famous. [SPEAKER_02]: Charlize has two adopted daughters, 12 and 9 and she says their first cars will be [SPEAKER_02]: You're going to eff it up somehow. [SPEAKER_02]: You're a new driver.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're also going to have to support themselves eventually. [SPEAKER_02]: Quote, they need to get a job that pays them, because I don't want to support them for the rest of life. [SPEAKER_02]: That's great. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the way a lot of parents feel. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Charlie's adopted the her girls as a single mom. [SPEAKER_02]: And that's very purposely how she is raising them. [SPEAKER_02]: Here's your quote.
[SPEAKER_02]: I love that I don't have to run every effing thing by a guy. [SPEAKER_02]: the great the uh... did you see we played the video of her in time square which was uh... uh... uh... you know climbing the rock wall did we know we talked about it we did not play the video it was spectacular she's just a lot of fun in the movies fun i will call it uh... you know a tour to force but it is definitely a fun movie it says here her two kids are named Sharon and Karen
[SPEAKER_02]: Sharon Thurren, Karen Thurren, or Karan Thurron, and, you know, and by the way, if you adopted a woman's name instead of the surname of a man, and you married the president's son, then it would be Karen Barren Thurren. [SPEAKER_02]: play the thing again, thank you. [SPEAKER_02]: Olivia Wilde was caught not looking fast during a red carpet interview recently, and the internet was kind, I don't know why, how could she not look her best? [SPEAKER_02]: She's beautiful.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Some people thought she looked sickly and thin. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, she, I, I thought that she looks thin a lot because she's thin. [SPEAKER_02]: The others went so far as to say she looked like golem. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's the Lord of the Rings. [SPEAKER_02]: We have to find a picture now. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, I didn't realize this Joshua would have given you a heads up. [SPEAKER_02]: Olivia would like you to know that she's fine.
[SPEAKER_02]: She says, quote, listen, that is a fish eye lens. [SPEAKER_02]: I admit, is that my best angle? [SPEAKER_02]: Was that my best ever look? [SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't know why I was so close to the camera. [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't need to be. [SPEAKER_02]: She adds, quote, I'm not dead. [SPEAKER_02]: And she, you know, it's funny those two women in the news today, who I like a lot, like the work they do. [SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, I like them both.
[SPEAKER_02]: I like Charlottesville and Olivia Wilde. [SPEAKER_02]: And I'd love to have them on the show sometime. [SPEAKER_02]: It would be really really nice at the same time. [SPEAKER_02]: Why not? [SPEAKER_02]: The same show. [SPEAKER_02]: Go for it. [SPEAKER_02]: But I'm dying to see what a fish I lens would, uh, you know, make it. [SPEAKER_09]: I think we're probably essentially. [SPEAKER_09]: It would accentuate the nose, wouldn't it? [SPEAKER_02]: Well, this is it.
[SPEAKER_02]: My precious. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I get it. [SPEAKER_02]: It didn't know. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not much of a golem look. [SPEAKER_02]: No, not at all. [SPEAKER_02]: She's thin. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no. [SPEAKER_02]: She's thin, but she's cut. [SPEAKER_02]: Look at her arm. [SPEAKER_02]: She's muscular. [SPEAKER_02]: She's in shape as what she is. [SPEAKER_02]: You know what she is, Mike? [SPEAKER_02]: She's a knockout.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, sometimes I just refuse to turn your mic off something. [SPEAKER_02]: One of the most challenging things to teach kids can be the importance of sharing. [SPEAKER_02]: But one woman is going viral for saying, no, we don't need to do that. [SPEAKER_02]: She says that if her kids have a scooter, a toy, bubbles, or a snack, quote, they're not sharing with your kids. [SPEAKER_02]: They don't have to. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, listen to that nice.
[SPEAKER_02]: that's going to really help society she adds number one you should abroad your own stuff number two that's their toy they don't have to share with you number three you don't have to do something just because somebody asks what a lovely person this woman must be she's fun for what it's worth she says if her kids want to share [SPEAKER_05]: That's cool. [SPEAKER_05]: It might get nothing. [SPEAKER_02]: She also clarifies that this is regarding kids in public or at a park.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's very different if they invite another kid over to their house because then they're welcoming them into their space. [SPEAKER_09]: Into their house with all white furniture and white carpet. [SPEAKER_09]: Please don't touch anything and take your shoes off. [SPEAKER_09]: Who's coming into your space today? [SPEAKER_09]: Don't share that carrot. [SPEAKER_07]: I hope you have some car trouble and no one wants to help and share. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, sharing.
[SPEAKER_02]: Not sharing my knowledge of the engine. [SPEAKER_02]: Would you share those jumper cables? [SPEAKER_02]: Well, big news over the weekend. [SPEAKER_02]: Spirit Airlines abruptly shut down on second. [SPEAKER_02]: standing and one who had tickets and without any customer service to help them figure out what to do in a statement they said we are not able to help rebook your flight but we'll automatically process refunds for all flights well that's good at least they're doing that.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we are proud of the impact of our ultra-local model for the last 33 years and had hoped to serve our guests for many years to come. [SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't shocking, Spirit has been struggling for years going through two bankruptcies and failed mergers and there's been a lot of noise in the past few weeks about surging fuel costs being the nail in Spirit's coffin. [SPEAKER_02]: You hear that about airlines all the time.
[SPEAKER_09]: So now are they going to, are they just going to focus on their Halloween stores? [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: The spirit Halloween story, I love Halloween story. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, look, come on. [SPEAKER_02]: So it's been a popular punching bag. [SPEAKER_02]: A lot of those jabs were deserved, but just last month it topped a list of America's best airlines.
[SPEAKER_02]: Remember that because of the first point and it was one of the few budget options when you just needed to get from point A to point B. [SPEAKER_02]: That's a stupid way to say that in my home opinion. [SPEAKER_02]: So you always have to get from point A to point B for right. [SPEAKER_02]: So [SPEAKER_02]: say give me a drink, you know, you got to travel. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Hi, Breeze. [SPEAKER_02]: Breeze. [SPEAKER_02]: That's my lady to slow count at low cost area.
[SPEAKER_02]: Frontier is still there. [SPEAKER_02]: Frontier is still there, too. [SPEAKER_02]: You can get take off backwards. [SPEAKER_02]: That's wonderful. [SPEAKER_02]: The seat belt feels nice. [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, finally today, a 23-year-old former Chick-fil-A employee in Texas named Tisha Jones. [SPEAKER_02]: has finally been arrested after a really bizarre scheme involving Mac and cheese that he executed back in November.
[SPEAKER_02]: Keeshan was seen on security footage sneaking back behind the counter, ringing up around 800 Mac and cheese tray orders, and then refunding them to his personal cards for around $80,000. [SPEAKER_02]: I'd love this. [SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully. [SPEAKER_02]: is always packed, but somehow he pulled this off in street clothes without anyone stopping him. [SPEAKER_02]: He might have known when to strike because he used to work at that Chick-fil-A, but it was fired the month before.
[SPEAKER_02]: There aren't a lot of details on how he pulled it off or why he thought he might get away with it, but the manager has noticed a loss of 80k in nothing she's returns, looked at the video and reported the theft. [SPEAKER_02]: The police launched [SPEAKER_02]: He faces multiple felony charges, including property theft, money laundering, and evading arrest. [SPEAKER_02]: His reinment has been delayed as Keeshan battles. [SPEAKER_02]: Beer constipation.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, he didn't eat the mac and cheese. [SPEAKER_09]: I know fan of the Chick-fil-A because it's always so crowded. [SPEAKER_09]: But this weekend, have you ever tried one of their frosted drinks? [SPEAKER_09]: What do you mean frosted drinks like a milkshake? [SPEAKER_09]: Well, it's not like a milkshake. [SPEAKER_09]: The one I tried was their lemonade and vanilla ice cream whipped together. [SPEAKER_09]: So it's kind of like a milkshake. [SPEAKER_09]: It's like whipped.
[SPEAKER_09]: Is that what it is? [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
[SPEAKER_02]: Scales told me that this morning. [SPEAKER_02]: Wow. [SPEAKER_02]: By the way, as much as I loved it, it will not be making it back into the house just too much of it. [SPEAKER_02]: This man is lying. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just a man who can't say no. [SPEAKER_09]: When is the next? [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, I know we've is your birthday the next one.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's vapid-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed-ed- [SPEAKER_02]: I have not. [SPEAKER_02]: Are they good? [SPEAKER_02]: Amazing. [SPEAKER_02]: Really? [SPEAKER_02]: Of course.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_07]: Every get that bakery section is good. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: And then then I look forward to a man. [SPEAKER_02]: I will tell you. [SPEAKER_02]: It's the most fun gaining weight I've ever had. [SPEAKER_02]: We have taken break and when we come back, I want to talk about a show on TV because I think we forget.
[SPEAKER_02]: What happens in these court TV news of the moment situations and I'm pretty stunned by this tiny little fact that involved a very evil guy. [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to do that when we come back on the Michael Marisha. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, children gather around the weather is getting warmer and that means that the bugs are coming.
[SPEAKER_02]: Critter City sweetheart, now I'm known as a do it yourselfers so I do not pay top dollar for a crooked pest control company to kill my bugs and my wallet. [SPEAKER_02]: I use Pesty. [SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh, Pesty is do it yourself, Pest Control. [SPEAKER_02]: Their kit makes it so easy, it only takes a few minutes to apply, and with Pesty, you can get started at just $35 per treatment. [SPEAKER_02]: Pesty, it's the bestie. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back to the Michael Mary's Show, everybody. [SPEAKER_02]: There is a documentary, you know, Carl and I love documentary films. [SPEAKER_02]: We really do or documentary TV shows. [SPEAKER_02]: They're just interesting the way they do, because they take so much time to do them. [SPEAKER_02]: And in the case of that horrible serial killer in Long Island, they called him the Gilgo Beach Killer.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's a doc that's out now about him. [SPEAKER_02]: It's called the Gilgo Beach Killer House of Secrets. [SPEAKER_02]: Do you know? [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that goes back what 25, 30 years. [SPEAKER_02]: This guy doing it up. [SPEAKER_02]: They have yet to sentence him. [SPEAKER_02]: He will be sentenced. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just recently that he's pled guilty about this. [SPEAKER_02]: And this is a guy that murdered us.
[SPEAKER_02]: So many, it's insane, and when you've got a justice system that gets bogged down by bad police work and the fact that the just of this documentary, which I think is a message we should all take to heart is that, you know, people are people no matter what. [SPEAKER_02]: We're these sex workers that he murdered predominantly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if, you know, what he is admitted to, I think there are more bodies to be found from this guy, but he, you know, the ones that he is admitted to, mostly sex workers.
[SPEAKER_02]: And in the era where they were doing the investigating of this situation, he, the cops really kind of, [SPEAKER_02]: put it on the back burner didn't prioritize it because they were in the sex trade and you know it's it's such a great example of human beings should be treated like human beings no matter what and you know where these women women participating in something that's on the other side of the law yes where they uh some where they women that deserve to be murdered
[SPEAKER_02]: They, it took a very, very long time. [SPEAKER_02]: A to catch him, B to even discover the bodies, B to be A, B to go long time to catch him. [SPEAKER_02]: And then when I saw on, like midway through this series, we've benched it over the weekend that, that guy hasn't even been sentenced yet. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, he finally pled guilty after years and years and years and years. [SPEAKER_02]: And he won't be sentenced until the summer.
[SPEAKER_02]: the justice system in America is not swift. [SPEAKER_02]: It does not. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it does not. [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, it does not. [SPEAKER_07]: But it's not on purpose. [SPEAKER_07]: It's slow so that we don't kill innocent people. [SPEAKER_09]: But I think that was more in design of our political system to be a slow, arduous process than the justice system. [SPEAKER_09]: Because there isn't something about a swift and fair trial.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, and I think that the delays are building up to the trial. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: I think what you can point a finger at more than anything is bad, shoty police work. [SPEAKER_02]: And you know, I love I have a lot of friends who are on the job. [SPEAKER_02]: And I believe that that job, the very, the physical courage required in most cases to be a police officer is something the average person probably has difficulty understanding.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: but there's not a day that goes by that there's not a police officer getting out of their car walking up to a traffic stop having absolutely no idea what could be on the other side.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that alone is what separates police officers who run to the danger from the rest of us at the same time when you blow off things because it's not a priority because of the [SPEAKER_09]: what they need to do is take a page of how the cops worked when they got Samuel Bateman on this. [SPEAKER_09]: Have you seen the Sam Bateman show? [SPEAKER_02]: But the Samuel Bateman show didn't they take a long time to find people that, you know, they finally found that by the age.
[SPEAKER_09]: But not 19 years. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, you know, just craziness as far as the [SPEAKER_02]: You know, looking the other way and not going for it and then there's that sucks and they have to be held to a higher standard and I think they emphasize that do they emphasize that in the doctor do they focus on the fact that these police officers who [SPEAKER_02]: were investigating these crimes once the bodies were discovered.
[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, that area of Long Island where the bodies were discarded was so thick with underbrush and it was difficult to even move in there. [SPEAKER_02]: He didn't bury these bodies. [SPEAKER_02]: He threw them in there because he knew it was so difficult to get at and difficult to see because of the brush that was involved.
[SPEAKER_02]: So once they finally [SPEAKER_07]: these sex workers, they didn't handle it the way they would have, you know, it's always to, but it's also, it's also because his victims are people who already cut friends and family out of their life. [SPEAKER_07]: So there were people that made it in what happened to this person.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and they make a point that although that's true, [SPEAKER_02]: In some of the cases, they do have loved ones that, you know, we're, you know, still active in their lives and paying attention to what was going on. [SPEAKER_02]: It just sucks. [SPEAKER_02]: It really does. [SPEAKER_02]: And this guy studied how to cover his tracks. [SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, he had a wife, he had a kid. [SPEAKER_02]: That's always the wildest thing to me when they lead.
[SPEAKER_02]: We've lived in Long Island, worked in the city, and just a lot of the crap happened when his wife was in the white town. [SPEAKER_07]: because we're going to get a lot of guys caught because they're going to Google or go to chat GPT and say how to hide this body. [SPEAKER_07]: And we're going to just, they're going to go and just confess right to the computer. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, it'll be waiting for the cops when they get what I mean, it's a check it out if you're interested.
[SPEAKER_09]: I watched your other documentary, Mike, about the murderer. [SPEAKER_09]: And now I'm not ever going to walk by a red bull can without wondering what's under it. [SPEAKER_02]: Wow. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, and I think I don't know, I would like to do a study. [SPEAKER_02]: I'd like to commission a study right now. [SPEAKER_02]: You can start at our house with watching all these murdered documentaries and deadlines. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, there he starts and what it does to your brain.
[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, at the end of the day, I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't, I really don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: I can't be healthy. [SPEAKER_02]: I even want, I'm in the middle of doing it. [SPEAKER_02]: It can't really. [SPEAKER_02]: No, I think it is. [SPEAKER_09]: It lets you know that you can't do it. [SPEAKER_09]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_09]: It emphasizes the fact that ultimately the good guys will get you Right, right.
[SPEAKER_09]: Emphasizes the fact that the technology is out there. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no, if there's any one of us that would be on the edge It would be me and do you ever find the like you're watching this like you're watching a documentary or you're watching a date I'm about an evil, uh, you know, a man who arranged to have his wife Wacked and find yourself looking at your signature for you now. [SPEAKER_02]: They're like this [SPEAKER_09]: Sometimes she looks at me like that.
[SPEAKER_09]: Actually, when we watch a date line, I usually sit in the room with Carrie and I just keep saying to myself, Please don't let her talk. [SPEAKER_09]: Don't talk. [SPEAKER_09]: Don't talk. [SPEAKER_09]: Please don't talk. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you're getting a stop talking, but just you talk like Keith Morrison. [SPEAKER_02]: Wow. [SPEAKER_02]: So the question is, who is going to go into the kitchen to get this ass? [SPEAKER_02]: It's not far wrong. [SPEAKER_02]: Snacks are good.
[SPEAKER_02]: Make watching TV taste here. [SPEAKER_02]: Yet nobody wanted to take the time to go to get them. [SPEAKER_02]: There you go. [SPEAKER_09]: Who's going to do the dishes? [SPEAKER_02]: The dishes each, she walked into the kitchen and noticed that there were three empty bowls with the residue of Kirkland Supreme vanilla ice cream. [SPEAKER_02]: all eaten by Mike, at that point she knew we had a problem on our hands. [SPEAKER_02]: We, like I do to the camera, I do here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, let's take a break when we come back. [SPEAKER_02]: We have a game. [SPEAKER_02]: We have a game. [SPEAKER_02]: We have a game. [SPEAKER_02]: We have a game. [SPEAKER_02]: We have a game. [SPEAKER_02]: We're excited about that. [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to do that. [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm going to figure out what my late spoken. [SPEAKER_09]: And this is based on medicine or Pokemon, medicine or Pokemon. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay, perfect. [SPEAKER_09]: Do you remember many years ago there was a college professor, I think it was in Wichita that would include aspects of the show in his final exams? [SPEAKER_02]: I remember that.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_09]: So this guy, this professor, he actually teaches pharmacology and he did on his final [SPEAKER_09]: I stopped in the name of love. [SPEAKER_09]: I was out of focus. [SPEAKER_09]: Thank you very much. [SPEAKER_09]: In his farm ecology final, he did a list where you had to guess if these list of things was it a Pokemon or was it a prescription? [SPEAKER_09]: And I will allow you guys, I think I'm going to do really well with this.
[SPEAKER_09]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: And because we flipped a coin backstage, Mike gets to go first. [SPEAKER_09]: All right. [SPEAKER_09]: I'm ready. [SPEAKER_09]: so many things to get to today let's start with this because it won't make sense to do it tomorrow uh historic victory at the Kentucky Derby which seems to have been done under the darkness of secrecy this year. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what's wrong. [SPEAKER_09]: I found out about it at about four o'clock on Saturday afternoon and I think that's a question. [SPEAKER_09]: Sure. [SPEAKER_02]: four o'clock Saturday afternoon. [SPEAKER_02]: Did they run it in a different time?
[SPEAKER_09]: No, it always they always start the coverage at like two and the race always goes off at 30, 30, right? [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, where I was. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I guess it's because I thought it was Saturday when it was Sunday.
[SPEAKER_09]: Because I'm, oh, now my, uh, the winner is called Golden Tempo and anyone who had any sort of bet involving Golden Tempo, including a boxbed did very well because he went off at 24 to 1, which is almost unheard of odds for a winner at the derby. [SPEAKER_02]: What were the odds at, uh, race time for, uh, Orville's testicle? [SPEAKER_09]: Even money.
[SPEAKER_09]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: Like the thing, but the most amazing thing [SPEAKER_09]: This horse, golden tempo, comes from last place to winning the race. [SPEAKER_09]: Now, I've heard of, I've heard of come from behind victories, but this is amazing. [SPEAKER_09]: Watch the conclusion of the race. [SPEAKER_05]: Commandment is coming with his rally now, as they round the far turn in Ocelli. [SPEAKER_05]: Ocelli is picking it up with a wide bid as they come for the top of the stretch.
[SPEAKER_05]: We're done on Bourbon as taking the march. [SPEAKER_05]: Denon Bourbon's off the turn and he's got a three-way feed heading for the eighth pole Ocellean commandment are closing in Ocellean renegade Rolling down the tap of the track and golden temple from far behind Denon Bourbon trying to fend off Ocellean renegade And here's golden temple Golden temple from off the pays To win the derby And the period of finding a racing to finding when
[SPEAKER_02]: Isn't that amazing that is a cool I got to go back watch that whole thing that is very, very very cool also historic Stop it stop it. [SPEAKER_09]: Also cool. [SPEAKER_09]: That was the first horse to win the derby with a female trainer. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, congratulations that it was raining. [SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, speaking of sloppy track. [SPEAKER_02]: We had a girl at American University. [SPEAKER_09]: No, we're not talking about that now.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm talking about Florida. [SPEAKER_09]: You live there. [SPEAKER_09]: It's nice. [SPEAKER_09]: I do. [SPEAKER_09]: I do. [SPEAKER_09]: I do live in Florida. [SPEAKER_09]: and here's something you don't see very often is when a policeman was called because an alligator was in an intersection. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, we got a gator that's sitting in the middle of a roadway who looks a little unhappy with us. [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, he's probably everyone around here.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's pretty big. [SPEAKER_09]: Would you say six feet? [SPEAKER_04]: I figure out what we're going to do to get him away from all these people. [SPEAKER_04]: Is this the column we're listening to? [SPEAKER_04]: Hey guys, go back over there. [SPEAKER_04]: Right now I'm just going to push him over here until you're traveling here. [SPEAKER_07]: That's a small guy. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to get him off the roadway. [SPEAKER_04]: Hopefully right here where he can hang out.
[SPEAKER_04]: We're no one's around here. [SPEAKER_02]: You drag you into water. [SPEAKER_04]: There you go. [SPEAKER_04]: To say a rest for me, buddy. [SPEAKER_04]: Watch out, missy. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, once that gets on, there's a good start. [SPEAKER_04]: Death roll, come on. [SPEAKER_09]: It's gonna roll. [SPEAKER_09]: You said, you said death rolls. [SPEAKER_09]: He said death rolls, but that's good. [SPEAKER_09]: That's good rolls.
[SPEAKER_09]: Later on, that same day, the gator came from last place. [SPEAKER_09]: to win the Kentucky Derby. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, really. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, and we have to wait till the end of the summer, but I urge everybody to come down here in August for the Gator races. [SPEAKER_09]: It's wonderful. [SPEAKER_02]: That's a fun. [SPEAKER_02]: How long since you've written? [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you know, it was, my knees have never really recovered. [SPEAKER_09]: I know.
[SPEAKER_09]: The secret is Mike always had the gators with the longest legs. [SPEAKER_06]: I did. [SPEAKER_09]: Mike, I'll tell you something about ball more. [SPEAKER_09]: Is they have some of the best baked goods you can get. [SPEAKER_09]: You can get burger cookies. [SPEAKER_09]: You can get black and white cookies. [SPEAKER_07]: What are burger cookies? [SPEAKER_09]: Burger cookies are shortbread cookies with logs bits of chocolate on top.
[SPEAKER_07]: Well, that's a fudge chocolate on him. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, almost like a fondot. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so is that the one where they got the cookie with the like it almost looks like or her she's kiss on top of it. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: No. [SPEAKER_09]: No, it doesn't it can. [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, I've seen them flopped on that talk that high. [SPEAKER_09]: Haven't they? [SPEAKER_07]: No, it's an amazing amount of talking and they dip the almost the entire thing.
[SPEAKER_07]: They dip like two thirds of it into the chocolate. [UNKNOWN]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: All right. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I know you've seen a black and white cookie. [SPEAKER_09]: right, that's the one. [SPEAKER_09]: But this truck from Baltimore was a bakery truck and was headed up to Newark to drop off some baked goods and it had a bad time when it drove by Newark Airport. [SPEAKER_09]: This video courtesy of Josh, this bakery truck is hit by a landing plane.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_07]: I'm like, so, and nobody was hurt on the plane? [SPEAKER_07]: No, no, the plane landed fine. [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_07]: I think if he wasn't even there, the minor injuries, they say that, I guess, at Newark, the planes come down so low there for later in the highway so close that it was surprising it's taken till now to happen. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, they're going to make some changes there.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, get the active runway a little further away from the highway, maybe. [SPEAKER_09]: And also getting less baked goods from Baltimore. [SPEAKER_02]: That's a mess. [SPEAKER_02]: OK, I'll have to have your priorities. [SPEAKER_09]: Mike, I'm just curious, if golf was changed, you've been taught, you know, let's close with that. [SPEAKER_09]: Let's do one more first. [SPEAKER_09]: Have you ever seen the largest nut in the world? [SPEAKER_09]: Yes, I have.
[SPEAKER_09]: Mike, I think you know, it's like a minute right now. [SPEAKER_09]: I think you know, it's called the butnut and I didn't think it was true. [SPEAKER_09]: The butnut until I saw this video from the Smithsonian. [SPEAKER_01]: Today we're looking at the largest sea from the world. [SPEAKER_01]: The butnut. [SPEAKER_01]: A bigger than an apple seed, a nectarine seed, mango seed, and even a coconut is this. [SPEAKER_01]: Showing a coconut in there.
[SPEAKER_01]: The seat of Coca-Demirac can be referred to as a nut, and its odd shape is given rise to a common name of Butznet or Bumnet. [SPEAKER_01]: In fact, the original scientific name is the Doysia Apijay, which in Greek means beautiful buttics. [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for sharing. [SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate that. [SPEAKER_09]: It's not an edible seed, but if you are going to partake, so you say it's best to ask permission. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay, what's the last one you've got?
[SPEAKER_09]: So as you've talked about perhaps giving up golf. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, what if we found a new variant on golf? [SPEAKER_09]: Could it bring you back? [SPEAKER_02]: No, I'd have to say, do you have it for us? [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, this is a fun game because Mike, in this game, your number of strokes doesn't count. [SPEAKER_09]: It's your speed. [SPEAKER_09]: It's racing golf. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, oh, in there off. [SPEAKER_00]: Bye, bye. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh! [SPEAKER_03]: Great shot!
[SPEAKER_03]: My shot! [SPEAKER_01]: Nice! [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god! [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god! [SPEAKER_01]: This is the heck that's pretty dangerous. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like 16 balls in the hole. [SPEAKER_08]: That's a nice bite back. [SPEAKER_08]: It's a course I've ever seen. [SPEAKER_07]: You think it's a nice course to have a nice. [SPEAKER_09]: Now you guys, you say what you want, I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_09]: You say what you want, that was at Pebble Beach.
[SPEAKER_09]: All right, so just cool your jets. [SPEAKER_09]: Anyway, Mike, that's your cookies. [SPEAKER_09]: Okay. [SPEAKER_09]: All right, so those are the burgers cookies. [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, yeah, well those look good and they come from burger bakery, right? [SPEAKER_09]: I mean there's not cost but there's a real burger bakery right You know, yeah, yeah, they're bought one. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you need with that. [SPEAKER_02]: You need some vanilla ice cream.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and a butnight. [SPEAKER_02]: If that stays out of my house till my birthday We're gonna call that the summer miracle.
