Episode description

Progesterone is one of your female hormones that is produced by the ovary, placenta and adrenal glands. This hormone is mainly secreted by the corpus luteum after ovulation. It plays a very  important role in your menstrual cycle and in the early stages of pregnancy.

Several things can cause a progesterone deficiency in your body and on today’s podcast I will be sharing 4 of the those causes. Now mind you these aren’t the only causes but for the sake of keeping things simple and understandable we will start here.

Listen in to find out how the following can play havoc with your progesterone hormone:

Anovulation

Hypothyroidism

Low cholesterol

And lastly, how does cortisol affect your progesterone production.

We also list some of the symptoms of progesterone deficiency.
