Ep. 5 - LGBTQIA+

In today’s episode, I tell my story. After many years of grappling with my sexuality (and cycling through every damn letter in the rainbow 🌈 alphabet😂), I am ready to just be Missy Gordon.

The Modern Christian Church has mentally tortured many of us in the LGBTQIA+ community, so today I offer a practice that had deeply helped me to combat this: Eckhart Tolle’s concept of “Presence” and learning to simply exist in The Now.

After my Spiritual Awakening in 2021, and layers of deep shadow work, I connected with The Divine Feminine within me. This new self-awareness caused me to once again question my sexuality, resulting in yet ANOTHER identity crisis. After 20 years of Christians telling me I was going to burn in hell for my sexuality, and developing PTSD because of it, I’m finally ready to exit the religious arguments 🏳 and just focus on being Missy Gordon. If pressed for a label (nobody puts baby in a corner😂), I would say, “I identify as the ‘plus’ in LGBTQIA+”.

Here’s to finding peace within ourselves. 🌈 May we always give each other the grace and room to evolve freely without judgment as we integrate and embrace even deeper aspects of ourselves.
