grief is more than death

have you ever lost someone?

an old friend?

a lover?

a beloved pet?

have you ever lost something?

a job?

a house?

a dream?

an aspect of you?

grief is more than death

grief is loss

grief is wandering

grief is aimless

and the road can be long

and winding

without an end in sight

but the end will come

and when it comes

we see the light

and we understand

that the end was a new beginning

an evolution

of us
