It is unfortunate how christianity and messianic judaism have twisted the meaning and the purpose of tithing, to feed their own greedy ambitions, and to deceive a lot of hard working people into giving ten percent of their money to a pastor or rabbi who either doesn't understand the practice, or intentionally ignores the true meaning, in pursuit of financial gain.
