This mediate podcast. Welcome to Meet Eater Trivia, the only game show where conservation always wins. I'm your host Spence in New York, and today we're joined by special guests Adam Weatherby and Luke Thorkeldsen, both from weatherb Inc. In addition to those two, we also have Cal Brodie, Sean, Corey, Krinn Rick and Byron. You'll notice one name I didn't mention there. That's Stephen Ronella. This is a steveless episode, So Byron, this is your first time on the show.
Tell folks what you do here at Meat Eater. I'm the chief product officer. What does that mean? Responsible for all of our digital platforms? Basically everything technology related? And are you nervous a little bit? Yeah? Now, Adam, I don't know what that means. Yeah, Google, Google Hacker. That's a perfect way. Now, Adam and Luke, how do you guys feel about Trivia? I'll let you know in like an hour. Yeah, Luke, I was a big Jeopardy fan
growing up. Yeah, not anymore though. Do they still have it? I'm not sure I could. It was my Ambi Alec for a while. That actress from Big Bang Theory Ken Jenny was. Ever since Rerbeca left, they've had a bunch of guest house I'm not sure who the permanent one is now, Trebec left, Trabec passed away. If it's a guns and Ammo, I think will be comfortable. Anything outside of that we don't know. Okay, well, if you're not familiar.
This is normally a ten round quiz show with questions from meat eaters for verticals which you're hunting, fishing, conservation, and cooking, and there is a prize. Meat eater will donate five dollars to the conservation organization of the winner's choosing. But there's a twist for today's show. I've been wanting to do this for a long time and I figured that in light of today's guests from weather B, this would be the episode to do it. So here's what
it is. Today's game of trivia is all about firearms. That means that all ten questions will have some sort of tie to rifles, shotguns, handguns, Ammo and more so Adam and Luke. I'll ask you again, how do you guys feel about trivia? Better? A lot better now? Now I told you we're gonna reveal a new stat on each episode of Trivia and in in the stat of the Week, this week is a look at our donation. So far, Meat eat Trivia has donated just over ten thousand dollars
to various conservation organizations. This money has been spread across fifteen different groups, including Meat Eaters, Land Access Initiative, the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, National Wild Turkey Federation, the Western Bear Foundation, back Country Hunters and Anglers, the Rough Grouse Society, National Deer Association, howl dot Org, and more. This will be even funner to look at a year from now because this is really the only game show where conservation
always wins. As funner a word spencer more fun. It will be more fun. And I'm also gonna get funner in the dictionary. You know, the word doc didn't correct me. Word doc didn't correct me when I put funner in here. Hey, I'm not saying it isn't. I'm just asking if it is. It's fine. This is more Jeopardy than Wheel of Fortune. We don't have to worry about language. We have some housekeeping.
Way back when we recorded the live show in Billings, Montana, I asked the players to place, in order from biggest is smallest the populations of elk, mule deer, white tails, and turkey and Montana. The correct answer was mule deer and first white tail, and second elk, and third in turkey and fourth, But I forgot to give the fact to it afterwards, and a handful of people reached out to ask what their populations actually are. So here it is.
As of one, in Montana, there are two hundred ninety three thousand mule's, two twelve thousand white tails, one hundred and thirty six thousand elk, and one hundred and twenty thousand turkeys. Now, cal as our Montanan. Does that sound right to you? Sounds right? Thank you. That's why we got you here. And with that we're on the Meat Eat Trivia. Play the drop Phil, Look, I need to know what I stand away everything? How's that? Had? Just
tend everything? Davon Suckers Question one and a reminder, all of these are going to be tied to guns. The topic is rifles and this will be multiple choice. Finish this famous quote from outdoor writer Townsend Whalen. Only blank rifles are interesting? Is it dirty, fast, accurate or American? Again? Finish this quote from outdoor writer Townsend whaland only blank rifles are interesting? Is it dirty, fast, accurate? Or American? Did anybody know this off the toppler head? Or is
everybody has taken a guess? Yes? Thank I know it. Brody thinks he knows the answer again, dirty fast, accurate or American? Does everybody have an answer? Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have cal saying American, Luke saying fast, Byron saying American, Brody saying accurate, Krian saying accurate, Corey saying fast, Shawn saying dirty, Rick saying accurate, and American, Adam saying American. The correct answer is accurate, Brod, he
did know it. Here's the folk quote from Wayland's nineteen fifty seven article in the American Rifleman magazine. If a rifle and its cartridge are highly accurate, the shooter will take greater pride in the arm. He will shoot it more, his marksmanship will improve, he will get more game, he will win more matches. On the other hand, if the rifle is not accurate, the shooter gets nowhere with it. He does not develop into a good shot, he loses interest,
and he soon disposes of it. Only accurate rifles are interesting? Do you boys go by that saying that weather b No, we just we try to make mall. They're all dirty. So if there was an e all the above, we had a one question to the topic is gear. What department store sold ted Williams Edition firearms which were named after the legendary baseball player and avid outdoorsman. What department store sold ted Williams addition firearms which were named after
the legendary baseball player and avid outdoorsman. Looking forward department store that sold ted Williams addition firearms? Bro do you're probably the oldest feller in this room? Do you know this? One dig? We'll see does everybody have an answer? Go
ahead and reveal your answers. We have Cal saying Montgomery, Reward, Luke saying Amber, Crownbie, and Fitch Buyer saying wool worse, Brody saying sears, Crant saying wool worse, Corey saying Kmart, Shawn saying sears, Rick saying sears, and Adam saying sears. The correct answer is sears. The room did pretty well. When department stores ruled the world, it was commonplace for them to sell guns. Besides Sears. You could also purchase firearms at J. C. Penny, Kmart, True Value, Montgomer, Reward,
Westernado and more. Many of these forgotten firearms are now considered collectors items. If you want more on the history of these guns, read David mccar's article on the media dot com called an owed to department store Guns. Where weather Be has ever sold at a department store? Probably? Yeah.
I think what was common for these was that like Kmart or Sears or J. C. Penney would sell a gun that was made by someone like Remington or Winchester or weather Be, but they would put a different name off and for a while the Ted Williams firearms, I think we're J. C. Higgins And then it became Ted Williams. Do you guys own any of those? Anybody? He used to own a Jay C. Higgins in what sixteen gage?
You know his family firearm better got sold. There's a lot of old timers so that talk about getting guns at searies and department stores like and they looked at in the catalog and drooled over it for years. Right. Question three the topic is conservation. This is our listener question in the week, which was won by Drey Warden for sending this great question. Dre is going to get
a hat signed by everyone in the room. If you want a chance to win our listener question in the week, send your question to trivia at the meat eater dot com. What cartridge has killed the most Boon and Crockett animals? Again, what cartridge has killed the most Boon and Crockett animals? Boone and Crockett has some great record keeping. You can go in there and find basically every cartridge used for the last one hundred years on the critters that are in their books down to its down to two for me.
So yeah, if you're the type that has that amount of time on your hands, go go down the Boone Crockett record books online. That's right. Does everybody have an answer? Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Cal saying thirty ot six, Luke saying thirty ots six, Byron saying thirty ots six, Brody saying thirty ot six, saying the three O eight, Corey saying the seven mm, Seawan saying thirty ots six, Rick sank thirty ot six, and Adam saying thirty ots six. Popular answer in the room, and
that is correct. It is the thirty odds six Springfield Did you get it? Byron is responsible for killing over animals in the Boone and Crockett record books. That's followed closely by the seven mm rim Meg and the two seventy Winchester, which have both killed just over one thousand Boone and Crockett animals. Was that your other one? Guns don't kill things? Suspensor people killed thanks? It was you know the old outdoor writer that loved the two seventy win. Yeah,
I was wondering if that was Jack O'Connor. Yeah, I don't. I think was. He didn't like Townsend Wale, and I think those two did not appreciate that. I thought O'Connor's deal was like he like basically was the popularity of the two seventy. He would often write stories and I'd be like, you know, four guessing four fifty, and then he like hits the sheep in the ass and then
he got to track it down and kill it. And my grandpa often got in fights with him too, because yeah, to seventy win was pretty slow for our family, so yeah, they got in he did, uh, he did debates, but he actually won the weather b Award, the second year in nine fifty seven O'Connor did so still give away the weather b Award. Yeah, weather be Foundation International runs it does some conservations, some different things. So it's totally separate than us. Uh and it's yeah, it's still around.
Started by my grandpa. There's a stat for you. That question for the topic is history. What was the last name of the two St. Louis brothers who developed a style of percussion camp rifle that became known as the planes Rifle? Again, what was the last name of the two St. Louis brothers who developed a style of percussion camp rifle that later became known as the planes rifle? Looking for their last? Lot of names out there? Thanks
for multiple choice on this one, Spence, good luck. What was the last name the two St. Louis brothers who developed a style of percussion camp rifle that later became known as the Planes rifle. Anybody's been to St. Louis Patties Barbecue. Give those guys a shout out there there, hunters and anglers. Damn good barbecue. It's a good use of your platform. Maybe it was Rick. You had a
quick answer. Do you know this one? I feel pretty confident. Yeah, pretty confident, but I I have a fear that the way you said the question, I may have looking for the last name of the brothers who developed the Planes rifle. My only memory of being in St. Louis was going to plan at Hollywood. Not a lot of hunters and anglers there. Unfortunate is that the only place you can find a plane at Hollywood? I think these days. Yeah, Brodie, how are you doing down there? I know I'm not right,
but that's all I got. Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have cal saying Henry, Luke saying Dakota. Byron sang Winchester, Winchester. Brodie sang Brownie Krin without an answer, Corey saying Henry, shown saying Thompson, Rick saying Hawkins, Adam saying Callahan. The correct answer was Hawking Rick got it right, Well done, Well done. The National Firearms Museum called the Hawkins rifle the mountain Man's inseparable companion because he was used by
so many fur trappers. It featured a heavier, shorter barrel than the Pennsylvania long rifle and a larger fifty four or fifty six caliber boar. You said planes rifle in your question. Right, it was known as the plans is the mountain Man's best friend? Like, yeah, but it's known as the planes rifle anybody, don't anybody, Cal your talks mountain man, Like if you would have said mountain man, but everybody would have written hot. But the key is he said a percussion firearm, so meaning it's using a
percussion cap. There you go. This is based off of Hollywood media. Cal, you're being an average American that all you know about histories from the movies? Thank you, Rick, and ironic question. Yeah, yeah, welcome. The topic is media. This award winning magazine, which was created in two thousand seven, covers topics like shooting, sports, art, music, conservation, gardening, cooking,
and Southern tradition. What is it? This award winning magazine, which was created in two thousand seven, covers topic like shooting, sports, art, music, conservation, gardening, cooking, and Southern tradition. What is it? Very confused as to why this is part of trivia, But I thought this was about guns. Today we got plenty of guns questions taking you don't know this one? Cal, I know this one? You do? Yeah? And again? Are they like a new
sponsor of your triviation. The magazine covers shooting, sports as well as other things like art, music, conservation, gardening, cooking. This is a good point to add a reminder that if you have a trivia question that you'd like to send, send one that's better than this. This is your bottom bottom base. What is southern tradition? Cal, I'm not gonna answer that question again, looking for what the magazine is. Does everybody have an answer this? This is my question.
Does everybody have an answer? Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Cal saying garden and gun, Luke without an answer, Byron with saying the Bear Hunting Magazine. I like that, Brodie saying garden and gun, Krin saying Southern Living, Corey saying sportsman's a field shown without an answer, Rick saying Country Living, and Adam saying Spencer Daily News. The correct answer is garden and gun. It literally has gun in the title. What do you think it's wrong with that?
Right now? If you didn't get that right, it's probably because of where you live. That's because fifty six percent of the magazine subscribers live in the Southeast, which is mostly where the magazine focuses its attention you still you still don't like that question, Brodie, No, not really. The magazine literally has gun in the title. Yeah maybe here you guys read that, but down in Wyoming, we don't really read that. You guys are further south than us.
Even Phil, We're halfway through the game at Trivia, give us a scoreboard update. We are the only person yet to be UH represented on the board is Corey Colkins with zero points. Tied for third place with one point a piece, we have Byron, Karen and Luke. Tied for second place with two points a piece, we have Adam weatherby Cow and Sean and tied for first place with four points are Brody Henderson and Rick Hutton four points. That's why we got it here. M Question six. The
topic is calibers. This word describes a person who makes custom cartridges that haven't been adopted by major manufacturers. It also happens to be what you call a prospector who looks for oil in a new place. Again, this word describes a person who makes custom cartridges that haven't been adopted by major manufacturers. It also happens to be what you call a prospector who looks for oil in a new place, some quick answers in the room, some no answers in the room. So far I can see some
problems with this one. Well, our our main debater is I don't see a problem with it. There you get at all. I'll explain later. Does everybody have an answer? Just gonna come up with one. Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Cal saying why wildcatter, look saying wildcatter, Byron saying wildcatter, Brody saying wildcatter, Krin saying surveyor Corey without an answer, Sean saying wildcatter, Rick saying wildcatter, and
Adam say wildcatter upside down. The answer is wildcat. If Rick wasn't such a nice guy, I would point out that he actually has two answers on his board if one of them is not correct. If somebody would have said wildcat, I would get that's not a person wildcat. See what I wrote? I wrote, Yes, we're gonna give it to Rick. Maybe we could talk him half A point Really comes down to what Spencer except. One of
history's most successful wildcatter was Roy Weatherby. Weatherby's first wildcat round was the weather Be Rocket in nineteen forty three, followed by arguably his most famous wildcat round, the two fifty seven weather be magnum. If you want more on how wildcatters changed hunting than read Jordan Siller's article in the Mediator dot com called the History of Wildcatting in America. You like that question, Adam, that was very easy. I'm here today because of that word. Right. What what other
wildcat rounds do you guys sell? Well, they're not, you know what I mean? So, like even all our cartridges, we goof around with it and experiment, and then once we put in production, it's not really a wildcat anymore. When's the last time you guys kicked out a wildcat round? Well at six five hour PM? And then now the new one might talk about the end of the show. I like it. Yeah, it's actually a true wildcat because we haven't launched it yet. We got a wildcat in
the room, Spencer, what do you call it? Efforts in production? Like a tame cat? Fluffy? Question seven? The topic is handguns. If you're adjusting dovetailed iron sights on a handgun, and you move the front sight to the right, in which direction will be point of impact? Shift Again, if you're adjusting dovetailed iron sights on a handgun, and you move the front sight to the right, in which direction will
the point of impact shift? You're moving the front sight to the right in which direction will the point of impact shift? Very quick answer from Rick, who was sitting in the first place right now along with Brody. Got a fifty fifty chance here could be a trick southwest, Brody, you just gave everyone a huge hand. You've seen how many blank boards we've had. Maybe Brody doesn't know what he's talking about. Maybe not. I'm not a handgun expert,
that's for sure. Does everybody have an answer? Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Kyl saying left, Luke saying left, Byron saying left, Brodie saying left, Corin saying down, Corey saying left, Shan saying right, Lick, Rick saying left, and Atom saying right. The correct answer is left. What do you have? Oh yeah, I'm putting pressure on you itself. The front sight moves in the opposite direction of the point of impact, while the rear sight moves in the
same direction. So if your gun is shooting to the right of target, then you want to move your front sight to the right or your rear sight to the left. Yeah. I was gonna say, do people really move their front side around? Yeah? Yeah, depending depending on the handgun. Yeah yeah, if you if you're real fancy, you have this little vice that sits on there and then a screw and then screw gently pushes it. It's not the way I
do it. But if you own one of those things, bang on a brass punch gives it a hard bit. With question eight, we will get a scoreboard update from Phil after this. This next great question comes to us via Lance Beckman. If you have a question you think is right for Meat Eat to trivia, you can send it to Trivia at the meat eater dot com. What was the nickname given to Nash Buckingham's legendary double barrel
shotgun that makes a deep bellowing sound when fired? I might be the only one in here that gets this. What was the nickname giving? What was the nickname given to Nash Buckingham's legendary double barrel shotgun that makes a deep bellowing sound when fired? Bonus points for knowing model. Make that thing. Try a big question mark around legendary, doesn't it? If most of the room doesn't know what Oh no, it's like it's legy okay too. Looks like we have one one real excited kid in the room.
One more time. What was the nickname given to Nash Buckingham's legendary double barrel shotgun that makes a deep bellowing sound when fired. Come on, Byron, write something down. It's his first time. Does everybody have an answer? Go ahead
and reveal your answers. We have Cal saying Betsy, Luke saying boomer, Byron sang elephant gun, Brodie's saying blunderbuss, Kring sang the kaboom with an exclamation point, Corey saying double buckman, Sean saying bo whoop, Rick saying Thundercan, and Adam without an answer. Sean got it right. The correct answer is bo whoop. I was gonna say blunderbuss. That's what I'm a cow. Not much of a legend. Here's here's this
kid in my neighborhood. The fabled twelve Gage was an h E grade super fox that Buckingham lost while duck hunting in Arkansas in nineteen forty eight, but it mysteriously showed up again in Georgia. Fifteen years later. The bow Whoop was auctioned off in two thousand ten for just over two hundred thousand dollars, which made it the third most expensive shotgun in the world at the time. So I would say it's legendary, the most expensive shotgun. Wonder
was it somehow louder than other twelve gage shotguns? It? They said it made a deep bellowing sound. Do you need no one anymore about it, Sean? No? I mean, I just know that he wrote about it all the time, right, Yeah, it was like his famous shotgun. And when he lost it, a game warden was actually checking him, and the game warden called some muddies and they were like, hey, we're gonna get to se the bow whoop. And then after
he showed them the bow whoop. After Buckingham showed them the bow Whoop, he drove away with his with it on his tailgate and never saw it again. You should have taken better care of his guns. Hey, do you think Sean could make the boo whoop deep bellowing sound for us? Since he's got it right, give it give it a try. No, no, no, no, no, I only ever read it in text but I'd like to hear it right though. He's the only one who knew, so we should hear it. Zero chance, Phil, We have two
questions left. Give us a scoreboard update, sure thing. We have Corey and Karen with one point, Luke, Byron and Adam have three points apiece, and the four players left in the game are Sean and cow with four points and Rick and Brody with six. Question nine the topic of cinema. This Nino movie, which features Daniel day Lewis playing Nathaniel Poe, destroyed hundreds of real flint locks during
the film's production. What is it? This nine movie, which features Daniel day Lewis playing Nathaniel Poe, destroyed hundreds of real flintlocks during the film's production. What is it? Filled? The engineer? Would have you known this answer? Yes, okay, it's the only one I would have. The Pennsylvania flintlock guy over here had a pretty quick answer, Yeah, it's an American classes. What year were you born? Okay again, This movie, which features Daniel day Lewis playing Nathaniel Poe,
destroyed hundreds of real flintlocks during the film's production. Now we have Luke and Adam sharing glances across the table here. I assume Luke you know it and Adam you don't, So what's going on here? I think it's my favorite movie ever. Whoa pretty big hint if you know Luke, well, Steve would have some things to say about that being your favorite movie. Does everybody have an answer? Go ahead
and reveal your answers. We have cal saying Last of the Mohicans, Last of the Mohicans, Last of the Mohicans, Karin without an answer, Corey without an answer, Shot without an answer, Rick saying last of the Mohicans, and Adam without an answer. That is correct, the Last of the Mohicans. I know. I'm pretty sure Steve would be griping about that movie right now because they have a red deer and instead at the beginning. David mccarr wrote about this movie and it's guns in an article on the media
dot Com called the most Memorable flintlocks for Movies. Here is one of the carr's quotes about the Last of the Mohicans. The hunting scenes with Daniel day Lewis running full speed through the forest while tracking a deer are absolutely ludicrous, but the dude sure does make flintlocks look cool as hell. So to your point, Brodie, the hunting scenes suck, but they make the guns look cool. That was a great movie. The book like the book is. I would say five Time is more brutal than the movie.
The book is like vicious nasty. But isn't it based on Nettie Bumpo. No, it's based on the Last of the Mohicans. I thought Daniel day Lewis's character, though, is based on Nettie Bumpo. Now he's Mohawk and I'm sorry he's uh what is it the long Carabean in the book, Yeah, getting Supposedly Daniel day Lewis, you know, he's a method actor. Supposedly he hunted for his food to oh on foot
running through the forest. I imagine if Phil were on our last questioning Cook's son in the book, Okay, West study is the dude who plays Magua and Uh, Snart and I were having a beer over in Livingston last summer, and uh was he hanging around? And he was hanging around? Snart barked at him. WHOA. I said, Hey, I think you reckon that. She's just a puppy. I like your work. And he seemed to be just fine with that. Head down the street. Phil, We're on question ten. Give us
a scoreboard update. Well, it's uh down to Rick and Brody, who have seven points. That's it. I mean, would you like everybody? Now? That's good Rick and Brody. Everybody's got each Question ten, the topic is bears. This last great question comes to us via our very own Jordan's Sillers. Now. Jordan's writes all of our best gun content on the mediator dot com, so if you like this episode of trivia, then you should go read his articles on our website.
Here's the question. Name one of the three most used handgun cartridges in bare defense incidents. This is according to a ammal Land survey of ninety three human bear encounters. Again, name one of the three most used handgun cartridges in bare defense incidents. Rick, this is your opportunity for your first win. How do you feel about this answer? You think you got it? I feel pretty confident, um, but you never know. It depends on how many years span,
like how far you're going back with this. That could throw a little because there their bonus if you get all three. No, and if you are like human bear interactions where a handgun was used. This is according to a ammal Land survey of ninety three human bear encounters. Okay, so this is a conflict situation, not a hunting Okay classification. Okay,
go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Cal saying the nine mm, Luke saying forty four meg, Byron saying ten mm, Brody saying forty four meg, Cran saying ten mm, Corey saying the forty four meg, Shawn saying the forty four, Rick saying the ten millimeter, and Adam saying the forty four. The three most used cartridges are the forty four magnum, three fifty seven magnum and forty five a c P which gives no win. No I got I put ten
meldown second. Yeah, that was like my second I would think Rick, I thought that was just just a soft I think they would be the most popular because it's everywhere. Well, I feel like every jackass owns a nine millimeter, so that's why I was true. But the most common they don't tell about it. If you look at this is a conflict situation which I feel like a lot of people who know they're ours from a hole in the ground in bear country. Don't get in conflict situations. Okay,
you're really deep thinking. I just I'm going off of all of our hands. If you don't want to win the Spencer's think more about the question now. The forty four meg is overwhelmingly the leader in the clubhouse. It was used in twenty eight of the ninety three incidents. That's followed by the three seven magnum fort a CP and then after that I think you had the fine millimeter and actually think the twenty two long rifle was
in fifth place. Wow, very effective, Brody. You were on a heater that I don't think we've ever witnessed before in media trivia. So what happens next? If you get to choose with a five dollar donation goes? So what's it gonna be? Let's do the Public Land and Water Access Group? What the hell is that? They advocate for access to public lands and waters? They also handle a time.
It was started by a bunch of old pot bellied uh fly fisherman lawyers who are tired of rolling up to bridges and public rideaways and seeing no trespassing signs. Um uh, you know folks trying to passively fight our access to the waters and streams of Montana and they are currently working on a bunch of access issues with you know what, we're seeing a lot of like new landowners rolling in and trying to shut down pre existing ease months to public land. So this is a Montana group,
a Western group, nationwide group. What is it? It is now officially based in Bozeman. Drew Rey Haynes is there um director CEO. I'm not sure exactly how it structured. And do they identify themselves as pot bellied to or do you just identify this is the new generation? Okay, so they're not pot belly now. And you know, I think there's some more youth coming into the organization. I just gave to him because they got a hat from them that I really like. I like it one more time, Broady.
What are they called? Public Land and Water Access Association? A great victory by you, now, Adam or Luke. Before we get out of here, you guys have anything new and exciting you can talk about that's happening at weather be right now. Maybe that wildcat cartridge you were teasing earlier. Yeah, we just launched what is it, Luke our sixteen since my grandpa in the early forties came out with the stuff it's our sixteenth whether we uh cartridge. We came
out the six five RPM. A couple of guys in here been shooting that right, and uh, you got it. So we're we neck that up to a three thirty eight and we have a three thirty eight RPM when in our back country or back country carbon is a a five pound rifle that you can pack a you know, grain bullet. So for like a back country elk or bear type of situation, it's awesome. I've used it on moose, elk bear just was an Africa with a shot of kud do, So I mean it it works on large
game but still packs a punch. So it's kind of kind of our fun newest little thing. So it's actually this will be the first time I'm publicly talking about it, so it actually hasn't released yet. Luke and I were debating on the way here. I's not kind of publicly fully release it until yes, special Inside Information Tribune one more time. What's the new cartridge called eight weather be RPM and RPM stands for rebated Precision Magnum, which describes
the cartridge. And we had the six five previously that does that and it fits in our small action, so it's uh yeah, it's a it's a fun round. We've been having a good time with it. So like that's in our Mark five family. And we also have a new Vanguard cipher addition, So it's a Vanguard that's dipped in first light cipher, Sarah coated, spiral fluded barrel and comes with a break and you can find more about that on the Gallery of Guns dot com. And just call it a sexy gun. It looks nice. Yeah, Why
would you go six six and a half rpm? Is sweet? I'll tell you that I do like gravitate towards a heavier projectile. Is that all you're trying to do is capture folks who want a heavier bullet or what? At what point would you put down the six and a half rpm and go with this new one? Yeah? I mean yeah, for some of the larger game in North America, I think, I mean I've shot a shot a black Bear,
for instance, with six five rpm. Um, But yeah, I think in in some of the larger game or maybe tougher hides, different things where you'd want a larger either if the person has an interest for it or for whatever reason you want to, you know, have have a heavier bullet, a little bit more energy. Canna appeal to that.
So there are guys who like a heavier bullet like you, And so that way you could with that pair, we kind of split it where instead of going right up from six and a half going to a seven or a thirty, we went all the way to the three. So really between those two like you can kind of take anything. Um, yeah, I don't know if that answered your question, but a lot of Alaskan stuff makes a lot of sense. Yeah, yeah, I like it. Exciting stuff.
Luke and Adam thank you guys for playing. I hope you had fun, and join us next time for more Meatator Trivia the only game show where conservation always wins.
