Dr. Micah Nelp is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Princeton University. In this episode, we talk about IDO1 which is an enzyme in our body that affects the immune system. Sometimes the enzyme is good because it protects the fetus from being attacked by the mother's immune system, and other times it is not helpful because it protects tumors (cancer). Dr. Nelp has spent the last 4 years researching this one enzyme and in this episode, we discuss his research.
