Okay? So let me ask you a question. Who here has ever had life just, like, throw them a surprise? Some shit happened you didn't see coming. It took you out. Grief, sadness, loss. We so who here gets that no matter what you do, no matter what you do, you can count on becoming dysregulated. Does that make sense? It's gonna happen. Mercury's gonna go retrograde.
Okay? Something's gonna happen. Grief. In a couple weeks, half the country is gonna be dysregulated by whoever gets elected if you're in the States. Okay? It's gonna happen. That's going to happen. Okay? You get dehydrated. You're dysregulated. Okay? You wanna grow a business. You're getting a company. So if dysregulation is guaranteed, okay, it's it's guaranteed. You're gonna get triggered. You're gonna get triggered. Okay? You're gonna start a business, and some shit's gonna happen that you don't see coming. Okay? You're gonna get into a relationship, and they're gonna tell you something that triggers you at some point. Who Who here has ever been triggered by a relationship? Anybody? Okay. So what I'm saying to you is nervous system
dysregulation is basically automatic. It's going to happen. You woke up today, dysregulation happens. Okay? The fitness part is not staying stuck in a dysregulation and knowing how to reregulate. Who follows? This make sense? You get dysregulated. You go to depression. How do I get out? You go to anxiety. How do I re regulate? How do I befriend? How do I turn towards? Right? You're online trying to start a business and someone says some shit in the
comments. You're trying to grow a business and 1 month you have a cash flow month that's not that great or maybe you have a couple cash flow months. They're not that great. The fitness part is the rep of reregulation. Life will take you out no matter what. It happens, especially if you're ambitious. So our goal is not to make it that everything has to be gentle around you, that everything has to be just the way that you
want. Okay? Research is really clear on this, by the way. Trigger warnings don't help. All trigger warnings really do is increase people's anxiety about what they're about to say that could be triggering. Okay? Life does not come with a trigger warning, does it? No. Who here has ever had your life changed without your permission? Anybody? What does that imply? It implies that you can change your life without taking anybody else's permission also. So
what this means is life is gonna life. Life is gonna happen. Okay? What we wanna focus on, the fitness is, can I get back to regulation? Can I find my way back from dorsal shutdown? From sympathetic, from stress, from isolation, from not believing in myself, from being triggered. Okay? All this trauma informed nervous system work over the last almost decade now. Okay? Like, what's happened is people become more aware of their triggers.
Does that make sense? You become more aware of your triggers. You become more aware of what you're feeling. You become more aware of why you're triggered, what happened to you, what your attachment styles are. But what we gotta focus on, you and I, is how do we get you back to a place where your best machinery is running the show, your wisest self is running the show, and that you're not overriding stuff with too much performance and you're not lingering in shit with too much
healing but you can reregulate as needed. Who follows? Does this make sense? We're here to build strength emotionally. And so that is what we're really all doing here. Okay? So this is about building the strength and the flexibility to navigate the a predictable challenges of having ambition. That's your freaking problem, y'all. Your problem is you're ambitious. Think about this for a second. Who here is stressed about not having something that you want? The money, the time, the relationship
dynamics. Okay? If you didn't have any ambition, would you be stressed? Probably not. Okay? So it's your own fault in a way. Okay? And I don't think you shouldn't be ambitious. I absolutely think you should be ambitious. A 100% never would not want more. Okay? But what we wanna do is we wanna look at your life. And if you think about where you were 6 months ago, a year ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago, think about where you were. Are you further along now?
Are you wiser now, further along now? By a lot. Okay? That's not what makes you stressed out. What makes you stressed out is you're not looking back. Where are you looking? Forward. And if you look forward and you compare yourself to other people, how do you feel? Like shit? Stressed out? Okay. Here's the thing. Who here's ever achieved a goal in their life and then was like, wait a minute. I got the goal. Now what? Has it ever had that happen? Maybe it's
a weight goal, a financial goal, a relationship goal. Okay? Who here can see that as you grow through life, as you get to a place, once you get there, you're gonna want more forever. More love, more joy, more abundance, more compassion, something new, something different, something better. Who here can own that, but you want more? It's a good thing, by the way. Okay? This is a great thing. I would never
pathologize ambition. Okay? But if you're always gonna want more, time, love, money, freedom, clarity, etcetera, purpose, impact, whatever, you gotta get good at not having more yet because you'll never have what you want ever. Aren't you happy you came to this positive seminar? Right? What I mean to say is once you get what you want, once you whatever it is, okay, you'll be satiated for just a short period of
time, and then you'll want more. Who follows? This makes sense? I remember when I had our first $10,000 month, I I was just, like, super stoked. Right? Before Erewhon was, like, super popular. Back in the day, I, like, would go to, like, Trader Joe's on a budget. And my goal when I started my business was, like, I wanna get whatever I want from Whole Foods. Right? Because it's really whole paycheck. Erewhon is whole salary if you're in Los
Angeles. Okay? But the idea was I remember my first $10,000 a month. I went to I went to Whole Foods. I got whatever I wanted. I got the good green juice. I got the best, you know, almond butter shit. Like, I got the good shit. Who's I'm talking about? Okay? But then I had to fly to the UK, and I didn't wanna fly in economy anymore. So I bought a business class ticket. Me up. You wanna know why? I never wanted to go back after that. Once you fly business, you don't wanna go back. Right? So as
we level up, we get used to things. We want certain things. And I thought to myself, oh my god. This is horrible. Like, I can't believe this. If I have to keep flying business, I need to earn more money. Right? And you gotta make more money. Then you're not renting than you're buying. You're not buying. You're buying investment property. All these different things. You're single in your relationship. And your
relationship and then maybe you're married, and then you're married, maybe you're having kids. It's always becoming more and more challenging. Who follows? This makes sense? Okay? So we want to start to focus on in your nervous system fitness, regulate, dis regulate, reregulate, recognize that you're never gonna be where you wanna be, yet you can achieve your dreams. But once you do,
you'll have new dreams. Does that make sense? So we have to have the flexibility and the capacity to help you get there and to help you respond and learn how to interrupt the patterns of your rehearsed reactions because the trauma responses, those trauma reflexes, your nervous system reflexes are learned behavior from the past. Does that make sense? Right? Something happened. Your nervous system learned how to respond, and that's just kinda, like, how you
respond at all times in all situations. Okay? So we wanna help you not be overwhelmed by that, but to interrupt those responses to access your full potential. I want you to you need to think about your nervous system kind of like a smartphone. Okay? Right now, it could be running on an outdated operating system, and we wanna upgrade it to, like, the new version of it. Who follows? Does this make sense, y'all? Does that make
