(upbeat music) All right, so what I wanna talk about now is synchronicity. So I would love for you to throw in the chat, what is synchronicity to you? What do you know synchronicity to be? Core principle, flow, feel good, connection, Serendipity, recognition, divine guidance, stuff showing up, serendipitous favor, things working out smoothly, serendipitously, okay. Okay, so let's look up the definition of synchronicity, shall we?
If we look at the definition of synchronicity in Webster's, it's synchronistic occurrence. So if we go to synchronism, the quality or state of being synchronous or simultaneous, right? So synchronous, what does synchronous means? It means happening, existing, or arising at precisely the same time. Recurring or operating at exactly the same time period. So something that's, another way to think of it is you're in sync, right? Whether you're in sync with something, right?
Who follows, does this make sense? Okay, now here's the thing. Some of you were saying it's like, it's when things come together, it's when there's a flow state. And I got news for you, in sync. All right, all right, yep, in sync, that's right. with the boy band reference, love that. So, here's the thing about synchronicity, okay? I want you to take this in for a second, okay? Synchronicity is, okay? Meaning, think about this for a second. It's similar to Einstein.
Einstein said, we get to think about life as either everything being a miracle or nothing being a miracle. It's hard to start to ascribe that's a miracle and that's not a miracle, right? And so enjoying synchronicity is different than its synchronicity itself. Who here has ever experienced a synchronicity that you did not enjoy? Let me see if I show hands. Okay, yeah, okay, okay. So everything, everything is synchronicity. So, that's a little bit of a mind bender. But here's the thing.
When we talk about manifesting, when we talk about manifesting what you want, the vision that you have, the dreams that you were given, what you want to focus on is, you want to focus on two things. One, holding the vision for what you want, remembering it, and focusing on the feeling. But the other part is the process. And which one do you think is more important, the outcome or the process? Who here thinks it's outcome? Gotta have your outcomes. Who here thinks it's process? That's right.
Who here wishes it was more outcome-oriented and didn't have to worry about process? (laughs) Yeah, okay, yeah, me too, right? So the thing you have to understand is, is that synchronicity is at all times. And the synchronicities that we experience are either tend to be comfortable or uncomfortable. I won't categorize them as good or bad. You can think of them as enjoyable or non-enjoyable, okay?
But who here, for example, has experienced the synchronicity of so much pain that you decided to change? Who's ever had that happen before? Right? Now we're not like, "Oh my God, I had synchronicity today. I got my heart broken. (gasps) Right, like no, like no one's ever said that, right? But that is just as much a synchronicity as meeting the right person at the right time to unlock a business opportunity. Because it's all guidance. It's all guidance, okay?
And so what that means is, when we look at synchronicity from the holistic lens, okay, what you wanna know is that everything that's happening in your life, Everything that's happening in your life is feedback. And the reason why you may be experiencing more uncomfortable synchronicity than enjoyable synchronicity is because you are so focused on how you think it has to happen that you don't allow another way through. You get off course when you get attached to how you get there.
So what's ironic is the process is so important, but you have to be willing to adapt your process to get there. You have to be willing to adapt your process to how you get there. It's no different than experimentation, right? That's another way to think of it, okay? Everything is feedback, everything. Everything is feedback.
And when you are experiencing synchronicities that you enjoy, that means that you're lined up with, you could call it yourself, your higher self, that sense of a spiritual self. But guess what? When you're experiencing synchronicities that you don't enjoy, it could mean the same thing. To assume that your soul is only present in positive or comfortable synchronicities is to misunderstand the universe, okay? Now, I'm not suggesting that it's God's plan for you to be traumatized, okay?
I'm not suggesting that. But what I am suggesting is that we learn through contrast. That's how we learn through contrasting experiences, okay? There really is no other way to learn. And so what we wanna focus on is the process of understanding that every moment is a synchronicity, And instead of making it about who you are at an identity level, what does this mean at an identity level, it's what am I learning? What am I being told? What is the feedback I'm getting right now?
I'll give you an example, okay? We're launching a new challenge. Came up with a name, had the angle. I went to write the copy and my body was like, would not write the copy, right? It just would not. And I thought, I was like, "Mastin, "you know how to write copy, you know what you're doing, "you got the angle, what's wrong?" And I just like, and I had a deadline, I missed it. But my body was like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Right? And I was frustrated.
And I was like, what am I learning? Right? It's always one of those moments, right? And this little subtle voice was like, what you're learning is to trust me. This is not the right thing for you. But I was like, and to me, I'm like, it's the right market. It's the right market size. It's the right angle. It's unique. It's different. It's all these things. And that part of me said, you call it myself, my higher self, was like, "Sleep on it. "Just sleep on it."
And I was like, "You don't understand. "I have a deadline." And this part of me, I have like a, sometimes passive aggressive relationship with God, we'll call it perhaps sometimes. We have a little, we have an understanding, right? And God was like, "You don't think I know your deadlines?" (laughing) (laughing) And I was like, just a stubborn little child, and I went to bed. And I was like, fine, whatever, you win. I'm tired anyway, right? So, woke up, brand new idea.
And I said, does this feel more like me? Does this feel more like my core? More like what I'm really all about? And guess what, the copy came out in like five seconds. It was like, (blowing raspberry) it just like came right out, right? And I was like, "That's my shit!" And when I wrote it and when I saw it and I felt it, my whole body got goose bumps or god bumps or however you want to think of it. And it was like the copy wrote that fast.
Now could I have overridden it, pushed through, said the market was this, this is the right angle, I'm being lazy, whatever, yeah, whatever, wait till the morning, just push through and hit the deadline? What do you think? Yes or no? I could have. But unfortunately now, I'm so aware of how I feel, after all this goddamn trauma work that I've done, sometimes I wish I could just go back to my days of dissociation. Isn't it even worse that you could just do that, just go back and just not feel?
Just like, I liked it better when I could not feel everything, but then my life hit a rock bottom, right? But sometimes I just sometimes wish. Why? But I didn't, I paused. And what's amazing is, when we do that, we prevent, 'cause I could override that all day long, that would have put me on a certain trajectory. And I've done that multiple times in my life. And so it's important to understand that what's happening is feedback. Feedback, both when we enjoy it and when we don't enjoy it.
Especially, especially when we don't enjoy it, okay? The art of allowing is not, let me just let nice shit happen to me all the time, I'm so badass and God wants to sprinkle me with billions of dollars. That's not the art of allowing. The art of allowing is way more uncomfortable than that. The way that we talk about the art of allowing, another way to put that is hanging in the tension. The same thing. Because intention in the uncertainty of it, in the allowing of it is the unknown.
And when we do not know, that's scary. And our relationship to that unknown is important. But to think that synchronicity is only when you're in flow is to miss half of them. Who follows? So synchronicity, you are always in synchronicity. You are always in feedback. Every single moment of your life is synchronicity. And the question is, do you want to have synchronicities that you enjoy or synchronicities that you really don't enjoy, right? The answer seems obvious.
It's like, would you rather be in pain or pleasure? Well, obviously pleasure, right? Unless you're masochistic, right? But then you experience pain for pleasure, so you still choose pleasure, okay? So the idea is that when you learn to trust the part of you, the stillness in you, that sense of self that is subtler than your managers and firefighters, that is when you tend to experience more synchronicities that you enjoy. But it's a stranger choice. Weird things happen. It doesn't make sense.
And the data is your intuition. Intuition is also data. [MUSIC PLAYING] (upbeat music)
