We are, today, gonna be talking about how to finally break the cycle of old patterns from now on. So let me just ask a question. Who here has ever had a breakthrough? If you've had a breakthrough, just say yes. Play with me just for a second. Have fun for just a second. Have you ever had a breakthrough before? I imagine you have. Yes? Yes? No? Maybe so? Okay. Who here has ever had a breakthrough and then thought that your life your whole

life was just gonna change because this breakthrough was so profound? Who's ever had that happen? I'm curious. Yes? Okay. Who here, after having a breakthrough, being convinced it was going to completely change your life, woke up the next day and you were like, what was that thing I learned yesterday? Who's ever had that happen? Or maybe a week or 2 or a month later, it just faded. Who's ever had a breakthrough fade? Let me see if

I show of hands. Yes? Okay. So let's talk about that because what we want is we want to see, we're good right now in terms of teaching you about the best practices regarding, the nervous system, regarding, like, what has to happen. We've gone over so many things. We've gone so powerfully deep on that. Today, what we're gonna talk to you about and train you on is how to create sustainable results.

Does that make sense? Sustainable results. Because we need training, not just on self regulation, not just on the nervous system, not just on racial coregulation, not just on trauma, but what I found is and let me just see by show of hands. Who here has ever attempted to change your life but then stayed stuck not able to change your life? Who's ever tried that before? You know what I'm talking about? Okay. So if you've done that, what that means is you also need to learn how to

change your life. Okay? So we're so because the thing is, what we don't want is we don't want you walking away from this master class saying, you know what? That was amazing information, Mastin Jenna shared. That was incredible. Good for them. Good for their clients. This is awesome. I'm gonna go implement this. And then nothing happens, and it's another way that you can Kipp of

let yourself down. Because we want to create actual change, which means we need to teach you how to create a healthy nervous system, how to self regulate, how to do the trauma work, how to take a holistic approach, but we also need to train you on your approach to your approach. Does that make sense? Because otherwise, you're gonna say do the same shit over and over and over again versus let's have a breakthrough and create actual life change. That

make sense y'all? Does that make any sense to you? Okay. Beautiful. Because we wanna make sure that you can trust yourself. We wanna make sure that you can rely on yourself. We wanna make sure that you know how to set a goal, achieve a goal, not doubt yourself, not think it's not possible. Okay? So if you haven't met yet, my name is Mastin Kipp. I'm the cocreator of Functional

Life Coaching. I'm a best selling author. I have over 20000 hours working with clients to help them resolve their emotional blocks and exceed their goals. And now let's talk about how to create sustainable results. Alright? So we have been doing this work for 15 years, and I can tell you this. Okay? Most people we meet are looking for a magic bullet whether they want to admit it or not. Meaning, what's the tool? What's the fix? What's the hack so that I can get the results? Okay?

And so what people do is they go tool hunting. It's almost like hunter gatherer thing where it's like, what's the thing I need to do to solve my problem? Who's ever thought this before? I know that I have. Right? Give me the thing. Is it internal family systems? Is it somatic experiencing? Is it breathing? Is it tapping? Is it breath work? Is it somatic breath work? Which all breath work is somatic, but whatever. Is it meditation? Is it mindfulness? Is it

coaching? Is it cold plunging? Is it infrared saunas? Maybe it's, I don't know, red light therapy. Who knows? Right? But it's like the tool. There's we're so focused on tools, and tools are important. However, to construct a life at the next level, we need more than a tool. Because if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. So what we need is a tool kit where we're able to have more than just one thing, and we wanna recognize that not every tool is needed at every stage of the

journey. Does that make sense? Right? As an analogy, tool versus toolkit. So what we do y'all, what Jenna and I do is we create tools, tool kits, and context. Because do you need a hammer to build a house? Sure. What if you try to put in windows? No. Maybe not in that moment. Right? So we wanna recognize that we need a toolkit. And our number one hope for you, our number one hope is that what you're learning here hear me now our number one hope is that what you're learning here

does not become knowledge. That would be a failure on our part. What we want more than anything is we want what you learn here to become action. That's what we really want. We want to be embodied, and the way something becomes embodied is through action. Who follows? Does it make sense? It's experiential. The last thing we need y'all is more knowledge for God's sakes. Right? We already got enough knowledge. We had knowledge for days. We had Google or chat GPT

or AI, anything. And some for some reason, the more information that becomes available, the more stuck people are getting, which is really interesting, actually. Right? Because overwhelming. So God forbid this becomes actual knowledge. We want this to become action. Okay? So let's be clear for a second. Let's get super clear. What is your next level for you? Pick one area of your life, business, relationships, health, whatever it might be. Okay? Would it be making $10,000 a month as a

coach? Would it be getting a raise at work? Would it be finding your person? Would it be getting a divorce? Would it be losing weight? Would it be getting in shape? Like, would it be healing a disease? What would it be? Okay? What is your next level? Try to be as clear and specific as possible so we can start to understand. So your marriage, but what it what specifically, what does that mean? Are you gonna create a healthier marriage? Are you gonna exit your marriage?

Right? Like, what's the specific goal? Okay. Intimacy in my marriage. Okay. Love that. So let's let's kinda make that explicit, see if we can. And then what would you say was the reason that what was stopping you from your marriage, having intimacy in your marriage? Right? What was stopping you from being safe in your body and trusting other people? Right? What would you say it is? Let's think about that. Finding a healthy relationship. Okay. Great. These are great. So let's let's

feel safe being heard. Where? Oh, being heard in your relationship. That makes sense, Donna. Right? So we wanna define what your next level is as clear and Okay. That makes sense. Thanks, Harmony, for that. Finances been out of work since July. Okay. That makes sense. Thanks, Harmony, for that. Finances, been out of work since July. I need to do something for myself for income as I can't get higher. I can't get higher. Okay. Great. Okay. Now let's also think about how long how long

have you been stuck at your current level? Has it been a week, a month, a day, a year, a decade, a lifetime? How long have you been stuck where you are? Let's think about that. So we wanna understand what is your next level, what's been stopping you from your next level, and how long have you been stuck at the current level? Creating consistent income as a health coach, I can quit my day job, seeking approval outside myself my entire life. So

8 months, I'm stuck in a toxic relationship. Fear has been stopping me. Years, I continually do the same thing. Okay? 20 years. Wow. Thank you for being honest about that. Okay. So here's here's the goal. 20 plus years. Okay. Yes. Okay. Now let's talk about how most people try to change their life. There is a evidence based way that there's a documented state of change. So there's, like, these 4, I'm sorry, 5 or 6 ways that we try to

change. There's precontemplation where we're not really thinking about it yet. There's contemplation where you're on the fence, but blocks seem too big. There's preparation where you start to realize, okay, this is the support and help that I need. Then there's Mastin, then there's relapse. But then if you hang through that where old patterns come back, you create maintenance at a new level, and

then you go through that process again and again and again. So when you think about the next level that you have not been able to achieve yet, where do you hang out? Where do you tend to hang out? Pre contemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, relapse, where do you tend to hang out? I guarantee you it's not maintenance because that would be at a new level. Where in the stages of change you tend to hang out? So here's what happens. You don't know

that you have trauma. You don't know about your nervous system stuff that we've talked about. You start to realize I'm gonna go for it, but then you prepare. But you never quite get ready, so you contemplate and you prepare. And that's the trauma loop right there. Okay. So if you're an overthinker, you're stuck between 23. Okay? Maybe every once in a while, you get some you get some courage. You say, you know what? I'm sick of this shit. I'm going for it. And you just take action. You just

push everything aside. Who's ever done that before? He's, I'm just gonna go. It's gonna make it happen. Right. And then without awareness, something inevitably happens and you hit patterns, you hit old, you know, primal loops, you hit old, situations. You don't regulate the nervous system. You're all by yourself and something happens where you relapse and everything comes back. It forces you back into levels 1, 2, and 3. Who's experienced that over and over and over again? And

what happens is you go from level 1 to level 5 here. You hit burnout confirmation, and then you go, I've tried everything. And I said, okay. Maybe. But you've tried everything this way. There is a better way. Okay? So when we look at how we would help you through this process, when the predictable contraction relapse happens, we help you work together to cocreate and rescript a disconfirming experience that proves phases 1 through 5

wrong, and we help you get to level 6. And then we help you navigate the ups and downs with support. And by the way, this is how I live my life. Because once you get to level 6 here, you go back to level 1, and it goes around and around and around because you're ambitious. So what we wanna recognize is there are documented stages of change and transformation.

And if you can understand the pattern, understand how you do the pattern that's not helping you, recognize that you need safe and transformational coregulation on the journey because it's so hard to have that shared goal. All of a sudden, the path forward changes. So who here feels like just seeing this slide, the next level for you has just become a little more possible? Just by seeing this, like, oh,

this makes sense. I'm not saying it's fully possible yet, but maybe just Kipp percent more possible or 1% more possible or half a percent more possible. Right? Because this is what I I can I can almost guarantee you, if we look at the area where you're stuck, you do not have this set up in your life? So whatever I'm trying to achieve in my life, whatever Jenna is trying to achieve in her life, whatever we are trying to achieve in our lives, whatever we top our

clients with, this is how we go about it. Because without understanding the predictable patterns, okay, y'all will just do the same thing over and over and over and over and over again, and just say you tried everything. Okay? Except for this. This is another way of saying what I just said. What inevitably happens if you expand, expand, expand, expand, expand? What is going to happen? If our nervous system, like a thermostat, likes homeostasis, what's gonna

happen? You're going to have a contraction. So what happens is the process of growth is a sequence of expansions and contractions and we wanna learn how to intelligently make our expansions larger than our contractions and be able to predict the contractions so that they're less and less and less and less and less, which is absolutely possible.
