E238 - Millstone 100 Rye Whisky

A whisky voted "worlds best rye" 3 years in a row was virtually unknown to us until Kenny's son started a new business venture. In a strange coincidence, the founding of his company lead to the discovery of this rye. Each batch of Millstone Dutch Single Rye Whisky is meticulously handcrafted using 100% rye mash and aged for a minimum of 100 months in new American oak casks. The distiller claims that the lengthy 11-day fermentation process provides a complexity of flavor that sets this whisky apart. Well, we'll be the judge of that. Join us for this short and we explore a rye whisky that takes us well outside of our comfort zones.
