In 2018, Woodford Reserve debuted their Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey. As the third permanent extension of the Woodford line and the increasing popularity of malt whiskeys, we felt it necessary to sip and review this shelfie. This whiskey is a barely malt (coming in at 51% malt/47% corn/2% rye) and the tastings notes emphasize nutty characteristics and chocolate. Is that what we will taste? You never know.
