In Between Cultures: Self Discovery

The Maryland Made Podcast is back with Episode 4 of the 2023-2024 academic year. On this episode, Daeze sits down with senior football player Isaac, and sophomore track and field athlete Tolu to reflect on their as a first generation Ghanian-American and Nigerian-Canadian student-athlete and the impact their African culture has played in their identity. Culture is what makes everyone unique in this world - and there’s nothing better than sharing and learning about different cultures! African culture is diverse and Isaac and Tolu share memories of their upbringing and highlight values that remain intact while in the United States.
