Hey, guess what. This is a new one, brand new Mark Belling podcast. Now if you're listening to it April twenty seventh, I guess it's not brand new, but it's brand new because I'm doing it right now. For frame of reference, this is the afternoon of President Trump's State of the Union address, So we're doing the program on what day is it today? Tuesday the twenty fourth, So

that's the time frame for this podcast. My podcast season runs May one to December thirty First, First things first, there are a lot of people who don't know that. I kind of thought that was covered. First of all,

when I was doing my old radio show. The last two years of my radio show, I was working May first through December thirty first, and this podcast in the first year we started at May first and ran into December thirty first, and I don't know, a couple of times we mentioned in the podcast that and the last one that we did on the year, we talked at great length that this would be the last one. I'm just telling you, I've been inundated with people who think

that I've retired, or where's the podcast? Are you going to do another podcast? Have you been canceled no, this is the plan. Break. My plan for from now until the end of time is to have a podcast that's going to run from May first to December thirty first. However, we have a need for a special podcast. It's been about what seven weeks. There's no way I can go seven weeks without commenting and all of the things that

are going on in the world. So what we're going to do today is have a special podcast that's going to kind of be a bullet point podcast of covering some recent events, offering perspective on a couple of things,

and moving on. I also have a couple of announcements for those of you, and all of the podcasts are still out there in order, and you can go back and listen to the December thirty first podcast, because that's when we did our farewell to my producer, Paul, who had been with me forever and ever and ever and ever and ever, and we were done. So who do you think is producing this special podcast? There? He is?

He just there, he right is in there. Actually, we do have a new producer in the second season of the podcast, which officially begins May first. This transition little podcast that we're doing here, I guess is in its own category, although it will be This is podcast number

one oh six. Jason Gotch, who is the midday host on WISN Radio, where I work for thirty five years, He is going to be the new producer of the podcast and he's going to be taking over and in the meantime, Paul is teaching him how to do it. He's going to share with him everything that he knows, which should take what two minutes and fifteen seconds five minutes at the most. So Jason's going to learn how to do the podcast and he'll take over on May first,

and Paul is providing his assistance in the transitions. That's the first big change after like, yeah, it was about thirty five years, my first year of radio. We went through three or four producers, then Paul came in. I've only had him plus obviously fill ins when Paul was on vacation. So we'll have a new producer when the podcast returns for its full season. But both Paul and Jason are in here today. I want to address given that we're on the afternoon of the State of the

Union address, that's when I'm recording this. So I'm just convinced there's going to be all sorts of fireworks and crap at the State of the Union. So if you're listening to it after it, I can't comment on all that it was, other than to just anticipate that that's what's going on to happen, which is kind of the point of today's podcast. I believe just about every issue that's creating divisiveness in America right now it's all because of feigned outrage from the left. I don't even think

they're actually outraged. They're outraged that Trump is the president. They're outraged that they're not in power, but I don't think they are sincerely bothered by anything he's doing, none of it, which is why the reaction is such an overreaction. If you're gonna fake it, you may as well really fake it. What's the point of faking it and just putting on a few press releases in abject No, Let's go to the streets. Let's riot, let's scream, Let's start

throwing the F bombs all over the place. Let's say that everything is the greatest threat to democracy of all time. Let's just say everything is terrible. Let's stage ludicrous events. Let's act like children. There's no differentiation in the response to everything. Everything is the same, over the top, terrible thing.

So if some Trump actually does something that truly is outrageous or actually bothers them, it'll be the same reaction because everything that they're responding to, they're giving one hundred percent. And I'm just telling you it's all fake, and I know why it's fake, and I know why you're giving why they're giving this type of reaction to Trump. Do either of you know why? Do you want to volunteer an answer? Jason's never given an answer yet, Paul, do

you want to volunteer an answer as to you're training? Jason? In your word, you never paid attention when I actually did it, when I actually did the program. Jason, do you have an opinion as to why there all of these reactions are so hysterical and over the top. Jason says, they're saying that, yeah, but that's not it. They don't have anything to rally around, and they don't have anyone to rally around. Look where we are right now, we're

early in twenty six. The campaign for president on the Democratic side is going to be kicking in by late this year early next We now know that the year before the primaries is actually when the candidates are chosen. We saw that on the Republican side last time around. Trump didn't win the Republican nomination in twenty four. He went it in twenty three. He got into the race, The Santus was in the race, Nikki Healy was in

the race. But Trump took a commanding lead in the polls and then want to crush them all in the primaries. It was over before anybody actually voted. The polling determines whether or not you're gonna get any campaign fundraising. The candidates that don't do well in the polls fall up. Remember when Kamala Harris ran for president, you're the Joe Biden one. She dropped out in November before there were

any primaries. That's the primary season. And so my point is is that right now we're in the stage in which most of the attention of the Democrats should be around who their candidate is going to be. And various Democrats get all goosebumpy over this one and that one, and they starts signing up and saying that they don't have anyone that they're excited about nothing. They have no one to rally around. So therefore the only point of emotion is to rage against Trump. They can't rage for anything.

They can't get themselves wrapped up in any cause, any issue, so all they can do is rage against Trump. Look at what you have right now, and I'm just going to deal with events in the last few days. Look at the prime leaders in the Democratic Party. Biden, presumpted would presumably still be the leader of the party who was their last president. Totally see now useless Kamala Harris.

You can't rally around her. Look what she did. She was incoherent, babbling, possibly drunk, lightweight in over her head. There is no desire on the part of any Democrats anywhere to be led to anything by Kamala Harris. AOC massive following great fundraiser. She decided this thing where she went to that security conference of Greece. This was a planned big deal. This was her coming out party as a serious leader of the left, a serious leader of

the Democratic Party. She goes to a big shot, high end thing in which we're dealing with foreign policy, an issue that nobody ever associates with her. So she was prepped, primed to go there, and the bar was certainly low. All she had to do is put together a few sentences that were understandable, and the media was going to say, Wow, AOC, shine, this is AOC emerging. She showed that she's leaderlike and every line and every issue that was out there was

no doubt prep for her. She gets thrown a question on China and Taiwan. I'm telling you, I thought we saw the bottom with Kamala Harris in babbling and just throwing words together. Kamala sounded eloquent. Kamala was a Shakespearean character compared to AOC's answer, I didn't bring any and he oughtit to play because I think everybody's heard that.

I mean, I'm barely paying attention to anything. I'm down there in Florida and non Florida right now, back to Milwaukee for a few days to do things like well this, but at the level of attention that I'm paying to I mean, this thing just resonated everywhere. It was so terrible that even Democrats are ripping it, wondering, well, why would she go to this. Well, it's obvious why she went to it. If she's ever going to be taken seriously as a leader. She has to start doing things

like this. The question has been a question that's been on the front burner in America for twenty to twenty five years. What are we going to do if China invades Paiwan? What should we do? And every politician that's out there, and by the way, it's obviously a difficult question, but every politician that's out there has an answer. She didn't. Not only didn't have an answer, she could common will at least throw in the random scattered word that relates

to the question. It was never linked. The first word didn't have anything to do with the next. All I got from AOC was um uh, well, um um um. So you're a lefty? Really? Are you now enthused that AOC is going to be your champion? They love to claim that Trump is dumb. Trump has a command of just about every issue that's out there. Jd Vance probably even more so in terms of his eloquence on them. AOC could not talk her way out of a paper bag on that issue. So where's their enthusiasm? So now

let's go to the flip side of this. The ANTIAOC of the Democratic Party, the smoothest politician they have. You can't come anymore blowed, ride and well spoken than Gavin Newssom. You're never gonna hear Gavin Newsom with an um or an uh or a like. He in fact loves the give and take. He's going out there doing a podcast. He was jumping on some podcasts that were done by liberals. He's inviting liberals in there because Gavin Newsom has confidence in one thing and that is boy, oh boy, oh boy,

can I talk. I can sling the bs with the best of them. What he has going against him is the state that he runs is a total train wreck. He's destroyed California. California is an absolute mess. Businesses are leaving, taxes are high, the Great cities are a washing crime. It's a hell. That's what he is going against him. But when he has going for him is boy oh boy,

can he talk. And he looks the party. I mean, the hair is never out of place, and he's in with himself and he has overwhelmed with self confidence and he can talk. So there's him. So over the weekend he goes to Atlanta, nowhere near California. This is part of the Gavin Newsom presidential campaign. He's interviewed by the mayor of Atlanta, who's African American. Initially the reports were that the crowd was predominantly black. It was apparently lots

of people. So who it was he was referring to. Was he referring to black people? Well, he said it to a black mayor who was the interviewer. I'm just like you. I'm just like you. I'm a nine to sixty SAT guy. By the way, when I was in high school, we took the ACT, not the SAT. I had to look up for first. When I first heard that answer, I was trying to I couldn't remember what the scale on the SAT was. Is he bragging about how high he is or is this alone? Well, it's bad,

it's very low. And then he says he can't read. He said, I can't read a speech. I'm just like you. Is he saying to black people, I'm not very smart. I only got a nine to sixty SAT. I'm dumb like you. Is that what he was saying. Is he saying this to the mayor? Or? Is he saying this to America, Hey, America, you're all dumb. I'm dumb too. I mean serious, I'm trying to figure out what the intent of His point was when he says I'm just like you and then comes up with I can't read

and I have bad SAT scores. He's been fried for this. He doesn't even know how to respond, so he's trying to do. What do you do when you're backed into a corner and you've done something terribly and defensively, You change the subject, And the subject, of course, is just Trump.

He fired back at Sean Hannity in a post online, saying, yeah, well, your guy put out this racist video in which you know, he's got the ape video on the whole thing, which has of course nothing to do with what it was that he said, without regarding there are a lot of takes on that whole video. It appeared to be a run on video to the next one that they didn't snip.

But whether Trump knew what he was posting or he didn't know what he was posting is literally neither hearing nor there, because my point here is that Democrats are looking to their future, their candidate who it's going to be. But that's all new Sin could come up with in his response. He didn't want because he's so full of himself and could never be self effacing, which actually is a good political trade to be able to make fun

of yourself a little bit, which Trump always does. Trump is so over the top that everybody knows that what he's doing is with a wink and a nod. Newsom can't do that. Newsom can't come back and say I really butchered that. He can't do that. He can't come back and say I wasn't referring to black people, because then people would ask him, well, who then, who were

you referring to. So that's the Democrats. So if you're like a rank and file Democrat that's out there right now, which one of those people excites you, then there's all the moderates. The governor of Virginia is going to give the response to the State of the Union. They're passing or off as a moderate. But these you know, these people that are out in the street, shove it around, ice officers and so on, they're not interested in any moderate.

You've got Shapiro of Pennsylvania, but sure of Kentucky that I'm excited by them. The point that I'm making is they're not excited or goosebumpy about any Democrat that's out there. None. I go back to when I was younger, when you know the party and power was in place and you're looking for your own candidate. Every this would be about the time that people would start rallying around, no matter what the year was. Go back to the seventies, Jimmy

Carter mou'd all and all of that. Go back to the eighties when you know Teddy Kennedy was running against Jimmy Carter. They got nothing, So all they have is their outlet is to attack Trump. So to attack Trump, they have to attack what it is that he's doing. And I'm just telling you that it's all pretend. The Ice thing is all fake. Barack Obama was called the

deporter in chief. There were ice raids all the time on my account on x formerly Nimouswitter, which you all should follow because it's the only way to hear from me. Right now, I've been posting much more there because I'm on the hiatus. On the podcast, I posted this long news story that CNN did during the Obama years in which they did a ride along with ICE as they were out there apprehending criminals, and it was all done positively about what a great thing this was. It was

only ten years ago. So the very thing that Ice is doing now was being done ten years ago and no one was bothered by it at all. Because they're not bothered by it. They are pretending to be bothered by it because they need to have an outlet to bash Trump. The tariffs without regard to your position on tariff's, tariffs were more of a Democrat thing than a Republican thing for the longest time. They're not outraged over this.

They are pretending to be outraged if Kamala won and she slapped out a bunch of tariffs, or for that matter, if AOC oh my god, I can't even say. If AOC wins and becomes the president in twenty nine and she does dips, they won't be bothered by it. They're not against tariffs, it's pretend. And then Epstein. The Epstein thing was covered up the entire eight years Obama was president and no one paid any attention to it. During the four years Biden, no one paid any attention to Epstein.

Now suddenly they decided that Trump is all tied into Epstein, whether he is or is in. And I think the only tie and you see between Trump and Epstein is they were both hanging around Palm beat. Trump was never at the island. Trump said bad things about Epstein. There wasn't any of that. But they have to try to pretend now that they are outraged over Epstein. When did they become outraged over Epstein? When did they become out Why aren't they outraged over Bill Clinton and the Clintons

and their connection Epstein. Why aren't they bothered by Reid Hoff and they're big, huge super donor, the guy who founded LinkedIn and his ties to Epstein. It's all fake. They are looking for reasons to hate Trump, but they don't have any actual reasons to hate Trump, and therefore the reactions that they give you are these over the top screaming When you look at all of these suburban women, you know, ICE is now kind of and out of Minneapolis with that operation. And let's be honest about this.

If ICE isn't going to get support from the local police agencies, it's very hard to come in and do deportations. And we can talk all we want about deporting all of the illegal immigrants in this country, but when you have an ICE team of eight people having to confront five thousand people that are trying to obstruct them from doing their duty, it becomes an impossibility. So if all we do is remove all the illegal immigrants from the Red states that are going to give local support to ICE,

let's accomplish that. The point that I make, though, is when you see this hysterical reaction from so many of these suburban women trying to stop the ICE, none of that is real. These are people that are hateful, angry people looking for an outlet to spew the venom that is just shrilling around in on their insides. Because if it was real, that outrage would have manifested itself at some point when Barack Obama was throwing people out of the country right and left. But it didn't. A couple

of other quick takes. Robin Boss is not running for reelection, leaving a speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly. I'm not even a newspaper column about that this week, which you can find at gmtoday dot com. Sometimes it's behind a paywall, sometimes it's not. It's not out yet as I'm doing this podcast on a Tuesday, but it'll out after that. It's hard to assess Robin Boss because, as many of you who listen to the old radio show no, I mean I occasionally battened Robin's head around like he was

a bobblehead doll. On the other hand, he's, without doubt, along with Scott Walker, the most consequential Republican in the state of Wisconsin in the last thirty years. The thing about Robin is he was incredibly smart. I say it was as if he's dead his tenure. He was very, very smart. He was a master fundraiser. He had the ability to get anything through the State Assembly he wanted passed, and stop anything that he didn't want to get through

the state Assembly. The problem with all of that is is that I think that it occasionally meant that he was out of touch with a lot of Republican rank and filers. My greatest summary of Robin Boss is he was probably the most despised Republican in the state by Democrats and by Republicans. And given the fact that speakers tend to be unpopular among members of both parties legislative leaders are, it's probably an indication on the overall he did a very very good job the Olympics. I mean,

could they have been any better? One brief comment on the explosion of patriotism in the wake of the Americans winning the hockey gold medal, lefties are upset that President Trump put in a call to the hockey team in the locker room. This bothers them. Do you know how long I've been watching presidents of the United States call Champion? I mean the President used to call the Super Bowl? At all this has been going I mean it may have been. I think it's been going on since before Reagan.

I don't know that it has ever bothered anybody of either political party at all, which, again, this tells me that it's all fake. Now I think I'm doing this the afternoon of the State of the Union. Is it true, Paul or Jason that that the hockey team is going to be at the State of the Union? The men's will be, and the women's team declined the opportunity to go there, and some people are criticizing them for that.

My whole point is if people want to go and support the president, they can, but if they don't, that's their prerogative too, and we shouldn't be hating on people for either side. It's not like you have an obligation to go. But it also doesn't mean that it isn't a great thing that if you want to go. If I was a great athlete in Barack Obama invited me after I won some championship, I wouldn't have gone, and I wouldn't have gone for Biden. And I recall some

people didn't go when those people were in place. That's their right and it's no reason to hate on them either way. But I'm telling you, I think far fewer conservatives are mad at the women's team for not going, then lefties are going to hate on the men's team for going, which says a lot about them. All right, podcast is going to be returning May First, some announcements. To make big announcement, Every single one of my podcast
