The Pen by Larry David really did not move the two hosts of the Four Who Rule, Ashford and Erin. Without Kramer and George, this episode is truly depended on the double act of Jerry and Elaine, which is quite good, but with the retirement home bickering and rumors, things get annoying rather quickly. Kramer has more to do, Elaine's career is given more light and George and Jerry are more school boy childlike than ever.
Jerry tries to do Elaine a solid by informing her of an upstairs apartment that is now available, only to regret having his ex-girlfriend living upstairs from him.
