Sammer and Nour talk to Heraa Hashmi, the organizer behind MuslimsCondemn.com, about her views on Muslim American politics, women’s rights, and Muslim support of the LGBTQ movement. Heraa also offers advice to Muslim centennials on how to make sense of these heated issues. Heraa Hashmi is the 19-year old Muslim American woman behind the 712-page list of Muslim names condemning a collection of wrongdoings done falsely in the name of Islam, from acts of terrorism to climate change. Heraa was born in India and moved to Colorado at a young age. She’s a graduate of the University of Colorado, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology.
