Episode description

On this episode of the MacGuffin Guild, we're gonna join the powerful alchemist as he leads a thief and seven materialistic figures through a corrupt, greed-fueled world in search of enlightenment in the Holy Mountain.

This 1973 Adventure, Drama, Fantasy was Created and Directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky, who also stars as the Alchemist.

We're gonna talk about the risk of introducing certain movies in mixed company, what this podcast would be like without Justin in it, nudity and animal cruelty in film, and Pat's trip to Belize.

We'll discuss the other works of Alejandro Jodorowsky, artgasms, hippo budgets, the plight of ancient vampires, and how many jars of testicles it requires to build a temple. We'll get into films that are "rated more than R" as well as the art of making movies to lose money.

I'm Pat Dougherty and as always I'll be joined by my fellow MacGuffin's Justin Jones and Mike Antonio.  Our theme song was written and performed by Jordan Vincent. So, join us as we explore the surreal world of Jodorwosky in search of answers and immortality in The Holy
Mountain.
