Episode description

On this episode of the MacGuffin Guild, we'll be heading on set
with the crew of Living in Oblivion.

This 1995 film about making a film stars Steve Buscemi, Catherine
Keener, Dermot Mulroney, James Le Gros and features the first credited
performance of Peter Dinklage as Tito the dwarf. It was Directed by
Tom DiCillo.

We're going to discuss film set jargon, gaffers tape and how this film
was originally intended to be a half hour short. We'll talk about how
everything that could go wrong, goes wrong.

We'll discuss Patrick Swayze's pre-scene moves, the Transformer that
turns into a brief case, the benefits of putting Preperation H on your
eyes and the inspiring impact of the unmade film "Gorephanage". We'll
also talk about Pat's confusion between The Matrix and 13 Ghosts.

I'm Pat Dougherty and as always I'll be joined by my fellow
MacGuffin's Justin Jones and Mike Antonio.  Our theme song was written
and performed by Jordan Vincent. Now, quiet on the set, 'cause we're
gonna make a movie! Call Pictures Up! Sound Speed! and Action! ...on
Living In Oblivion.
